Came here on National Free Boba Day 4/30 which was a nice bonus since we got free panda boba as a topping! I ordered the fragrant oolong milk tea with fresh milk, extra sweet. It was decent - probably around a 3.5/5 for me. The tea flavor was there, but nothing super memorable. My cousin got the jasmine milk tea, and we both agreed it was about the same, mid at best, not anything that really stands out compared to other boba spots. One thing to note is that they only have self-order kiosks, so there's not much interaction with staff. It makes ordering quick and straightforward for those who prefer that. I won't be coming back to this SunRight Tea Studio. The taste of the drinks weren't good for around $7. I used to like them. The cups are the awful paper kind. Usually they're supposed to be in clear plastic cups so you can see the drinks. The ones I got felt like fast food paper drinks. The tea itself was not very good. I have to criticize the White Peach Ooling Tea. There wasn't any peach flavor. The drink I received tasted like Papaya milk tea. I love Sunright Tea Studio! The fact that this is close by whenever I visit my family is awesome. I first tried the Sunnyvale location, and it has easily become one of my top boba spots. I have tried various drinks, and they have all been consistently good each time. I usually visited Sunright once a week because of how conveniently close and consistently good it has been. I love mango, so I have tried most of their mango drinks! My go-to is the Mango Milk Tea at 0% sweetness with fresh milk and honey boba. Even at 0%, there is the light sweetness from the mango. This drink is definitely on the milkier side and tastes more like mango milk. The boba has been consistently soft chewy every time. The Mango Jasmine Tea at 0% sweetness is great for whenever I'm craving a fruit tea. Even at 0% sweetness, there is a light sweetness from the mango. The mango juice is also well blended in, so there aren't any chunks of mango if you aren't really into texture in your drinks. The Mango Frostie at 0% sweetness was also lightly sweet because of the dried mango. Keep in mind that it will be more liquid rather than slushy if you reduce the sweetness level. The Mango Yakult at 0% sweetness is also lightly sweet from the yakult; however, this drink separates between the mango juice and yakult. I've tried the Sunright Boba Milk Tea at 0% sweetness. The brown sugar boba is soft chewy and coated in the delicious brown sugar boba. Once I mixed the boba and drink around, the drink tasted more like 25% sweetness which was perfect for me. The shop itself is small with no seating, so everyone is coming in and out for their boba runs. It's located in a plaza, so there is plenty of parking whenever I visit on the weekends. You're able to adjust between different sweetness levels, ice levels and toppings, and make special requests to remove toppings you dislike. Only downside is there is only one size, besides the kids menu. Love that you are able to customize. I was very excited to try my Thai milk tea with creme brulee! It was so yummy, I've had this combination elsewhere and I wanted to see if this place could make it the same and they did! I wish they were able to blend it but maybe I'll ask next time. One of my go to place for boba from bart! I like their peach frostie drink when it's in season. Their frostie drinks are pretty much a slushie and a great treat if you're looking for something refreshing. They're also caffeine free which is a bonus if you're sensitive to caffeine and want a drink later in the day. I tend to go for peach drinks so I also tried their white peach oolong tea with cheese foam with green tea jelly. The green tea jelly was the perfect complement however I'm usually not a fan of cheese foams and there were no way to remove it when ordering at the kiosk. The yakults are good if you want something a bit more tart and caffeine free. The drinks here mostly have been pretty solid and a great option after long travels from bart. read more

Sunright is one of the better Boba spots in the Bay Area and it's definitely a must visit. The quality seems to be consistent with their different locations. I've had the opportunity to try most things on the menu but my favorite is the grape frosty, which unfortunately seems to be a seasonal item. The menu is extensive enough to where there should be something for everyone as there are your more traditional choices, as well as, some fusion (East meets West), creative new drinks. Sunright uses high quality ingredients, many of which are locally sourced in California. And yes, you can absolutely tell the difference! This is also because they don't cut corners and costs during the prep. The staff is always on top of things and even when there are long lines, they always work diligently and quickly while maintaining the high quality standard. The location itself is small, narrow, and it's pretty much a grab and go at the moment but the decor matches the theme. Watch out before you shake your drink. I ordered 3 drinks and they laid the 3rd drink sideways on top of the 2 drinks that's in the bag. When I picked up the drink that's on top, it started spilling because it wasn't sealed properly. The liquid got all over the bottom of the bag and all over the place since I was in a moving car. I called the store and let them know about it and they knew they have a problem with the sealing machine. At least they should check the drinks if they knew there's a problem with the sealing machine. read more

I've had Sunright in the past and remember it being pretty good but after my most recent experience, I won't return. My drink was bad but what really did it for me was the service. I didn't expect much in terms of service - customers place their orders by using a tablet so service is already non-existent, but the interaction with the person behind the counter irked me. For my drink, I tried their seasonal Changli Thai Oat Brulee Latte. At first glance, the drink looked NOTHING like what was advertised. The photos had creme brulee swirls around the cup, and this looked like straight up regular Thai tea. I tried a sip and it tasted like watered down Thai tea that was super flat and lacking in flavor. I came in almost 40 mins before closing, there were still other customers coming in as well. I can tell they were cleaning up and getting ready to close for the day. Some of the employees were standing around chit chatting so when I was able to get the attention of one of the guys, I mentioned to him that my drink tasted a little off. I asked if there was anyway to make it sweeter or anything he could give me to add to it, just so that I can try to make it more tolerable and not waste the drink. He said no and walked away. I wasn't mad that I was charged $8ish dollars for overpriced nasty Thai tea, what bothered me was that guy's attitude. The Thai tea was perfectly sweet any didn't have that much of a tea flavor which I enjoyed. This is my review of sunright tea studio. I tried the Oreo Brulee Boba Milk and the Matcha Oolong Milk Tea, and both drinks were solid picks! The Oreo Brulee had a rich, dessert-like flavor--creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness, and a nice crunchy brûlée layer on top. The boba was soft and chewy, just the way I like it. It was a little heavy on the boba for my liking. The Matcha Oolong Milk Tea was smooth and well-balanced, with earthy undertones from the matcha and a hint of floral oolong. There was about an inch of mashed taro at the bottom of the cup so you know you're getting the real thing. Unless you open the cup and mix the paste with a spoon/straw, the mashed taro kind just stays at the bottom. This explained why the bottom of the cup felt cool. I would have liked the drink to be a lot warmer. For a hot drink it was just slightly warm even right after it came out. I wish there was seating, but friends and I just walked across the street to the plaza and bought something small from a bakery to sit and chat at. read more
