They are really nice and are responsive but the quality of the product looks cheap. It looks like something I could have bought from Home Depot. In addition, the measurements were off and I had a gap on each side. They put a strip to cover the gap but it doesn't even match and looks tacky and doesn't look custom. There way overpriced for the quality of product you get. I wouldn't recommend them.

We bought a new house and decided to hire all the work to local businesses and not big business. Jeff is awesome!! He was actually a referral from my realtor. I would not have been able to text the owner with random questions at the factory closet company around the corner. With Jeff you can! I genuinely felt like he cared and takes a lot of pride. Jeff has so much energy you wonder what kind of vitamins he's taking...and you want some. He is hopping around like a rabbit measuring things and spouting off madness about closets and the next thing you know, he has taken all your pencil sketches and turned them into something functional, offering advice along the way for what works and what is a horrible idea that only seemed good because you saw it on Pinterest (I know you've been there). The design studio was helpful too, just to touch and see a few things and get ideas. Nothing fancy but his price is a hellofalot better than those big-corporate guys with the fancy design centers, too. That said, post install our experience went way down. We had quality issues with the install and took several trips and several weeks to address. And yet again another drawer isn't working properly. Another call to them. More wasted time. I really wanted to keep having the great experience we started with. But left with a bittersweet taste. The bottom line is this is the age old lesson: If you want to pay less, you will get less quality so be prepared to fight for what you asked for and eventually you will get it but it will be a pain in the ass. I'd hire him again but manage the process much different.

I would not recommend this company. They were a subcontractor to put in kitchen cabinets into my custom guest house. Not only did they design it incorrectly, microwave install we found that the cabinet door not opening, which then they had to redo the cabinet. They also blew out the back of the cabinets when they put in the handles for the doors, found out later they used a dull bit. After complaint they came back to add countersunk washer, but still did not completely fix the damage. In addition, but they blame the plumber, they drilled a hole into my kitchen water line, by drilling at an angle to bypass the steel plate in wall which caused more issues and delays in completing my project. They did not notify the builder or me that this happened, so water sprayed overnight. . Don't let them wear earbuds or listen to music while they are working. As I was cleaning after the project completed, I noticed the interior walls of the cabinet and where the holes are to size your shelves were not aligned on the sides. Very tacky. There are extra and missing holes. The product itself is extremely poor quality and the strips they use don't match in paint color. Very disappointed in quality of product, in install, and unprofessional behavior of one of the individuals with this company. This company is used by builders, including the builder we chose, so if you are working with other companies to build a guest house, a tiny home, or kitchen or closet remodel confirm in advance who your cabinet folks are ahead of time and do your research. I was referred to one company to pick out my cabinet style and colors, but then the actual company was someone different. I did not catch that. Example picture below before they added the countersunk washers. I only have a few cabinets and three drawers in the small guest home.

    The door we paid for

The actual piece of work is ok; but it's the customer service I'm unhappy with. At the end of August we asked for a barn door for our master bathroom. We were quoted 3 weeks; we kept having to follow up; it was every excuse. The doors on back order; then there is an issue with the hanging equipment; but the company never made first contact. We would think " where ours door???" Reach out and then possibly the next day get a reply. 7 weeks after initially paying for the first half of the door; they finally deliver it. The door is ok; not exactly what I wanted but they never send a sketch or anything. They just take what you asked for and run with it. But that leaves a lot up to interpretation. When delivered there are no handles inside the door to open or close it; I asked to have some so it could close and open without fingerprints on the door. The company said they would order it. The other half of the door was paid for at this time. Well here we are 7 weeks after delivery and still no door handles. It's like they got their money and they don't care. We have even texted multiple times and called and heard nothing. Make things worse we paid almost 2K for this door. Pretty sure we would have been better going to Home Depot and hiring a handyman to install it.

Wonderful couple running a genuine time tested family business. From the initial email to the consultation to the final result, Accent was superb. I absolutely love our new closet and am extremely grateful we chose this company to complete our dream closet. We had 4 quotes. Nobody could come close to what Accent offered in terms of quality, creativity, and cost.

Extremely competitive prices and great customer service! Accent on Closets was one of the closet companies that came out to do an estimate on our master closet. Jeff and Maddie were extremely professional. Jeff was able to identify things that the other companies were not. We knew right away we were going to go with them and we couldn't be happier with our closet! Jeff and Maddie are wonderful!

We utilized their services for some built ins in our living room and to organize our pantry! Our neighbors recommended Jeff and his staff for our projects and we couldn't be happier. They did not disappoint and we are extremely satisfied with the finished product. Whether you're looking for closet organization, boot bench and lockers or custom shelving for a home library these folks know exactly how to get the job done. We are so excited to use all of our new pieces and it truly transformed the look of our home. Thank you so much!

From the very first visit, Paul set himself apart from other contractors I had met with -- he arrived fully prepared with a variety of material and color samples, thoroughly explained the refacing process, covered warranty details, took measurements, and even designed the layout, all in a single appointment. There was never any pressure to sign, which I genuinely appreciated. When questions came up after his visit, Paul responded quickly with a phone call followed by a detailed email complete with photos and examples. That level of follow-through is hard to find. Once I signed the contract, Jaime came by to confirm measurements and listen to my ideas, translating them into a well-defined project plan. The results speak for themselves -- everything was completed ahead of schedule. The cabinet refacing surpassed my expectations, and the material we selected not only looks stunning but feels great and is effortless to clean. The new coffee bar in the living room has become an absolute showstopper, and the added cabinets in the laundry area are both practical and well-crafted. Miguel, who handled the final installation, was a true professional -- communicative, courteous, and a pleasure to have in our home. The team wrapped up with a thorough walk-through and left everything immaculate. I've already recommended JV Cabinets to friends and family, and I would do so again without hesitation.

I had several contractors stop by to give me estimates - a lot of contractors were very sloppy in their estimates, telling me they would give me a bathroom in five days or asking me to buy all the supplies, etc (as if I would know what to get), or telling me they can do it for $5k without permits. Anywho, Ivan from Vitex stopped by and asked a lot of questions on what kind of vision I had, and when I did not know an answer, he made suggestions. For example, he suggested I add a shower light - that's something I did not think of at all - and also pointed out things that were required for code upgrades, etc. The entire process was very transparent. After I received the quote, I met Ivan at the warehouse in Rancho Cordova and he helped me pick out the tile for the wall and the floor. Again, I'm clueless and he made the right recommendations that made sense. The crew arrived on day one and these guys work hard and other than their lunch breaks, they don't stop until the end of the workday. The workers were very pleasant and diligent. Very friendly. I really enjoyed having them here and they did excellent work. Once they were done, I proceeded to hire Vitex for bathroom #2, which involved removing a jet tub to build a walk in shower. This time I worked with Arthur, who was also excellent and the same worker crew. They did an excellent job with that bathroom, as well. What also helped was being in touch with Victor, the owner, via group text to keep me up to date on the project, etc. Also, for anyone doing their due diligence, Vitex is fully licensed and the work they did passed the City of Sacramento's inspection, so these guys are legit. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking for bathroom remodeling and will use them for future tile work. Thank you, Vitex! -Josh

I love my kitchen and I've also approached him about a future project. I had a basic 1970's era condo kitchen-outdated but can't really change the footprint. I tried to revive it with refacing. It still didn't function well, but I worked around it. A leak in the wall behind the cabinets, forced an unexpected remodel. I received estimates from several contractors using stock or RTA "IKEA" kitchen cabinets. The cabinets I saw in these stores did not seem as sturdy as my existing cabinets. I couldn't customize and would have similar unusable spaces where the pre-made cabinets are put together. The contractors and pre-made cabinet stores told me custom cabinets would cost twice as much as their estimates. While looking for design ideas, I saw multiple Houzz and Reddit posts stating a local carpenter could give me custom cabinets at a much better price. I am so glad I paid attention to the posts! That's how I found Sacramento Millworks. His price for my project was comparable to the quotes I received for stock cabinets. Raymond is a carpenter and a designer. Because of his experience, he handled everything. He walked me through everything, including a trip to the granite and tile shops. I just picked colors. He was very patient. Most of contractors I've worked with recently send employees to do the work. They just pop in here and there until it's time for payment. Raymond was on site working with one helper everyday. This review is based on more than a year of working with Precision Cabinetry & Design (now called…read morePCD Studios) and investing well into six figures on cabinetry for our home. I genuinely wanted this relationship to succeed, which is why it's so disappointing to write this review. If you're considering PCD Studios, get multiple bids before signing anything and i strongly suggest you go elsewhere. We ultimately hired another designer using the exact same Crystal Cabinets manufacturer. Their design was significantly better, their communication was outstanding, and the total cost was nearly half of what PCD proposed. For the premium they charge, I expected thoughtful, customized design. Instead, we received fairly basic 2D layouts that didn't justify the price. The service was even more disappointing. It often felt like every question or small change became another opportunity to increase costs. One example: our refrigerator manufacturer changed a cabinet panel dimension by just 1/16 of an inch. We were initially told we needed to buy a new panel. Only after we insisted they contact Crystal Cabinets did they learn the change was "no problem" and could be made without replacing the panel or charging more. Communication was another major issue. Michie Schmitz was generally pleasant to work with, but did little to rectify our issues. Our primary contact, Pippa Clarke, was repeatedly dismissive and difficult to work with. We requested multiple times that she no longer manage our project, but those requests were ignored. When issues were escalated to Renee Jordan, they rarely resulted in meaningful solutions. The end of the project was the most frustrating. After telling us we could apply our remaining deposit toward cabinet hardware, PCD had us spend time selecting and submitting our hardware. They then reversed course and said we would only receive the remaining credit if we signed a release agreement. The final accounting even included attorney fees for preparing the release they wanted us to sign. We declined because we were not willing to give up our rights simply to recover part of our own money. The storage issue was handled similarly. Our construction schedule changed, and instead of working with us, the discussions centered on storage fees and additional charges. The storage company itself contacted us asking why PCD was charging us so much, as the amount being passed through was substantially higher than what the storage company was charging. (PCD doubled the fee!). Ultimately, I walked away from thousands of dollars they held as ransom because it was more important to retain my ability to honestly share this experience than to sign a release agreement with this company. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after this experience I feel future customers deserve to know there are other Crystal Cabinets dealers who provide significantly better design, far better customer service, and dramatically better value. We ultimately worked with Silicon Valley Dream Homes, received a much better design, and saved tens of thousands of dollars. I only wish we had found them first. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere.

I walked into the store, there were 3 workers and 2 customers. I watched their interaction. It was very positive, formal, professional, nice, and friendly. I was respectfully waiting my turn. I looked around for the store for my item so that I could help them be more efficient and save time. After 5 minutes, I saw that all 3 workers are free. I was hoping one of them would help me, but I give them the benefit of the doubt that they might be busy. So I waited patiently. After 2 minutes, 2 of the female workers stared me down and walked away to their back corners and went to their computers as if I'm a peasant. Not sure what I did to deserve that. That leaves me with 1 guy left. I stand in proximity waiting for help. After another 3 minutes of standing in front of his desk, I respectfully ask for help. He then gives me attitude, and treated me very differently from other customers that I just watched when I entered the store. That was rude and fkd up. Wtf did I do to deserve that? I got profiled. Is it because I'm not white? Is it because I'm young, and people think that I'm broke? Is it because my clothing is dirty from working on a project? I left the store. It was frustrating and demoralizing. I didn't deserve to be treated like that. I'm not coming back, and unless you're stereotyped as easy money, I don't think you deserve that treatment!
