Called for pumping, they showed up in a few hours. Told me they just had to hydro clean and tank would empty. I asked them it worked and the guy said the level went down a lot. Right as the guy was about to leave our septic pump kicked on and we got to see the problem was not fixed at all , the water from the pool came up flooding the yard. The guy then insisted it was something else and demanded cash payment. That's a whole other story. His ad specifically says that they beat competitors prices, it also states a price for pumping. When I asked to clarify a price because a few hundred can be 200 or 900 they repeat A FEW HUNDRED. So I said yes, you can come they said they would be here by 11 am on 1/2/2023. When they haven't showed up I called around 1 pm. The person who answers the phone said someone is on the way. Well no one has showed up it is now 1/3/2023 at 1:50 pm and no one has even contacted us to let us know what's going on. I called on 05/29/22 at 4:00PM , the receptionist told me that someone will be there shortly, no one shows up until 05/30/22 at 9:30 am.A serviceman by the name of Troy came in ,perforated a pipe in my basement and caused a flood. when I reported the incident to his boss both of them claimed that the pipe was old and his boss Joe yielded at me stating " don't bother me on a holiday . The job was completed properly and promptly, but the way this company does business is despicable and deceiving, thus my low rating. My husband called Cesspools R Us, but after giving our address and not receiving answers to his questions over the phone, told them not to come to our house. I called another company (Company B)and made an appointment for the same day. A few hours later, a van without any signage on it pulls up, and the man says he's from the cesspool company. I assume it's Company B since Cesspools R Us was told not to come. He gives me an estimate that was way higher than an advertisement I saw, so I showed the ad from Company B to the man, and he never mentions he's from a different company, he just says it's a different service then the ad specifies. When it's all said and done, I get the paperwork saying that it's not Company B but Cesspools R Us. I thought maybe it was a dispatch service since I noticed that Cesspools R Us ran many advertisements with the same phone number but different company names in the same publication. 1 hour later, Company B shows up. I felt so deceived. I had them give me an estimate, and the cost for the same exact service would have been $200 less. I have since been trying to contact Cesspools R Us, but the rude phone operator takes my information and no one has yet to respond. Cesspools r us sent another contractor to run a pipe from house to cesspool. Their first attempt they put new pipe in wrong place and were sent back a few days later to do the correct job . They totally wrecked my lawn I have a friend that had same job done and you you can hardly tell. My lawn however is totally destroyed. We will have to put new lawn in this spring. :(. read more

We had made several calls to different companies to get quotes. All seemed unreasonable, Or just overly exspensive. Cesspools R Us sent Tommy over and he was at my house within a half hour. It took almost an hour and a half just to find our cesspool, because we weren't sure where it was, but he didn't stop until he found it. He did the job, our tub no longer had standing water in it but for some reason the toilet was not working as well we wanted, we called them and they sent Tommy back the next day to make sure it worked as expected. Absolutely horrendous service! First, the driver got lost coming to my home. When he arrived he jet cleaned the cesspool and threw in some chemicals. We found that there was still a clog in the pipes leading from my house to the cesspool. The driver asked permission to enter my house and he poured more chemicals down the drain of my stall shower. This seemed to unclog the pipe and he driver then took the Clorox in my bathroom and poured that into the shower basin which caused a chemical reaction that fogged up my bathroom and created a dreadful chemical stench. Going outside, he closed my cesspool and dragged two hoses from my backyard to his van, leaving behind two trails of cesspool sludge. He said the first rain would clean that up. He then said he was heading to the emergency room because his lungs were burning from the chemical reaction in my bathroom. When I went back to my bathroom I found the drainage screen in my shower had pretty much melted due to the chemicals and the sterling silver ring I keep in a dish near the sink had turned black--really black. This, too, was a result of the Clorox/chemical fumes. (Our local jeweler was able to restore the ring, thank God!) I am awaiting a plumber to come and examine the pipes under my house to see if they were damaged by this completely unprofessional cesspool cleaning. Do not use Cesspools R Us. In addition to defacing my jewelry and leaving cesspool sludge all over my lawn, the man seriously jeopardized my health and his own. One star because i cant leave a zero! I think all the good reviews were done by family or friends because our experience matches up with the 6 complaints from the Better Business Bureau. First of all, who knocks their name off of a toy store, how unoriginal can you be... I personally didnt choose these guys, i would never after the research i did on them but my elderly mother chose them out of the yellow pages and had them come in while i was at work. The man was very unprofessional and rude. When he "installed" the toilets, they were much taller than the ones we had there previously so they wobbled back and forth and he told my mother thats "normal" and it takes about 2 months to settle in - what???, he didnt even put any glue at the base to stay still, then when i got home i told her it should not wobble this way and she needs to call him back to fix bc we ran the risk of the toilet falling over whenever we got on and off and possibly ruining the plumbing. I told her to let him know that if they dont come back that day that we will file a complaint with the BBB and with NYS Consumer Dept. and he lashed back stating "Tell your daughter she can call whoever she wants". He reluctantly came back to actually put glue on the base to hold it in place and told my mother "What did you do?, It looks like you were jumping up and down on the toilets which is why it was wobbling" - Really you idiot? First you take advantage of my elderly mother then you claim we were jumping up and down on the toilet when you initially told my mother that its "supposed to wobble" for 2 months??? There are a lot of bad reviews published here about cesspool companies. In reality, that's understandable because you're not dealing with Ivy League graduates or the crème de la crème of the Hamptons social scene. Instead, you're dealing with people who pump poo for a living and knowing that, I recently called up Cesspools-R-Us to come over to my house and perform that task. One of the better ways to work with these industry pro's is to have a pocket full of cash. When they arrive and evaluate you and your septic situation, you generally have an opportunity to negotiate a better deal. When the poo professional gives you his first price, offer him 2/3rds of what he asks, tell him you'll pay cash and flash a wad. Sometimes it works, especially during normal business hours. You can always send him away and he knows that. At the very least, you can save the sales tax, sometimes more. They guy who came over from Cesspools-R-US was a reasonable fellow. He sized me up, came in with a slightly higher price than I knew he could do and then settled for something a bit more reasonable. Then he got to work and silently performed his task like the dedicated professional he was. I was satisfied with my experience. read more

My son in law called this company for a water back up in the basement of his home and when they arrived and evaluated the problem he was told that he had a 4000 gallon cesspool tank and that it would cost $650.00 to pump out. When they were done and paid in full and left the water back up came back. What gets me wondering is how you can fit 2000 gallons from the cesspool which he was told only 1/2 of the tank was pumped out in a van which the mechanic came there with ?? After speaking with the company the mechanic came back and routed out the discharge pipe from the house and corrected the problem Watch out for this company, they will scam you and take advantage of you. I am truly unhappy with the service and follow up provided by this company. I had a cesspool overflow problem and called Cesspools R Us for assistance. The service men arrived over 45 minutes later than expected but got to work locating and "fixing" the issue with the cesspool. We then followed the 12-24 hour cesspool aftercare instructions for use to a T. However, after the wait period we developed the same overflow issues. As I was provided with a 1 year guarantee, I called the company to have a service person return to my residence. My first appointment came and went with no service person arriving or calling me back. When I called the company, I was told that they had an overload and would arrive in the a.m. The call center representative was extremely unprofessional, short and rude, as if I paid her to do a service. I then had to call the call center back 3 times to receive confirmation that a service person would return to my home. I have my fingers crossed that someone will arrive this time but I doubt it. Needless to say, I will not be using this company again and I will not recommend this company to my family, friends or my worst enemy. This company sent someone over in an unmarked red van to find a cesspool. After putting holes all over a .5 acre yard, including through a water line, they left after an hour and said they couldn't complete the job. I put through 9 to 10 calls through, and they kept telling me that someone would be by, or that someone is only a half-four away, or that they're just finishing up a job nearby and will come by after, or that they'll check and call you right back. They kept me waiting, forcing me to take the whole day off work, and still they never showed up again. Not only that, but they never even fixed the line they broke. I never even received one call back from them. This isn't a cesspool company, they're located in a residential area, working out of their house, sub-contracting the work out to inexperienced workers. There's no accountability. After all this I found an actual good company to do the same work and they found and treated the cesspool in about an hour. When we called they took hours to send someone over we wanted proof that the cesspool was in fact empty. The guy that came said the original guy would have to come and do that. Once again we waited for HOURS we called again, and the person that answered was absolutely rude and disgusting told me he wouldn't listen to me, lied about the fact that we didn't let the first guy in, then said he wouldn't send anyone else and to call the police. I called cesspools R Us to have my main & secondary pools pumped out. A service van came and told me it would be better to power jet and put in chem. So i went with that. He was only to power jet the main pool that he did. and he did put in the chem. I did not see him put the chem in #2 pool. As i was not there at the time . But he told me he did. When i returned the cover on #2 was back on. For some reason I check out my video security system. And saw that he did not add the chem.
