Just got a highlight, color, and cut from Morgan; let me just say, she NAILED it! This was my second visit with Morgan, first visit at this particular salon. I absolutely LOVED the vibe + retro decor! This is about a 1.5 hour drive for me, but I will most certainly be continually going here. It's kind of a rarity to find a stylist that you 100% trust. When I found Mackenzie at Cha Cha's, it was like all of my hair prayers were answered. I'm very very particular about my hair and when I moved here a year ago I couldn't find a salon that looked like they could handle the journey that I was about to go on with my hair. Cha Cha's is it though! I'll be sticking with them (and her) until the end. Mackenzie has taken my hair from brown to bright purple to violet-brown and now I have the most beautiful brown to blonde balayage. She listens to exactly what I want and makes sure that she does it without compromising the health of my hair. She really knows her stuff and she's also one of the nicest people I know! I'm new to Lexington and used Yelp to find somewhere to cut my hair near work. Maggie Mayhem at Cha Cha's did a fantastic job on my hair. I'm probably a difficult client to service because I hardly know what I want aside from "less hair" and "not to look like Mackelmore". But she was able to make an recommendation and made sure I left happy with my new do. Hands down, my favorite salon. Moved to Lexington a year ago and wanted to find a hairdresser who had some serious skills with fun haircuts and colors. I found that and more with Paige Spurlock at Cha Cha's. I told her what I was wanting and let her do her thing and I've been beyond happy ever since. She just KNOWS and I love that. Rarely, have I ever trusted anyone with my hair they way I trust Paige. The atmosphere is SO welcoming and everyone that works there is so incredibly friendly and so incredibly talented. I recently moved to town and was looking for a new salon. I went to Cha Cha's and I was not disappointed! First of all, I scheduled my appointment and got in within 2 weeks at a time that was extremely convenient for me. This is huge when you work a full time job with typical business hours! The salon is so cozy and relaxing with a very industrial meets Scandinavian chic feel. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming as soon as I waked in. Maggie cut my hair and she was AMAZING! I usually have anxiety about going to a new stylist but she was so attentive and fun to work with. I showed her some pictures and told her what I was thinking and for the first time in my life I actually left the salon looking like my Pinterest photo that I entered with. Not only did Maggie give a great cut, but she also gave me pointers along the way about how to repeat the style at home. I've always been really bad about following up in the recommended 8 weeks, but with such an awesome salon and stylist, I can't wait to follow up for my next cut! I was also looking for new shampoo and products and I was so excited to learn that two of the primary brands available in the salon are cruelty and eco friendly companies, which is so important to me and a major bonus! I am utterly in love with this amazing saloon. The owners are by far are some of nicest folks I have met in Lexington and this says a lot because everyone here in this beautiful state are far nicer to a stranger then any where I have traveled. They are professional. This place is clean. The customer experience is exceptional her and I suggest this place everytime some one adores my pompadour. My wife even suggests it when she is complimented on how put together her hair is. The Roosters Nest a barber shop next door is an experience of what a 50s barbershop should be from the decor to the amazing staff that will shave and trim your beard to perfection. Now a I don't have a beard but my shiney black pomp is my trade mark and when I perform and sing onstage the way the light hits the perfect coifed curve and the way they compliment me makes a mans confidence really shine as well as make my stage presence beam. So if in Lexington I highly suggest you hit this place up. Wether you want Betty bangs to that Elvis hair to that beautiful modern color and cut the professional work do and even that amazing blow out this is the place to go. I just moved here from California near the Hollywood area, and have been to some of the most popular saloons and with some of the most famous hair stylest, and I can honestly say Cha Cha's & The Rooster's Nest, offers the same Quality, Class, Style, and enjoyable experience, as the Best places I have been to. I am probaly the most pickest customers about how there hair is to look and be cut and Jason listens with pationts and interest and cuts it to my demands and requst no problem eveytime and nails it 9 times out of 10. So glad I found this place, go there and get your hair done by the beautiful people that work there, they will make you beautiful, you'll love it. read more

I am a very anxious person when it comes to hair cuts. I've had a few bad experiences where my hair cuts in the past have been terrible. And I've had to cut all my hair off to get it even. I typically keep my hair very long so cutting all my hair off was very hard for me. Twice. I explained this to my stylist emilee and she was very nice about my anxieties and worked with me and did an amazing job on my cut and color. I mean I am legit that person who knows how to check my own hair cut to make sure it's even and asked to see how much she was cutting off for my trim and she was 100% less is more and was very patient with me. I was going from shoulder length hair to a pixie, and the first cut didn't turn out quite like I had hoped so she did it again a week later (free of charge). I now absolutely love it. I'm soo disappointed... I went in for highlights or color to my hair. My original stylist moved to California. We decided after long talk to try baliage. My hair looks orange/ red... and I did explain that this can happen if not experienced w color. So I left not pleased but felt it was partially my fault. I called today and she said because two weeks out , they wouldn't redo without charging. I was out for spring break one week... ughhh frustrating...does it seem fair to pay full price again? I can't say enough good things about Cha Cha's. I may be biased because Jason and Charlene have been doing my hair since 2001, when they operated a salon in Florence, Alabama. Our paths crossed again after they relocated to Lexington and I became a student at UK. I now live in Atlanta and I kid you not, I have driven the 5.5 hours to Lexington just for one of them to cut and color my hair (well, okay, maybe that and some brunch at Doodle's and a box of Magee's Doughnuts, but mostly for a haircut). They are just that good at what they do. Not only are they and their entire staff extremely talented professionals, but they are genuinely good people who care about their clients.
