Placed an order via Toast. The order was made incorrectly, I tried calling both the store and Toast multiple times but unable to reach them. Store - line goes to voicemail Toast - user is busy I ordered B1. Large Brown Sugar Pearl & Panna Cotta Milk. Panna Cotta was missing and the drink barely have any pearls. They used paper cup as opposed to clear plastic cup so it is impossible to tell whether the drink contained all the correct ingredients until you leave the store and start drinking it. Always hunting popcorn chicken and my current local favorites are Chef Cho and Ain't Common. iTea is also acceptable if it's late at night. Chachago's version is completely unseasoned so you can adjust the chili powder and salt/white pepper yourself. (Updates after going a couple times) I wanted to like this place but after going a couple times, unfortunately it's not one of my favorites. Located in a shopping complex by Mowry blvd, a bit tricky to find but just follow google maps lol Sadly, the Korean market next to it closed down (such a good place for gimbaps and banchans!) which was the other reason to be in the plaza for me. The shop is really small, can hardly fit 4-5 people in there without it feeling too crowded. I usually just wait outside the shop after I order. I've tried a couple more drinks after my first visit and honestly, I was not impressed. The matcha was entirely too bitter and the taro tasted super watered down that I didn't even get to finish it. Taiwan no.2 50% sweet- 2/5 Drink itself, besides being still sweet was decent enough probably being a 3.5/5. On the other hand, Boba was completely mushy, extremely overcooked to the point that you could just say you gave me *only* grass jelly and I wouldn't have noticed. Heck the grass jelly had a better chew lol. Broken/off AC makes me feel bad for the workers. Lightning from previous pictures makes the place seem more spacious but now it looks a bit run down and sad. Wanted to grab a quick snack and boba and found this spot. Lots of choices and decided on the red bean slush and of course order of the popcorn chicken. Chicken was juicy and not dry! Pleasantly surprised they use dark meat, a lot of the other shops around the area have switched over to the chicken breast. Lemme tell ya that ain't it LOL. My drink was good, I like the thiccness of the slush and the pieces of red bean in it. Only thing I would change is that the boba needed to be drained a lot more, I got that kinda weird sugary aftertaste that was definitely from the boba not being fully drained ( you can see it in my pic). Every visit thus far to Chachago has been met with friendly staff, delicious food, great drinks, and decent prices We ordered via the kiosk and stuck to our favorites but did notice some new drinks they were promoting. Will need to consider them next time around. Anyway, this order added to our rewards total for a future visit! The brown sugar drinks are already sweet without sugar and as a fan of this series, I ordered the one with boba and coffee jelly. It was tasty and the coffee jelly gave that slight bitterness you get with coffee flavored items. It did seem like there were more coffee jelly than boba - would have been nice to have them more equal or an option to modify the percentages. The boba was chewy - I would have liked them a little bit more round and solid but they were fine in the shape they were in. This time around, the snacks took a bit longer to cook but within about 10 minutes, we got our popcorn chicken with basil (you can choose to add or opt out of them) and was chowing down on its hot and crispy bits. This mall is slowly becoming more quiet with the departure of some stores and so parking isn't too bad. With the newer builders just across the street, however, I suspect there will be a bit more competition in the coffee/tea space. Hopefully ChaChaGo can continue to thrive especially through their snack platters and happy hour specials. If you're on the go and need a caffeine or sugar boost, consider making a stop at ChaChaGo. If you're hungry, perhaps order ahead or be prepared to wait a bit as their small kitchen may not be able to churn as quickly as their drink orders. But hey, at least you'll have something to sip on while you wait! read more

We decided to give chachago try because we were in the area and looking for a snack. We ordered the popcorn chicken, egg waffle, and the peach oolong tea with Panna cotta. The popcorn chicken was the best item that we got, surprisingly it was relatively crisp and had a good ratio of meat to breading. It wasn't really seasoned though so if you order it, be sure to be heavy handed with the seasonings that they have on the counter when you pick up the chicken. The seasonings on the counter are white pepper and spicy powder. Overall, I would say it's not bad but it's definitely not the best popcorn chicken I've ever had. The egg waffle took the longest to make which was a good sign because it was made fresh but when we received it, it was on the soggy side. The flavor was different compared to other egg waffles we had because it tasted like it had a hint of vanilla, which was very interesting. Even with this twist I probably wouldn't order it again purely because it didn't have the crisp and texture that I prefer when eating a waffles. For the peach oolong pure tea, the tea was definitely not brewed fresh because it had a very bitter taste to it, which overpowered the entire flavor of the tea. I ended up getting a pure tea because they mentioned that they only use milk powder in their milk teas, which is a huge turn off for me because I prefer Boba shops with multiple milk options. When I saw that they had Panna cotta on the menu, I was super excited because I love Panna cotta, but unfortunately, this Panna cotta disappointed. It's because it had a really weird grainy texture and the flavor was offputting. Overall, I won't be coming back mostly because this place didn't wow me and didn't have anything differentiating it from other Boba shops. I stopped in for a quick snack and ordered the fried tofu. For $7 bucks, the portion was quite generous, and the tofu was fried to perfection. I prefer my tofu cubes to be cut up a little smaller so I have "more" to eat. Whoever made up the tofu here knew the perfect bite-sized cube to cut the tofu. It was *perfection*. There is pepper and chili powder for you to season your fried snacks to suit your taste. There was only one person working in the front so I don't know if that's why the service was so slow. I didn't mind since I wasn't in a rush. If you're in a hurry, I would order ahead. I didn't order a drink this time but look forward to trying their milk tea next time. For those who can't have dairy, they also offer almond milk as an option . There are a few drinks that have dairy already mixed in so those ones wouldn't be vegan-friendly. The girl working today was knowledgable about the menu and what could be modified, etc. The place had pretty cute decor, great for taking pics for the gram. The wall had a beautiful (fake) flower arrangement in blue and white. There is a bench that stretches all along the wall and lined with adorable cushions that are too cute to sit on but they defintely have been flattened by guests! Some customers who ordered before me ordered some mango smoothie drinks which looked really tasty. The totally walked off looking pleased with their order. Honestly the boba shop's name sounds like Chicago. Anyways, my friend and I decided to go come to this location to get some boba and snacks. When I first got here, there is many people most likely because it's hot outside right now. I'm surprised that there are many items you can buy from the menu. Literally different names of drinks and food, but you may have to go to one of the kiosks to see what they look like. I literally had a hard time deciding which ones I want and so I had my friend help me out on it. Food and drinks taste as good as other boba places. From the inside, it's very small and rarely has seats. However, I do like how they added plants and other natural resources to make this place look vibrant and modern. I wish that they added more seats, but the place is too small since people are here lining up and waiting for their orders to be picked up. So then my friend and I stood for a while until like 30 minutes later that many people left. It's funny how they still have a Grand Opening sign for over a year now just for the restaurant to promote itself. You may see that it is false advertising, but attractive at the same time. Chachago is a bit hidden but not far from Fremont Hub and worth a trip if you're craving boba and fried snacks. Sadly it is a bit small so likely not a great place to go to hang out, but they do have a bench and photo op decor. Their yakult drinks are delicious, but recently I NEEDED something with more caffeine so I tried their Thai Tea W/ Brown Sugar Pearls & Panna Cotta-and it is deliciousssss. Warning: the menu does say the drink is very sweet by default so I selected 0% extra sweetness and it was still VERY sweet - don't get it if you don't have a sweet tooth. I couldn't finish the whole thing, but it was delicious-I especially love how creamy the panna cotta is. I would def try the panna cotta with their other drinks next time. :) Their shrimp balls are also very craveable-they're super crispy and topped with kewpie mayo. Walked in on a Tuesday evening, no line. There's two self serve kiosks, you can order on there. I decided to go for a simple drink, their Taiwan milk tea with boba, 100% ice and 25% sugar. It's already extra sweet from the brown sugar so I'm glad I adjusted it, but the boba is really soft? I don't particularly like super hard boba either but I do like boba that has a more of a chewy texture rather one that's soft and doesn't fight back. I was surprised that they allowed me to adjust the sweetness level on this because they are typically unadjustable. I appreciated this! Strong tea flavor coming through, not overpowered by brown sugar or milk. Uji Matcha Pearl. If you want a matcha drink, this is it. Strong, earthy matcha and milk. Period. That's it. The boba adds the perfect amount of sweetness to balance it all out. Hopefully their wait times have improved as they get their footing. I dropped by to try this tea place out recently that I hadn't really noticed since it's tucked away off of State St. It is a very small shop with only a few seats to sit in, but there is plenty of parking. You order through kiosks and the drinks are made relatively fast. I had minimal interactions with the workers here since ordering is through the kiosk but they do seem pretty friendly. I ordered the Thai Tea with Boba. I will say, the boba is very, very sweet, I would recommend cutting the sweetness down on the sugar in the drink to balance it out. I also got the 'Fresh Sugar Cane Juice' for my mom. To her, it tasted artificial and the portion was small for the price that it was.
