I hired CentaPro Painters to paint the interior of my house in September 2021. Initially, I wanted to go with an independent contractor, someone not part of a large organization. Of the independents I called, some were too busy to even come out and look at the job, one came out, but never called back. I was impressed by the quick response once I placed the call to CertaPro. Shortly, after I called, I received a call from Crystal, residential sales associate, and set up an appointment for an estimate. She came out, took very accurate measurements, answered my questions and concerns, and provided a preliminary estimate of the job. Within a couple of back and fourths, we agreed on the scope of the job and the price. The two-man crew assigned to my job was headed by Efrain. Efrain took every effort to protect furniture, floor, etc. He did a remarkable job re-attaching and fixing a large crack in the ceiling of a room. They arrived every morning at the time specified and put in a long day of work. Meticulous to detail and cleanup. All walls, ceilings, baseboards look great. No regrets, the price was probably in the mid-range. read more

We were referred to Certapro of Thousand Oaks by our local paint store who told us they were one of the best painters in the area, which already attests to their reputation in the community. We had them paint the exterior of our home. We also had a strange request for an area of brick in the front of our home that had originally been painted over white, which we wanted them to paint to look like actual brick and mortar. Efrain and his team did an amazing job. Very hard working and professional. They took their time with the prep and repairs. Our home looks crisp and clean. They had to hand paint the "mortar" part of our brick wall, which was long and tedious work, but they did really quality work - it looks absolutely real even from up close. They took time to do a final walk through with us and fixed every last detail to our satisfaction. The owner, Leonard, is very knowledgeable, personable and offered us a very fair price. He did not nickel and dime us and was very kind in working toward a price that worked for us. We would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

I recently purchased a townhouse in Oak Park that needed extensive drywall repairs:patching and a full interior paint job. I was able to schedule a free in home estimate through their website. Crystal from CertaPro arrived promptly, toured my property, walked me through the process took measurements and answered all of my questions. She was very knowledgeable and professional and provided me with an written estimate the following day. The estimate was extremely detailed. An at home color consultation is also included which i used and felt was very beneficial. The painting crew, Alex and his dad, did an exceptional job. They patched all the holes, repaired the drywall cracks and completed the paint job exactly as I had requested. The reason I am rating this the way I am is due to the following. The two painters that showed up to my home were on time every day and polite. However, CertaPro charges extra for using more than 3 paint colors. I asked for the same type of paint for my mantle, stairs, and railings and was told that they could not use the same type of paint as was used previously. They did not sand the doors when they knew it had an oil-based paint on it from beforehand. The doors are peeling after only 3 days. I do not believe that part of the paint job was done properly in the first place. I found droplets of paint on my floors in the rooms painted. I am disappointed with CertaPro and they did not earn my complete satisfaction. My stairs and doors are not what I expected and therefore, I cannot give a higher rating. read more

We recently used the painting services of Leonard Martinez, Owner of CertaPro-Painters of Thousand Oaks, CA, to paint a large wooden fence and 2 gates in our yard. The painting team that Leonard sent was excellent, polite, and vey neat. The first day they arrived on time, prepped the fence & gates and applied a Primer Coat. The second day the team applied the paint that we had selected from Sherwin-Williams in Thousand Oaks. The color looked just like the sample, and all of their work was very efficient and neat. When Leonard arrives to pick up the check, he also takes any remaining paint left over and not wanted, plus all the prepping and painting materials left by the painting team. It was the most efficient and cleanest paint job we have ever contracted. read more

Leonard and his team did an outstanding job of renovating our oak staircase and built-in hutch in our dining room. The staircase railings and casings were custom stained to perfection, while the spindles were painted a beautiful semi-gloss swiss coffee. Our hutch is made of oak and looked dated. Cabinet doors were removed and euro-style hinges were installed and the hutch was painted with a semi-gloss swiss coffee. Our dining area looks current and it also makes the room look larger.
