Went here for an event. Super spacious with ample seating indoors and outdoors. There is a lot of street parking around. I had no issues finding parking at all. The staff was really nice and helpful. We started coming here during the World Cup to watch games and became regulars, back multiple times a month since. The space is great when it's not packed, though the food was never really the draw for us. Yesterday we were left standing outside in the heat while others were let in. The owner knows us by now, knows we're not occasional visitors, and typically run bills well above $500 a visit, and still didn't hesitate to turn us away. Loyalty and spend apparently mean nothing here once the room gets full. We won't be back. read more

Yesterday, I came in with two friends to watch a few World Cup games. The service was great, but the way the night ended completely changed our impression of the establishment. After watching the England and Panama matches, and ordering food and drinks with plans to stay for dinner, we were abruptly asked to leave our table. We couldn't even finish our last beers or order the meal we had intended to. The hostess, Alexa, told our server that the table was reserved and that we had been informed of that. We had not. When we were seated, we were told it was a communal table and that another group would eventually be seated with us, which we were fine with. However, neither our group or the other party seated with us were told there was a time limit or that we would be asked to leave before the next game. We confirmed this with the other guests when both groups were moved right before the Colombia match. So, if you're planning to watch World Cup games here, be aware that you may be asked to give up your table without prior notice. As for the rest of the experience, the beer selection was solid, and our server, Edwin, was awesome. The menu offered plenty of options, though what we tried was underwhelming. read more

This is my go-to brewery spot in Miami. I love the vibe. It's relaxed and casual but not grungy whatsoever. Plenty of seating outside, inside, and at the bar. I love their menu and always get a flight because I like how many sours and IPAs they offer. The food is always great, too! I want to go for happy hour but haven't been yet as I usually go in the late evening or during the day on a weekend. After dinner in Wynwood, we wanted to grab drinks somewhere fun but not overly crowded or loud, and La Tropical Brewery ended up being the perfect spot. The vibe was cozy, relaxed, and honestly such a nice change from the usual busy Wynwood atmosphere. Of course we had to try the sours, and they were AMAZING. The kiwi, mango, and passion fruit flavors were all so good and super refreshing. The service was also incredible -- our waitress was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they had happy hour from 11 to 1, and it worked out perfectly since we got there right during that time. Great drinks, great service, and a chill atmosphere that still feels fun without being chaotic. This brewery is really off the beaten path, but it has some solid features. Came on a Sunday afternoon. The place was a little busy. There is an outside courtyard which has its own bar area. There is a really big inside area including a long bar. This place would be great for a group function. I liked the beer. Only really had one beer here because from the descriptions, the was really nothing that was calling me. I could have gotten a flight, but both bartenders seemed preoccupied so I didn't want the extra wait. It did take them a while to get to me and really the place was not that busy. Once I got their attention and my beer, the service got remarkably better. Like many of the breweries which are left in Miami, this one is more like a club. Still a good place to visit. read more

La Tropical Cerveceria is such a staple. I seriously love it here. They have an extensive beer menu with so many options to choose from, and I love that they even have margaritas mixed with beer. It's such a fun twist. They also have a full bar, so whether you're a beer person or not, there's something for everyone. The seating situation is amazing. Tons of space inside and outside, which makes it perfect for big groups. It's also great to work from during the day because there's plenty of room and the vibe is relaxed before it turns into more of a lively scene at night. The ambiance is one of my favorite parts. Lots of greenery outside, open air vibes, and they often have live music which makes it even better. They're always hosting different events too, so there's usually something going on. Service is good and friendly, and the curry jerk wings are my absolute favorite. So flavorful and always a must order for me. Overall, this place is awesome for everything. Wish it was raining when we went but the temperature was so nice it didn't cause to much of an issue. We really enjoyed the food. The vibe there was exciting and they had a private event but we were still invited inside. They played Geek Who Drink if your interested if theme nights, you'll love this. The ambiance inside was so fun and there was so much to keep your eyes busy. The beer was delicious and we got ourselves the 22oz. Came to this brewery a few times for the world cup, and it has been the best place to enjoy the games. Service has been great, food is very solid and beverages are all really good. We had a few good servers and bartenders but the bartender Daniele really stuck out. She was fast and help many guests while also providing great customer service. Very disappointing experience. The biggest issue is the lack of pricing transparency. The bar does not provide an itemized receipt unless you specifically ask for one, making it very easy to miss that a 23% gratuity has already been added. Only after insisting on an itemized receipt did I discover the automatic charge. Even worse, the bartender asked for my credit card and processed the payment without clearly telling me the final total. Customers should always know exactly what they are being charged before their card is run. The prices themselves are also difficult to justify: $18 for a house rum and $20 for a whiskey, before tax and the automatic 23% gratuity. A simple two-drink order came to over $50. I'm happy to tip for good service, but mandatory gratuities and hidden pricing should be communicated clearly and upfront. Transparency builds trust; these practices do the opposite. I hope management reconsiders how receipts and automatic gratuities are presented, because customers deserve to know exactly what they are paying before authorizing a charge. read more

This used to be one of my favorite breweries to visit because of the wide selection of beers, wine, and cocktails, and the diverse food menu. I visited recently and while the menu was the same, I feel the quality of the food has gone downhill. For example, we ordered yucca fries which were my favorite thing to get, and they were definitely frozen, small, and super fried with barely any yucca inside. This is compared to in the past they were large wedges and tasted fresh. Our server was very nice but service a bit slow. Beers tasty as always and a fun atmosphere. Still one of my favorite places, especially to sit outside in the courtyard. read more

In sort of a weird and hard to find location on a dead end street. Not much parking available. Large seating areas both inside and out and they do have free wifi. We hit their happy hour when most beers were 5 or 6 bucks a pint. We tried 2 different ipas which were completely forgettable in every way. The beers I've tried in Miami just don't hold water against those in other parts of the US I've visited. We sat at the bar and were eventually served though they weren't busy...what was unforgettable was how stoned to the bejeesus the beertender was. He filled our pint glasses quick like, but he was so stoned I had to ask him three different times to get just one glass of ice water. Cool venue, but service needs work. The brewery is so beautiful I love how they have both outside and inside seating. My favorite is their sour beers but I also love how they have both food and a pretty full bar so even if you're not into beer you can get other cocktails or appetizers. They also have the actual brewery in seating view which is super cool and host nights like trivia and other fun events. All the staff is super cool and make it easy to relax there. I go here maybe like once a week and will continue to do so, I recommend to family's company's and solos alike it's a great pit stop in the heart of Wynwood! read more

La tropical has a fun jungle outside. They tried to take our order twice, which shows they really care. You can do four 5 oz beer flights for $15. There are 13 options. A couple of the expensive beers are only sold in bottles and don't qualify. You can get beer to go as 6 packs, crowler. We tried all four ipas and thought they were below average: Nativo key Tripolina La hazy La tropical Cali ipa The wings were very good. The spice is in the sauce which is odd. The Brussel sprouts were good, but there was a pool of agave which made them soggy and not crispy. read more

Cerveceria La Tropical is massive, and the indoor/outdoor layout makes it work just as well for a big group as it does for a casual date night. They brew everything on site and will actually walk you through it, a cool touch you don't get at most places in Wynwood. The pretzels and fries are the move, don't skip them. This place is my old standby every time my wife and I are in Miami. Came here today and had the Media Noche sandwich and the Chorizo flatbread. Both were outstanding. The Noche was hot, stuffed with melted cheese and meats. The Chorizo flatbread was very, very good. Had the Tropical Crystal beer and it came cold and refreshing. The space is incredibly pretty. The sleek aesthetic is highlighted by the steel canisters of beer brewing. The restaurant has a modern feel that also feels very Miami. I had the yuca fries and pretzel, both of which were great. The yuca fries were super crispy yet creamy in the middle. Their cilantro aioli was not too cilantro tasting, which was great because cilantro can overpower dishes easily. The pretzel and beer cheese were great and not heavy tasting at all. The pretzel itself was pretty soft and had a great salt feel. The drinks were incredible. I love that I'm having beer made by the restaurant--super tasty and highly recommend!
