Overall they had the best rates and don't charge extra for the truck or the travel fee (which is actually a fee for the time it takes a moving company to get to your place and then back home after the job is done). They were a bit slow to respond at first, but were very helpful in helping us prep for the move to reduce cost (making sure all is packed, having boxes of similar size stacked together because that's how they move them - by size and not by room designation). And they hustled. The moved ended up taking longer than we anticipated (lots of stairs!) but they ended up charging us less than we thought - they stopped by for lunch on the way to the new place and didn't charge us for that time. I don't believe they're insured, so not sure if I would recommend them if you have a lot of stuff. But they took good care of our IKEA stuff and I will use them again next time we move.

They moved me into a house in Valparaiso. I had some large pieces of furniture too. They took the beds apart and put them back together when we got to the house. They even brought wardrobes. These were large boxes that had a rack so I could put my clothes on hangers in and they moved those too. Each held 2 and a half feet of clothes. I used 4. They were very reasonable in price and fast too. Also bonded and insured. I would use this place again and encourage anyone who is moving to hire this company.

They handled everything with care. They didn't put down carpet covers, however, and while that didn't matter so much for our circumstances, I imagine others might want to make sure that they do this. All of our items arrived 1500 miles away without incident and the people they contracted with on the delivery end were great as well. Ferree stayed true to their guaranteed estimate & we had no issues with payment. No complaints & would recommend for long distance moves from the Chicago or surrounding area.

They stayed in touch, but their was some glitches to the move date, we had to change it twice, no fault of Ferree. Seemed like everything went well, until a few months later when I got to the other state and started unpacking and checking stuff, that's when the fear became a reality. I was missing a lot of boxes, it would appear anywhere up to 90 boxes are missing and my floor 4-5' floor lamp never made it and a number of things were broke or damaged. Said they would check to see if other two people have my stuff but haven't heard back from. It's hard to say what the insurance is going to do---I will post a comment later.
