New location!! It's the same store as in North Hampton but they added a restaurant. They now have fondue and reclette. The layout is beautiful and they've expanded their selection of items. The service has always been wonderful, you can sample as many cheeses as you want. read more

Amazing selection of cheese from all over the world! They are so knowledgeable and know everything about the products they sell and the perfect accompaniments. We love the truffle cheese, Humbolt fog, very aged cheddar and many many more. Lots of crackers tools and condiments including chocolate. They also have a deli. Sadly, the owner Nancy passed away but happily the new owners worked with Nancy for years and have made great improvements while carrying on the excellent level of fine cheeses paired with excellent caring customer service. Tonight we purchased caper berries( try to find them elsewhere ) for our Martinis , Firehook Rosemary Sea Salt Crackers , a perfect delivery vessel for an absolutely spectacular double cream Brie. When traveling North or South on Route 1 in North Hampton, C'est Cheese is a definitive MUST STOP for cheese lovers and foodies alike ! Appalling sanitary practices during COVID19 pandemic. On Saturday September 5 2020 at approximately 3.10 PM my fiancée and I went into this store. One thing we noticed was that there was no sign indicating max store occupancy, as we had seen in other stores that day. What was most shocking and frankly disgusting, was seeing an older woman (we believe could be the owner) cutting a block of cheese on the counter without any face covering. She was holding the cheese about 10 inches away from her face, and talking and breathing all over the cheese. Again, I emphasize that she was not wearing any kind of face covering (face mask or face shield) or using any kind of barrier, such as plexiglass between the food and herself.. I asked her if she wasn't supposed to be wearing a face covering and she argued back that we could stand six feet away if we felt unsafe. I stated that she was breathing all over the food but she was adamant she was not doing anything wrong. At this point we walked out. There were other customers and two employees that we could see. I decided not to take a photo not to make a scene. If this person could not use a face covering, she certainly should not be allowed to be working in a food selling establishment. Extremely disappointed to see such a disregard for sanitation in the middle of a global pandemic, particularly from whom I believe is the owner, and blatant violation of state regulations in the time of a global pandemic. read more

My wife and I travel to this wonderful cheese shop to get the best cheese. We were saddened to see Nancy had passed away earlier this year. We loved talking to her. We've had a busy year and hadn't had a chance to get up and visit until now. The new owners are very nice and knowledgeable and worked with Nancy and I am very pleased to see our favorite cheese shop is in good hands. So I saw this place at the corner of my eye as I was heading to Maine from Massachusetts. I stopped there on the way back and I was blown away. The owner was sooo so nice and let me sample anything I wanted. Everything I sampled was delicious and fresh. I walked alway with more cheese than any normal human should ever eat, but I'll definitely be coming back. Yum yum. I got the 7 year old cheddar, maple bacon cheddar, and caramelized onion cheddar. This place is awesome. We stopped by on our road trip and it was a great decision. The staff was knowledgeable and gave us lots of samples including this carmelized Norwegian cheese which we had on chocolate crackers. It was amazing! And we would never have tried it on our own. When they heard we were having the cheese as a picnic they gave us knives, a plate and a bunch of paper towels. Super friendly and helpful. read more

This is not just another cheese shop. They stock the best cheeses from around the world, and as I understand nearly all being made from raw milk. I was driving up Route 1 with the top of the car down when I nearly passed the shop. I quickly pulled into the parking lot not expecting a great deal in such an isolated location. Was I wrong! I spent almost an hour speaking to the owner (a former chef) about all things culinary, not just cheese. But I digress. I ended up buying some raw milk Red Leicester, Colston Basset Stilton, a wonderful raw milk sheeps cheese from Wisconsin, two bottle of wine and several other items. All very well priced. For those of you that have heard of Zingamans Delicatessen in Ann Arbor you should know that this is my go to place fro cheese. C'est cheese products are every bit as good but at a fraction of the price. This place is a gem. (You should also know that I am super critical. This is a great cheese shop. Their selections of different cheeses from across the world is unbelievable. They also have a very good variety of wine, as well as crackers and other various gourmet foods. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the cheeses they stock and actually travels to the location where the cheeses are made and purchases them in person. They not only allow you to, but encourage you to try the various cheese samples they have in store. They have a 7 year old aged cheddar that is out of this world. That particular cheese is aged to the point where it actually has small crystals inside of it. It is truly delicious. Granted it's about $22 a pound but its well worth that kind of money and if you are a true cheese lover. When you are there you can sign up for their email list and they will send you an email about wine tasting and cheese pairing. The decor of the store is absolutely perfect. It truly is a local gem in the community. Whether you're a cheese lover on wine lover or not, you should go over there and support a good honest local business. They carry a high number of gourmet foods including chocolate, olives, croissant, different types of salami, and of course the best cheeses in the world. read more

Had cheese, pepperoni and nuts on a charcuterie board for New Years Eve, my friend had a wonderful experience shopping here. I had Martin Luther King day off this past Monday and thought let me check it out. I looked up their hours and drove there to learn they were closed. Take two, went today after work, bell on the door rang to let whomever was working know someone was in the store. I took my time checking all things out and no one ever greeted me. I was hoping to put together a gift for my Dad in Florida and also purchase a few things for my house as I love to cook. Needless to say, I'm home, writing this review and will be placing an order at Omaha Steaks for my Dad--his birthday being January 28th. Not sure if and when I will take the time and waste the gas to check out this store. Disappointed. I thought retailers stay open on holidays that others may have off and have the time to shop. read more

Walking into C'est Cheese at 3pm on 12/31/14 was like walking into a Parisian shop on a winter's eve in another era. Nancy, the proprietor, greeted us with warmth and excitement as she guided us through her world of cheeses for our private New Year's Eve celebration. She spent an hour with us as we sampled a vast array of cheese sensations, each having its own special flavor. We had a wonderful night, thanks to C'est Cheese. Went back a second time and waited, waited and waited as the owner spoke to someone about selling a nativity scene - finally after wanting spend money for about 20 minutes of waiting, we left as nobody helped us. She said "we will be right with you" but that time never came. We literally stood at the register and were ignored.
