Practically unheard of for an autobody shop! California Collision is one of those unicorns. My only regret is not hearing of them sooner. Reflecting back on my involuntary experience of being the receiving end of a rear-end collision on the freeway, California Collision was the clear stand out. Not only did they get my BMW back on the road like it never happened, they handled it like a concierge would. Take that from a regular business traveler that works in the private equity world. George and Team handled everything in my best interests. They are an honest to goodness family business; the real deal- they all share the same last name. The first thing George did during the drop-off process was insist on giving me a walk-thru tour of the *entire* shop and work area. Other shops hesitate and deflect with these requests but George volunteers it first thing without even being asked. After using the restroom on the way out, there was not a corner I didn't see. Communication and customer service is first class- my calls, messages, and emails were always returned in a timely manner. They dealt with insurance and the car rental. I didn't have to do anything besides provide approvals. The job was done exactly how I wanted and even exceeded expectations. My BMW is older now and I expected aftermarket parts but I ended up coming out with all OEM parts at 0 expense to me. Even my optional factory/ OEM+ M-division performance parts were handled. Color match and fit were factory perfect. George is a perfectionist and personally inspects your vehicle after work is done and only releases back to you after it passes his high expectations. While they were working on my car about an accident from a driver that took full responsibility. Jose was fired while I was in the hospital for 2 spinal surgeries. I was supposed to have the car fully ceramic coated 90 days after paint was completed. I had just gotten out of the hospital and Juan a new employee called and said it was time to ceramic coat my car. I asked for Juan and was told he no longer works there! Juan said I needed to pay $1800 for the ceramic coating that Juan had included. Juan then said would I pay $800, I said it is included. I met with the manager and Juan and another employee who translated the text to the ceramic coating shop. They verified it was included. Juan conspired with the ceramic coating shop to say they coated the whole car. I met with the owner of that shop and he admitted he only coated the car between the roof rails and the 2 drivers doors. He told me they had not painted the roof down to the doors that I paid an extra $3000 on my own besides the $14000 accident repair. I was told this was the roof, down to the doors. It needed paint to be ceramic coated. Juan told me the roof didn't shine over the doors when he took me to get my car at the shop. He did not know why! I was under doctors care and was not able to go see the ceramic coating shop for awhile. He said they didn't do the whole Cara's it needed paint over the doors. I met with the owner of Fix Auto, Arthur Mercado and he said that the roof is only between the luggage racks? He said he would paint that area and the rear quarter panel for cost at $500. He was supposed to call me for an appointment because I just wanted to get my car done. He was VW on vacation so he said he would call the next week. It is over 2 weeks with no call. I finally involved the insurance company for the driver accepting responsibility. They are supposed to talk to the shop and get back to me. Arthur the owner still won't ceramic coating shop the entire car. I wanted this done at their "Preferred shop" so the insurance company will have a lifetime warranty on the paint. I can't believe what has happened on this repair and the lies. This shop has always been great in the past. They should honor what I was told and expect only that! It is terrible after Jose Arce was fired. I have been going there since 2019 and was always satisfied until now. Jose Arce was the best. The owner said he saw sanding marks on the doors they worked on also. I will possibly change this review after I see what happens.

I made appointment to get the estimation which didn't take so long. The day I dropped off my car, they contacted Enterprise to come pick me up so I could go get a rental.... They said it would take about 7-10 business days but they actually took only 3 days When I went to pick up my vehicle, I found a spot of paint that I was not happy with and another spot that I wanted them to fix.... They agreed without any hesitation so I had to leave my vehicle there. I asked if they could finish it by 10 AM the next day since I have to go to work...they said yes. I didn't expect that they would keep their promise but they called me the next morning before 10 I was able to just drop off the rental there and drove my vehicle to work within 15-20 minutes.
