We are converting a mini bedroom into a walk-in closet. I looked into all of the solutions, including high-end custom and DIY kits from the big box stores. Rich is really a 5 STAR contractor and as advertised, this guy goes the extra mile and I mean it. In April 2015 I had cabinets installed in my house, he completed 9 separate spaces over the course of two days. Cleaned up after himself and was super thorough. After the install I really enjoyed everything but just recently realized that in the pantry some of the shelving was possibly too short and therefore was carrying the weight of cans etc. I contacted Rich (mind you, over 18 months later) and he immediately responded eager for me to be happy and to address the issue. Not only did he go down to Home Depot trying to find some longer clips but he send me some that night via UPS so I could replace the old ones. Five Star Closets really is a 5+ star company. From beginning to end the owner Rich handled the transaction/build with the utmost amount of professionalism. I found him on Craigslist and had him come out for a free consultation. Prior to finding 5 Star Closets I had gotten another consult from another company and after doing an apples to apples price comparison between the two Rich definitely had them beat. He provided a design that he felt would suit our needs and within our budget by the following day. No upselling like the other company did to benefit himself or anything crazy like that. The quality and craftsmanship of his work was excellent. He's not one of those guys that gets a pre-built organizer from ikea and tries to pawn it off as his own. Every piece from the shelving to the bars he cuts specifically for your closet setup. The bigger shelf parts he cut at his shop but for the most part he cut right outside my home in his trailer. My wife absolutely loves our closet now and have so much more room within the same amount of space. It's ridiculous how strong and sturdy everything that he installed is. We no longer have to worry about even weight distribution anymore and the wire racks popping out of the walls. As funny as it may sound I never would've thought I'd find myself spending as much time in my closet as I do now. So if you want to get your closet done but think that it isn't affordable, think again and give Rich at 5 Star Closets a call. My Elk Grove property is the first house I bought on my own. I owned condos and properties with other partners for investment purposes but this was my first true home sweet home. One of the reasons I bought this house was that the master bedroom MY BEDROOM all MINE MINE MINE (haha evil laugh) came with a HUGE I mean HUGE walk-in closet.
