I'd had this place on my list to try for quite some time. I finally got the chance to stop by for brunch. There were so many things on the menu that looked appealing, but the Turk-ish eggs really stood out to me. ZERO regrets about that choice. The ONLY downside about my meal was when I ran out of sourdough bread to sop up the rest of the goods! They have a good amount of options to choose from, from salads to French toast but not an overwhelming menu. They also had some beers and wine available. I went with one of their fry options because I had seen the table over order it and it looked yummy. Pretty tasty but wish I had asked for the sauce on the side. So I tell people not to give only good reviews or only bad reviews, rather give them all. So in terms of the food... bomb! a little over priced in my opinion especially when I thought I would have quinoa in it like the pictures on yelp. I ordered the Caribbean Jerk Salad. That Jerk had amazing spice level (high for my liking) and the ratio and flavor profile was on point. I encountered one hiccup that I must make note of as it has been bothering me. A reco to others is be watchful because if you just accept the prompts it gives on the kiosk for checkout pressing ok it defaults at a tip. My grand total was 17 which would had been closer to fair for me but ended up paying closer to 21-22. I immediately told the cashier that I didnt intend to tip. After all I just ordered at this point. No services were really received. Izzy immediately told me he would reimburse me. I was pleased and expressed gratefulness and asked him did he need me to be here for the reimbursement or may I go take a seat. He said I was good to go sit. Well come to find out.. I've been a few times and I really enjoy this restaurant and the concept. It's a fast casual, counter service restaurant. They have a wide menu featuring salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, loaded fries and interesting sides, and bao buns. A lot of the protein options are reworked for different entrees depending on what you order. It makes it so you have a lot of variety, and smart to reuse ingredients in unique ways. The menu is quite varied from bahn mi to pulled pork to Jamaican Jerk chicken bao buns. They take a global approach to their menu but it doesn't feel like Cheesecake Factory where they are doing too much. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The location is a bit funky in a shopping plaza. I think this would do well downtown, but thankfully, there's easy parking. Mexican etc. I chose vegan option out of curiosity which was the grilled tofu with yellow turmeric basmati rice, quinoa, cucumber and saute onions. I enjoyed the flavors with the exception of the quinoa . It seemed like it was too sour, made me think maybe it wasn't fresh. When I brought it their attention lady assured me they make it fresh and quinoa is with lime juice. It's fine. I will make sure to try other options next visit. This is my first time visiting since the renovation, and it feels like an entirely different vibe. The dining space is much more catered toward a sit, eat, and relax crowd than it used to be, especially without the ordering bar. The tables are set with water glasses, utensils, and conversation starter cards. It gives a first date spot feel. The menu feels smaller, but there's also messaging on it that says they're making changes. My favorite bowl was still on the menu, so I ordered that. Full disclosure, I don't like raw tomatoes, so I asked for them on hold, that's why there is none in the picture. It was every bit as good as I remember it. The tables where I was seated are a little snug for someone of my curviness, and if I had gone at a time when anyone else was sitting next to me, we would have had an awkward first encounter, so that might have been something for the waitress to consider when seating me in an otherwise empty restaurant. It was also around the shift change, and I think she left because I never saw her after she checked on me once getting my meal, and someone else closed my tab. But she did check on me, which I appreciate. Last minute plans turned out to be worth it! My husband and I met our family here Saturday afternoon and we weren't disappointed! The menu was multicultural magic! They have tacos, Bao buns, loaded French fries and they even have a kids menu OK loosen the straps baby more!! I ordered the spicy jerk chicken tacos with blue corn tortillas...GLUTEN FREE!!!! This review is based solely on a take out order my friend picked up for us. So I can't say much about the place, decor etc. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Bowl. The chicken itself was barely edible. That was not jerk seasoning. It was over salted and either over cooked or over marinated or both. The texture was terrible, dry, it was like flakey chicken! I don't think chicken does "flakey" without someone or something really messing it up. Now, the rest of the bowl was lovely. And I would have no problem eating just the rice bowl part without the chicken for about $4-$5 bucks less. Anyway, it looked like a good idea. And maybe I caught them on a bad day. I had some really high hopes for this place. I was hoping that the most recent reviews were just a blip since most of them seem to be from accounts with very little reviews. However, I have to rate this as just OK. One thing I will say is my review might be different if we did dine in. We ordered 4 dishes: Sweet Chili Brussel sprouts, Lemongrass Waffle Fries, Jerk Chicken Bowl, and Pork Belly Baos. Sweet Chili Brussel sprouts: Just OK. I feel like these were just roasted and then tossed in sweet chili sauce from the bottle you get at the grocery store. Lemongrass Pork Waffle Fries: My favorite flavor wise. Such a large portion too. My only downside is that since we got these for takeout they were not crispy because all the toppings on top of it made it soggy. It was sad to be honest. This could have maybe been different if we got to eat it immediately. Jerk Chicken Bowl: There was a sour flavor I wasn't a fan of in this and I love jerk chicken. There was something odd in this. It was also cold when we ate this. Pork Belly Baos: The protein was that pork belly texture. It was more tough. The baos were cold. I think the food being cold was a big factor to our enjoyment of this. We didn't have access to a way to reheat the food though. We drove perhaps maybe 10-15 mins from the restaurant. We were sitting in the restaurant the whole time waiting after we placed the order. The food sat in a bag for at least 10 mins, while we just sat there. They only just had to hand it to us, but no one gave it to us or bothered to ask until the person who took our order saw that we were just sitting there and said, "I thought they gave you your order already." There's obviously some miscommunication going on. The restaurant was not that busy too. It was maybe like 4pm so not prime meal time. It seems like the staff is under some training still hence the mishap. When we were sitting there, someone came in to pay for an order in cash and it seems like the staff didn't know what to do. One staff member was teaching another how to count change. I really don't know what's going on. They also just don't seem clear on responsibilities for being wait staff. One staff member I witnessed told 2 people to wait to be seated because I think they expected someone else to sit them, but then they didn't so then sat them. The restaurant itself seems nice, but yeah they have some kinks to work out. Hopefully, it gets better! I'd try dining in again if in the area, but perhaps just one dish to see what it's like first before committing to four. read more

Everything on the menu sounded so good but my daughter decided to go with the Turk-ish eggs which were delicious, feta-y and light. My wife ordered the poke bowl, and the tuna was tough & slimy with not much flavor. The draft beers we ordered were very good. The staff was very polite, and I noticed one staff member ask the table next to us how their meal was. The same staff member cleared our table, but did not ask how our meal was, even though my wife barely touched her meal and left all the tuna in the bowl. When in Napa, must try Heritage Eats. It's inside a big shopping center. We tried their Thai pork bowl which had so many delicious and fresh ingredients. It was customizable too. They gave me sauce/dressing on the side but I didn't need it because it already had ton of delicious flavor without being salty. We also tried their banh mi sandwich on a toasty bread. This was delicious too but little too sweet for our liking. We both enjoyed the Thai pork bowl much more. The Brussels sprouts were good as well. Employees were very helpful. Nice little spot that I found to grab a lil sandwich .... well that's what I thought. I initially was thinking just a small sandwich would do, then I seen they had shrimp tacos served on blue corn tortillas. I was done at that point. So I offered the shrimp tacos, plus they had a steak sandwich with sweet potatoe fries which is what I originally wanted. They have an assortment of lemonades and tea which I ordered a pomegranate lemonade and one of their local pilsner ales. Overall the sandwich was very flavorful. Definitely filling. But I think I loved their shrimp tacos more. The place itself has a laid back vibe and is one of those places that I'd definitely come back to! First time at Heritage Eats before doing wine tasting. Service set up reminded me of Chipotle. You can order from one of the set menu items or make your own bowl, wrap, etc. Ambiance: the music played a little too loud inside. Chicken Tikka Masala Wrap (3/5): The chicken was all white meat which was quite tough. Since the chicken bites were big, it was hard to eat it wrap form. Not even halfway into my wrap, a lot of watery sauce started leaking out from the bottom and onto the table. I don't think I would get this again next time I'm here due to the mess and the toughness of the meat. Cowboy Dirty Fries (3.5/5): The flavors were solid and the fries were seasoned well! Some of the fries were stuck together so it could have been crispier. A little too much sauce for my preference so I would ask for light sauce next time. The fries itself are quite heavy so it was quite filling. Vietnamese Coffee (5/5): Very similar to ones I get at Vietnamese restaurants. Super delicious and very balanced from the chicory and sweetened condensed milk. It was really inspiring to see so many different cultural foods in one establishment. However, the chicken tikka masala was watered down in flavor and was unlike tikka masala I've had before. Next time I would love to try some of the other options on the menu. Trip #3! Started out with the pork belly with the bao buns option and this is our favorite dish here. Next tried the falafel bowl which I paired with their creamy cilantro dressing. The menu is well-designed and extensive, with helpful symbols for dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian/vegan. My boyfriend got the banh mi sandwich and held the creamy cilantro sauce. I got the Jamaican chicken bao bun and the creamy tomato soup, which only appears on the menu as a combo with a grilled cheese, but can be ordered as a standalone side for $8.75. We also split the O.G. Dirty fries, but held the cheese and cilantro. My boyfriend thought the banh mi was good and a unique take on the Vietnamese classic. We both loved the O.G. Dirty fries and thought the carnitas, especially covered in Boom Sauce, was perfect. I wasn't a big fan of the Jamaican chicken bao bun: the DIY aspect meant it was harder to assemble and eat, and the elements, while tasty on their own, didn't end up melding together in a satisfying way like with a traditional pork belly bao bun. I'd recommend the jerk chicken in another form (like the bowl) instead. The creamy tomato soup was another winner and is highly recommended. Wow, wow wow! This was a happy surprise! I came to a Heritage East looking for something tasty and found a Whole Plaza Ala of wonderful items to choose from. There was so much, I really could have been here five times in one week and still have wanted to try something new. Definitely with While, and if you were in the Napa area, you should look at this place up! FOOD: basically, this is a sandwich, place to beat all sandwich places. It's not a deli, so don't expect that kind of sandwich, but rather they feature different types of sandwiches from all around the world. Everything from upon me, to a bow, to a rap they have it all. It was great to have that kind of variety plus the different types of meats they had all looked tempting. The pork belly in particular I have to say, was really delicious. like I said, I definitely could've come here more than once, and been very, very happy SERVICE: I love places that have good service! And this place definitely meet secretariat. The person who helped me was very familiar with the menu and made solid recommendations. They gave me an overview of what I was looking at which made it easier for me to choose since like I said, there were many things I wanted to try. We loved the fresh and distinctive food offerings and the efficient assembly line way they were made. Returned today for the first time in 8 months. The place was remodeled. Assembly line gone and replaced with well-meaning but inevitably slower table service. Lost ability to customize the construction of food (more peppers, less cabbage, whatever). Many new items on the menu (burger! Really? There aren't a zillion places to get a burger already? Revel in your distinctive menu instead of going wider!) No option to choose bread--items served as bowls (except Bahn mi). Table service is too much fuss for the old menu and we were not interested in the new menu. The old items weren't as good as we remembered them and we spent 20 minutes longer on dinner than we planned or wanted to spend. read more

My dad and I went back to Heritage Eats today to give it another try. The ordering was different this time because we were able to order upon entering and didn't have to wait for a waitperson. The man at the register was very friendly and helpful. My dad got the Coastal Shrimp Salad Bowl and I got the Lemongrass Pork Bao Buns. We both really enjoyed the food and all the flavors in it. It was fun to assemble my own bao buns. There were other things on the menu that I would love to try too! The service after we sat ourselves was quick and friendly. We sat outside this time and it was very pleasant. I like the new interior setup with the ordering upon entering as well. This was completely different experience for us today.
