I've tried numerous cafes/coffee shops and bakeries in the area...and paying $7-$9 for a cup of "iced milk" or poor quality drink made with artificial powder and syrup is not it. Until I found Cha Na Tea House on yelp... Cha Na Tea House is a Thai-owned family business that opened in December 2025. During a staycation, we ended up visiting Cha Na three days in a row which says a lot. You can order ahead online or in-person on the kiosk. Cha Na Tea House after a heavy meal was not the move. Let's start with the positives: service was perfectly fine--nothing standout, but no complaints either. Parking is easy, which is always a plus in Napa, and the ambiance is actually really nice. It's a comfortable spot to hang out. Now, the boba. This was my second visit, and honestly, giving it another chance after the first experience was generous. I asked for my drink to be sweet both times, and somehow it still came out bland--like drinking water with a few grains of sugar floating around. No depth, no richness, just... nothing. For something that's supposed to be a treat, it felt completely watered down. My siblings agree as well. And for the price? That's where it really misses. A solid new boba spot has opened in Napa. Cha Na Tea House offers a great selection of drinks with customizable sugar and ice levels, plus a variety of topping options. My party tried the Matcha Strawberry Latte and Grape Green Tea, and both were delicious and well balanced. My family went for the Taro Smoothie, which featured real taro and a creamy texture, and the Thai Tea Coffee, a unique blend that combines both flavors. The space is bright and welcoming, making it a nice spot to hang out or grab a refreshingly crafted drink on the go. Napa definitely needed a place like this. I'll be back to try more! read more

We got the jasmine milk tea with brown sugar boba, and black milk tea with barley boba, both have good tea flavor and the boba has that qq bouncy texture. I personally prefer the brown sugar boba with 25% sugar level, but barley boba is a healthy alternative. The staff is friendly and drinks come out fast. I've had a few drinks here and enjoy the blended coconut mango pomelo sago and biscoff coffee. The crème brûlée with boba was pretty good too. I also had the hojicha with strawberry and barley boba. It was okay. The owners were sweet and had smiles on their faces. The ingredients are fresh and great quality and the drinks are specialized and made with brewed tea and coffee. I was very excited to come try Cha Na Tea House, since Napa is definitely lacking in good tea/boba options! I came on a Wednesday around 3pm to pick-up an online order of 7 drinks. There was only one person working from what we could see, and she greeted us warmly before letting us know she was still working on our drinks. The inside is nice and spacious, brightly lit, and clean - definitely would be a nice spot to come and hangout and chat! I got the Signature Black Tea - the tea itself was decent, you can still taste a nice floral black tea flavor despite being not as strong as I prefer. I was really surprised Cha Na Tea House has barley boba, which I find very few places carry - these were mostly good with a satisfying pop and creamy, substantial texture of barley inside, but toward the end of my drink I noticed some of the pearls tasted a little off inside - almost penicillin-y, which was disappointing. Hopefully it was just a bad batch? Great new legit tea spot in Napa! We tried the strawberry matcha w/ boba at 50% sweetness level and the grapefruit green tea 30% sweetness. Both delicious and use real strawberry fruit puree. Boba was soft and sweet, taste freshly made. Ambiance is simplistic and clean. Great place to study or meet up with a friend. Not too much seating for a big crowd. More of an intimate meetup place.
