I've been at least a couple of times in the last few weeks and ordered take out as well and feel comfortable recommending this place. This place is always clean. The service style is more of a cafe style where you order upfront, and when your food is ready, you go grab it, and then when you're done, you bus your own spot. The front staff are very nice and polite folk. They're very helpful too when ordering and I'd be comfortable with their recommendations. The place is clean. The food doesn't take too long to appear. Everything tastes good. I've tried their thalis, puri, roti, paratha, dosa and cauliflower Manchurin. The food is really good and tastes fresh. Each item has a distinct taste as opposed to every tasting like 'curry masala'. Overall, a good place and the price and portions are right. read more

Food is alright. But this place needs some cleaning. The payment iPad screen is so dirty to touch. When they are asking customer to touch something , they are supposed to clean those areas once in a while. Even the chairs have oil on them. They also need more people at the orders area, there is only one person there and he works in a haphazard way. If I could have given zero stars I would have definitely done that. The people working in the kitchen did not wear any gloves while making the food. I literally saw a person dipped his finger tasted the food and did not even wash the hand. The person who was serving our food coughed on his hands and immediately took another plate to serve instead of washing the hands. This is COVID 19 for gods sake, when asked about the situation the person in front said they are not wearing a mask or gloves because it's very busy. My question to the owners are is this how you are protecting customers? The food might be tasty but sorry not the germs. read more

Don't go there in the evening - they use the same hot oil in the pan all day that makes your fried items like puri etc smell and taste like burnt oil by evening. If you don't mind the burnt oil smelling food, the service is fairly friendly. Good veggie options if you are ok with burnt oil tasting food. read more

After a 15 minute wait, I informed the management of the items missing on our order and they were apologetic. 15 minutes later and I was still waiting. My companions had finished their food and were waiting for my order to arrive. It finally did, we were served a couple of jalebi's in apology. Very rude and disrespectful. Horrible customer service and average food. I have been a long time customer. It is close to home so convenient take out option. I called them for a pick up order today. Asked for dal instead of paneer curry along with the thali. Something that is already made. They just have to put daal in a container instead of paneer curry for my order. This is how the conversation went: Me: can you give me dal instead of paneer curry with my thali? Chaat house: we are very busy madam. We have 20 thali orders here. Cannot manage changes. Me: that's ok. give me paneer curry. Chaat house: we have kadhi. Me: fine. Give me that. Chaat house: ugh! just remind me when you come to pick up. Me: ok. Do you have Dal kachori? Chaat house: ugh! what? We don't have dal kachori. Who told you we have that. Do you see it anywhere on our menu? Me: it was posted on Facebook group that dal kachori is now available at Bothell Chaat house. Chaat house: ugh. no madam. We are very busy. What do you want? Me: nothing.cancel my order. Went there today close to lunch time. My order took 20 minutes to prepare and the place was not busy whatsoever. Not only that without it being busy they completely got my order wrong. I don't even know what I ended up getting it was just a mix of different things when all I ordered was one aloo parantha. This alone would not make me write a review, but rather that whatever I did get was absolutely disgusting. I am Indian and lived in India for 5 years and have been eating Indian food my whole life. I wasn't expecting anything out of this world when coming here, but what I got wasn't even recognizable to me as any Indian food I've ever had and was not stomachable. I was told that they weren't ready yet, and had to figure out something else quickly-- difficult since the menu items didn't have any descriptions and I had to Google just about everything. I settled on the samosa chaat, and my vegan friend had to ask for a list of the ingredients, since the staff wasn't familiar with the term. The food was pretty meh, the ordering process was frustrating, the atmosphere is really institutional-feeling, and the real kicker is the use of styrofoam and plastic! Totally unsustainable. I usually visit the Bellevue location and like the Chaat there. This review is for Bothell location. We ordered dosa, daal makhni and naan. I liked the dosa and the sambar was surprisingly good. The daal makhni was average - it was mild for our taste. Naan was soft and tasty. Overall 4 star for food. We were also late on Sunday evening so the food was slow - I didn't mind it because it was fresh. Definitely a pit stop for us if we are in this neighborhood. read more

I ordered the dhuy puri, which was not worth the $7 I paid for it. I judge a restaurant by their dhuy puri when they have it because it's pretty standard and hard to mess up. This was a plate flooded with dhuy and 6 puris. Nothing inside those puris except the dhuy!!! No Chana, no potato, no onion, and like a few sprinkle of sea randomly floating around the dhuy!!! They have turned around their game. Tried the haka noodles, gobi manchurian and the veg 65 biryani which were all excellent with just the right taste. Food looked and tasted freshly made.
