It's also obviously a family affair since I'm fairly certain I was the only one there who didn't know anyone. But the way they spoke about mutual friends/family was really evident. Everyone knew who they were speaking about. I thought the prices were definitely reasonable. I won't comment on my result since someone doing your hair for the first time is going in blind (and I've had people who have done mine several times come out looking like they're going in blind). But it definitely did look awesome. It's quaint, but they offer you drinks (even wine). My one complaint would be the space is too small. Every station was taken and they were even sharing stations (not in a weird way AT ALL) just to get someone in the chair, in the dryer and in the sink. But overall experience was definitely higher end and I will be back (hopefully with Hannah). I do miss the days of living in the city and having one person completely dedicated to color and another completely dedicated to style...that being said they don't have the space for that so not going to try to say something negative about that. I recently went here on a Saturday morning to get my daughter's hair done for a quince she was…read moregoing to be in. I had called during the week and made an appt for 9:30am. The morning of, I received a text at 7:30am saying they don't have a stylist at 9:30 and to come in at 10am. Okay, fine. I get there at 9:50am and the salon is closed, doors are locked and we don't see anyone inside. At 9:55 I text back the same number who text me earlier and she said she would be there in a few minutes. She shows up and starts working on my daughter's hair. I very much like to believe in "trust the process". I don't do hair and honestly I'm not very good at styles, which is exactly the reason why I wanted something special & professional for my daughter. I really feel uncomfortable being confrontational in public. It's not my style and I don't want to get into an argument. My daughter liked the front of her hair and I liked the curls at first but later realized they were terrible. The stylist told us to brush out the curls later (why should I have to style hair I'm paying u $65 to do?) and said it should be fine. When I tried to separate them later I noticed white flakes from whatever hairspray or product she put in my daughter's hair. She never clipped curls up and waited until they cooled and the back looked very messy. I said it was fine and looked nice (bc the front was okay and the curls seemed nice in the salon). I even tipped bc I always tip. I went out to the car and a few blocks away pulled over and saw how terrible the back looked. Bobby pins sticking out (literally sticking out) and her hair was super frizzy and messy looking. I'm not a stylist but my daughter had a photoshoot from a sweet 16 a few weeks ago and the hair was like night and day! We did not have time to have someone else fix this so we had to go with it for the day. A lot of people gave good reviews online in a FB group, which is why I went there but, sorry, I will not be going back and cannot recommend this place to anyone. The attached pic is immediately after we left the salon. I also attached the inspo pic (which was a video from Pinterest actually that we showed the stylist). I do not want to be contacted by the salon.
