Chada Thai Cuisine's food is disappointing. We ordered by phone and picked up our food ourselves. The place is a little run down, but at least the man at the register was nice. When we got back to home base, every item was poorly executed and bland. The pad kee mao noodles were congealed together in soggy clumps. A few sad chunks of unseasoned chicken and a few small pieces of basil accompanied the disaster. There was plenty of crushed red pepper, but zero sauce, no onions and no garlic. It was essentially a pile of spicy bland noodles. The pad see ew was equally bad. Again, the noodles were clumped, coagulated, ghostly white. No dark soy sauce, no gai lan, no flavor at all. Four soggy broccoli florets accompanied the unseasoned chicken and a few bits of egg. I'll spare you the details on the other items other than to say that they were equally disappointing. Amazing! We used to come here often as locals before we moved away. Came back and ordered Togo, and it was amazing ! The Chada fried rice was flavored well and had great texture. Many places make fried rice too wet but this one had a great bite. The noodles had the perfect spice level and the owners suggested pork with it and it was so good and well balanced. Ka Pow made with ground chicken went so well over some warm white rice. Saucy, salty, spicy, but still light. Chicken Larb hit my spicy food craving as well! We used to get their wing but they ran out! They are absolutely delicious. I also loved that the owners were so kind and the food pickup was quick and easy! Great people, great food! read more

Thai food is my all time favorite food and I know good thai food when I eat it. I'm really not sure why they don't have more stars, but I thought the quality was great and the owner in the front was soo sweet. It made me so sad not seeing anyone eating inside. It looked like I was the only person who ordered takeout. I ordered the garden rolls (which are ultimately spring rolls), a shrimp pad thai, and a vegetable fried rice. The pad thai wasn't too "wet" like other restaurants. Very well balanced. The spring roll was FAT. They did not skimp out on the veggies. The peanut sauce was also the right consistency, which I appreciated. The rice wasn't greasy and there was a perfect amount of vegetable varieties included. Definitely would recommend and I would love for more people to come check it out and see what this place has to offer! read more

I love this place for quick, affordable, and delicious Thai takeout. Whenever I'm alone and get a craving for Thai food but I'm too "Thai-rd" (see what I did there) to cook, this is my go-to spot. Although their dining room has remained closed since Covid, the quality of the food and service is great. I am surprised when I see the 4-star rating and other reviews. I actually got to Chada Thai's website when doing some research for a restaurant by the same name in Las Vegas. But since I live here in town and it was dinner time, AND they only do take-out, I ordered it delivered through DoorDash. It was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. And since DoorDash brought it to me, over $20 of my $80 bill was to DoorDash and the driver. Not only is it NOT affordable, as the menu and other reviewers state, it was simply not any good. I got a fried rice (bland and mushy), Chada Prawns (mushy and not tasty), Thai Chicken Potstickers (boiled, limp and not crispy), and Panang Curry with Shrimp (six shrimp and a few pieces of boiled (yes, boiled) cucumber; there were also about six lonely peas and one pea pod; this was in a milk-thin curry soup, not gravy). I will not be ordering from Chada Thai again. Once burned, twice shy. BTW, this Yelp review already had "Food" and "Service" checked, as if I was complimenting them. Didn't eat here. Was referred to this restaurant by someone who I suspect can't remember where we ate. It definitely wasn't this place and I believe it was Thai Smile many years ago. I called to make reservations and went straight to voicemail. So I drove there with my guest and found out it was to-go only. Don't recall hearing that on the voicemail. But if it is on the voicemail, that should probably be stated first. As someone else mentioned on Yelp (who I thought was joking), the place looked like a daycare. There was an area sectioned off with toys and mats on the floor. I feel for someone who needs to split their business up to have child care inside too. But for customers, this seems out of place and odd. I could now see why it's to-go only. Who would want to dine in? We ended up going to Peppers Thai instead. I think it's better than Smiles Thai. But I can't really rate Chada since I didn't eat there. I don't want to be that person to give them one star just because it looks like a daycare. This food was delish. I was visiting palm springs and I decided to order on Uber eats. I called the restaurant about my gluten sensitive before ordering and they were very accommodating. My friend ordered the orange chicken and they went they extra step by calling me back to tell me it wasn't gluten free. I ordered the Chada fried rice light oil and it was cooked to perfection. It could have had a more generous portion of meat, but the flavor was great. I also ordered the tom yum soup which was delicious. Suck great customer service and the food... EVEN BETTER! I loved every item we ordered and will be coming back here:)) I highly recommend going In for a fool meal or even a spring roll as a snack. This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in downtown PS. Certainly better than Thai Smile and an entire dimension better than Peppers Thai. But since Covid, the owners have decided they'd prefer to watch their kids in the dining room instead of opening the dining room back up for eat-in customers. That's a "no thanks" for me, since I won't drive from Cathedral City to downtown PS for take-out. So that's the reason for my 3 stars, instead of a solid 4 or better. I guess they have enough take-out from Desert Regional at lunch to make up for the lost dining room business, so they don't care. If all you want is take-out anyway, their food is great. But they don't seem to be planning to open the dining room back up anytime soon. By the time their kids are big enough to not need daycare, I'll probably be in diapers. We came here to eat in the restaurant so as not to waste plastic on to-go containers and to have a pleasant sit-down. Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived, we were greeted at the door with a terse, "Pick-up?" I replied, "no". "Take-out". I replied, "no". Their reply "No!", gesturing to the tables and chairs that were all empty. We ended up ordering take-out but they gave us STYROFOAM containers. We were horrified but had already paid and had waiting a substantial amount of time. To say the food was horrible and sadly small portions would not be lying. But worse than the "taste" of the food was the fact that the hot food stuck to the styrofoam, melting it in places, mixing directly into our food which will sure to give us cancer. Well,well, well, Firstly there was only one employee who was waiter, busboy, cashier etc. Half the tables hadn't been cleared if dirty dishes. We wondered why no one answered the phone because there were only 4 tables with people there. So needless to say, bad service! Food wasn't good across the board. Some things were good others not. Would I go back again?! The spicy sole was really good and I love tod mon(fried fish cake) and no where else serves it. Authentic Thai food in Northern Palm Springs at the beginning of the main street of town. I wouldn't venture further into the main strip to get Thai food since they'll probably be over priced and too packed with tourist and not as authentic. Being Thai, I enjoyed Chada Thai. The service was slow (the waitress kept walking into the kitchen and disappearing), but the food made up for it. It wasn't packed, so I wasn't sure what she was doing. We walked in and grabbed our own menus and sat ourselves down. LOL. She was very nice though. The Rad Na (gravy noodles) and Pad Thai were actually pretty good. Liked it. If i'm in PS again and wanted Thai food, i'll probably be back to Chada. Hopefully the wait staff will be around more though. Prices were average for the Palm Springs area. read more

Ordered though postmates. Had the never ending issue of not being about to pick between pad thai or pad seew so I did what any intelligent person would do, got both. I wanted to support local biz. Went in for lunch special. Sign said take out only. Floor was strewn with toys and kids running around. I approached cashier, a man in his 50s, and asked for pad Thai lunch special. He wrung me up full price. I showed him menu and told him I wanted his " lunch" special. I asked him what it came with and he said nothing. I showed him it stated salad. He rung up correct price, and gave me takeout food with menu. No napkins, no utensils. Come on! You can't pretend you don't know you have lunch specials. You can't be babysitting in a place of business. INCREDIBLE Pad Thai - probably the best I've had in Palm Springs... and yes, it's better than Thai Smile. What a nice little hidden gem! Their Beef Noodle Soup is delicious as well. It's similar to the beef noodle soup at Bangkok Noodles in Cathedral City, but more flavorful and has the beef balls on top of regular beef which is a nice mix. My boyfriend has tried the Panang Curry and the Green Curry and he really enjoys them both. The service is really good too. Waiter (seems like he might be the owner as well) is very friendly. We are going to be regulars now! It's truly refreshing to come across an Asian restaurant that is on par with those in LA Thai Town where we lived for a year and got spoilt with the best food. I wanna like this place so much I gave them a second chance after receiving really terrible customer service one day but no matter what I always seem to have a bad experience. They are just not very good with customer service and are extremely cheap, not the food, the food is priced the same as any of the other Thai places in town. They have very reluctantly given me soy sauce packs and utensils to go in the past but the most annoying is that the yellow curry comes with rice, it says so right on the menu! Check the menu pics here on Yelp! The last time I ordered it, I ordered through a delivery app and also ordered extra rice but did not get it. They gave just one small box of rice, I am assuming it was the one that I paid extra for and nothing else so unlike dine-in you get no rice with your curry. How sad is that? So stupid me, I ordered the curry a second time with a note to say please remember the rice (again the menu clearly states it comes with rice) and what do you know they charged me extra!??? I also asked for soy sauce for the Pad Thai and got one tiny packet of soy sauce!!! The curry itself was also a half portion IMO. Soooo needless to say I will be ordering from some of the various more well established Thai places around town from now on because they don't charge me extra for the rice, they give me more than one soy sauce pack and bigger portions anyways.
