The calamari was fresh and delicious. I had a lemonade or limonade I'm not to sure but it was very yummy. Service was great

Great portion sizes! Delicious ceviche! Great place to go after the casino! Stumbled upon it and was surprised to see all the awards the chef had received in the small roadside place.

I was craving some Jalea and happened to see this place on Yelp. What a nice little surprise. This place is the definition of a hole in the wall. The inside area itself I think only has 4 tables and if you're driving too fast you wouldn't even notice there was a restaurant here! I ordered the Jelea Mixta to go and a Causa Atun and I was shocked at the presentation of the Causa it looks like something out of a food magazine. A true work of art and it tasted even better than it looked. 10/10 I would make the drive again just for that. When I went inside to pick up my order I noticed their deserts in a fridge behind the counter and I saw a rare treat that I've only been able to try once in my life when my family visited from Peru; Lucuma! I had to get two. One for my girlfriend and one for my Mom! If you've never tried Lucuma I would highly suggest it especially in this mousse desert they have here. It's a rare fruit with a sweet unique taste like no other. My only complaint is the Jalea, typically the "shareable" size would be enough to feed a whole tribe but this size was barely enough for a family of 4 and it was mainly just fish, barely any shrimp, even less Yuca and the calamari was over cooked and rubbery. The rest of the food, desserts, sauces and accompaniments were so amazing that it made up for the small disappointment of the main dish. I'm still giving it a 5star and I'll give it another try cause they definitely impressed me with the Causa lol I'd definitely recommend small places like these over all these new "Fine Dining" , "Peruvian infusion" places that serve you child size portions for 3 times the price and lack flavor. This is the real deal !

Can't think as I'm too full. And no I didn't eat all of that food. This is a local spot that is close by my house. I've seen it many time but today was my day to try. I was craving ceviche and looked at several places. Hunger took over and boom I was there. The staff was friendly and able to understand what I wanted. As my Spanglish and Spanish aren't that good. I ordered um don't ask but it came with ceviche, jalea and seafood rice. Each dish is enough for 2-3 to share. Everything was tasty. The ceviche brought the tang and spice I like in my ceviche. I had a lil bit of everything. They ensured I had all of the sauces from mild to extreme heat. Love the look of the place and they have inside and outside seating. Small quaint place bringing big flavors.

YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! A friend of mine recommended the place to me and holy cow I was amazed. The food is so freshh I cannot stress it enough. Everything was to die for. The ceviche was on point, after all one of their ceviches won best ceviche in miami what else can you expect?? I had the anticuchos and let me tell you as a peruvian girl that hasnt had real anticuchos in a couple of years I felt home all over again. The owner Rosa was extremely attentive she refilled our rocoto ( which by the way was the right amount of spicy and so addicting) talked to us and recommended the restaurant's specialties. Do not let the area stop you from trying this place. 10/10!!!

We really had never tried Ceviche before, but the online menu really looked spectacular. Our waitress was Angie, and she was fantastic. Such a great personality, and she went out of her way to explain all the details before we ordered. It's actually disappointing that we are just passing through and may never go back, because I would seriously like to try every last item. Rather than bore you with the list of everything we ordered, I'll share what we considered to be the best of the best. CALAMARI... we both love calamari, and we have eaten this dish at many different places. This was the best ever. Perfect. CEVICHE DE SALMON EN CANASTA DE TOSTON... seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. While we did order both the ceviche camaron and the ceviche trio mixto, the hands-down winner, no questions asked, was the CEVICHE DIVINO. We finished with the TORTA DE CHOCOLATE and the smoothest, creamiest cup of coffee ever. My wife is a chocolate cake expert, and while I was finishing all the ceviche, she was having an out of body experience with the cake. I have to say that while we are borderline foodies and love cooking and eating, we probably are not the most adventurous. So glad today was different, and so thrilled with our decision to eat here. 10/10

I usually approach fusion restaurants with a healthy amount of skepticism. Too often, they feel…read morelike culinary speed dating, two cuisines forced together in the hope that chemistry magically appears. More often than not, one side dominates, the other disappears, and everybody loses. At Amazonia, a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Miami, that fear evaporates somewhere around the first bite. The opening argument came in the form of Gyoza Huancaína, pan-fried dumplings stuffed with lomo saltado and served with a vivid yellow huancaína sauce. It is the kind of dish that sounds gimmicky when described aloud. Then you eat it. The dumplings delivered deep savory notes from the beef, while the creamy sauce added brightness, spice, and richness. It felt less like a fusion experiment and more like a dish that had always existed. Four dumplings arrived on the plate. Four was not enough. My entrée, the Midori Risotto, continued the conversation between Japan and Peru. A strikingly green risotto made with kale and edamame arrived topped with grilled shrimp, microgreens, and dots of black garlic aioli. The rice was cooked properly, retaining a slight bite, while the edamame added texture and sweetness. The shrimp brought balance to the richness, and the black garlic aioli quietly tied everything together. It was a dish that managed to be both comforting and elegant. To drink, I ordered the Nikkei Lemonade, a blend of yuzu, Peruvian ginger, and huacatay. Bright, citrusy, and refreshing, it reset the palate after each bite and served as a reminder that the fusion extends beyond the food. My wife chose the braised short rib, a dish for diners who may not be ready to take the full leap into the restaurant's more adventurous offerings. Braised for 72 hours and served over mashed potatoes, it collapsed under the gentlest pressure from a fork. The beef was intensely flavorful, and the braising liquid was rich enough to make you consider asking for a spoon. Dessert brought one final East-meets-West moment. The Flan Nikkei paired a silky custard with miso caramel, whipped cream, and fresh strawberry. The miso added just enough savory depth to keep the sweetness from becoming predictable. It was a thoughtful ending to a meal built on thoughtful combinations. Amazonia succeeds because it understands something many fusion restaurants do not. Combining cuisines is not about piling flavors on top of one another. It is about finding where they naturally intersect. Here, Japanese precision and Peruvian boldness meet in the middle, and both emerge better for it. Fusion rarely wins me over, but Amazonia makes a compelling case for keeping an open mind.
