    Duck Curry

Family-Owned, Thai restaurant in Federal Hill with beautiful decor and elaborate menu. I highly recommend the duck roll for appetizer, it's delicious, and goes by quickly. The fish cakes were not my favorite, they are decent with the sauce and vegetable medley. I recommend you get entrees besides the duck curry or the cow soy. The chicken was overcooked and the duck was not particularly tasty compared to other duck I have had in the past. I've heard the drunken noodles are good, did not try them myself. Service was very good, prompt and engaging. Really enjoyed the servers!

Delicious food from a new thai spot in the area. We dropped by right before a football game and it was a great escape from the hustle & bustle. I highly recommend the duck duck basil dish - so crispy & flavorful (I wish I took a photo of it before I ate it) don't skip on dessert either which is quite good! The food also came out relatively quickly which was nice

What a find. My friend wanted Thai and found this spot between our homes. Street parking was a bit rough for Friday night but so glad we checked this restaurant out. It's packed in well for the small place it is. There were several diners when we arrived and even more came as the night went on. I ordered their Duck Basil (crispy) with a level 2 spice and my friend got their Chicken Drunken Noodles (spice level 1) along with some Calamari. My dish wasn't that spicy and neither was my friends. She wanted a bit more of a kick and asked our server for some spice which he brought out. It definitely gave it more of a light spice which is what we were looking for. We both really enjoyed our dishes as they had so much flavor and adding the spice took it up a notch for us. Such a great Thai place with very friendly staff!

Amazing Thai food! Very authentic. The staff is very kind. The inside is decorated with a mix of Thai and nature art. Large variety of food from fried rice, noodles, curry, soups, apps, desserts. Definitely the best Thai food I've had in Baltimore!

Just got carry out from here tonight. Possibly our best order so far. Food was amazing! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Thai food so I was excited to try this new restaurant. It's in Fed Hill so parking can be annoying, but I walked so it was easier. There's a decent amount of seating. I got the drunken noodles and Thai papaya salad. I found the portions to be very big, so it's a great value. However, the papaya salad was much too salty for me (and I've had it numerous times before). The drunken noodles were flavorful and you could customize the spice level which is nice. Since it's a newer restaurant, I understand there might be small kinks to be worked through. My food took a very long time to arrive, much later than everyone else at my table. They also calculated our bill incorrectly, but it was rectified shortly after we brought it to their attention. Overall, I do like this place and find it to be a nice affordable Thai restaurant. I would like to see them get smoother in their operations as they mature.

I've dined here a few times since they have opened and both times the food was delicious. The location is great in the heart of Federal Hill on light Street. I really enjoyed the service from the older gentleman who appears to be the owner. He is very kind and funny. They have a daily offering of food for a Buddha like statue in the restaurant. He was eager to explain when I asked. The food was delicious and portions were generous. I enjoyed the Thai green curry, which was a generous portion and seasoned perfectly. There was just enough heat as well. I would certainly dine here again and have taken friends as well.

Chada opened in early October in the old Thai Arroy space on Light Street, and I'm so glad they are here! We stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night and there were several tables occupied and folks coming in for carryout orders (they do also deliver via the apps). The interior has different decor from prior but gives the same cozy and bright feel. The ownership is also different, seems to be family run. Currently they don't have outdoor seating but I'm hoping that will change! The service was great, we were checked in on regularly and our water glasses were never empty, which was great since we ordered our meals spicy! They don't have a liquor license so we brought along a bottle of wine as did all the other diners who were there that night. Food was spectacular. We tried pad ka prow and drunken noodles, both were delicious and tasted authentic with no frills. Good portion sizes. I was a bit too full to try anything off their dessert menu but I will do so next time!

Came in on a busy Friday evening and I thought overall it was a good experience. I loved the decor- they had a lot of traditional Thai decorations that were unique and elegant. The service was a bit spotty that day as there were many tables full and also lots of takeout orders, and they seemed to only have one server. The menu was expansive but ultimately decided on the Thai papaya salad and the Thai chicken basil. I thought both were decent but nothing special. Pricing was reasonable for the portion size. Since I live close by, I will probably come again but I wasn't blown away by my experience.

Best Thai curries in Baltimore- and real Thai folks doing the cooking! The green and yellow curries are amazing. And the owner is so sweet!

We visited on a Tuesday, and since it wasn't very busy, the service was attentive and our food came out quickly. We took advantage of one of their daily specials. the Cumin Beef Stir-Fry was half off ($13). It ended up being my favorite dish. The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned. The Tibetan Diced Lamb also had great flavor with a nice balance of spices. The Sichuan Popcorn Chicken, however, wasn't what I expected. It wasn't the traditional Sichuan-style chicken I was hoping for and leaned more on the sweet side, which personally wasn't my favorite. The Flaming Roasted Lamb Leg had a delicious smoky flavor and came with a fun tableside presentation where it was set on fire. That said, the portion was on the smaller side for the price, and I was a little surprised to find what looked like French fries underneath the lamb. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and street parking was easy to find. They don't have a liquor license yet, so it's currently BYOB. There's a liquor store that's a three minute walk away from the restaurant. They also offer tea for $5 with free refills and soda for $2.50 with free refills. I also appreciated that they offer select dishes at half price on certain days of the week, so it's worth checking their specials before you visit. Overall, the food was flavorful, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the daily specials make this a great value. While not every dish was a hit for me, the cumin beef and Tibetan lamb were excellent.

I ordered delivery from Lao Sze Chuan a few months ago, but finally visited in person this past…read moreSaturday and had a very good meal. Lao Sze Chuan is a new-ish (open since January 2025) Sichuan restaurant that took over the space Busboys and Poets used to occupy. It's a huge space, but they did a great job renovating it, and it feels light and bright and modern - very comfortable. It's huge though - so I hope people know it's there and are ordering takeout/delivery or stopping by a for a meal in person! The service was very friendly and very fast, so it's a great spot for an in-person meal, too! Their menu is as large as the restaurant space, so there's something for everyone! They definitely have a lot of Sichuan dishes, but if you're not up for Sichuan, they have some other dishes that might fit the bill: dim sum (plenty of dumplings and buns), lo mein, fried rice, Peking duck, basil eggplant, Mongolian beef, and more... On Saturday at the restaurant, my husband and I shared a pot of white tea and a few dishes: crystal shrimp dumplings; pork soup dumplings; spicy tofu skin strips (shredded tofu skin tossed with Sichuan-style chili oil, peppercorns, and spices for a bold, numbing and spicy flavor); spicy and sour fish fillets (tender fish fillets simmered in a flavorful broth with pickled mustard greens, garlic, and Sichuan spices); a side of white rice for the fish; and red bean paste pumpkin cakes for dessert. When we ordered delivery in February, we shared: vegetable steamed dumplings; Yu-Shiang Eggplant Roll (tender eggplant braised and rolled in a traditional Sichuan Yu-Shiang sauce, offering a perfect balance of sweet, sour, savory, and spicy notes); crispy salty chicken (bite-sized chicken pieces deep-fried and seasoned with basil); salt & pepper pork chops (crispy fried pork chops tossed with onions and jalapeño peppers for a bold and savory flavor); and a side of white rice). I've enjoyed everything we've eaten (although I wouldn't recommend the crispy dishes for delivery for obvious reasons - I can't resist salt & pepper pork chops sometimes even though I know it doesn't travel the best), and I love how broad the menu is. I can't wait to return to try more of their dishes!

The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the service was impeccable. I had multiple servers come and check up on me and I felt like if I ever needed anything they were able to take care of it. Also, one of the servers mentioned the restaurant is peanut free in case anyone has any allergies. The poke was really delicious. I felt that the salmon was very fresh and I thought they gave very large chunks of salmon compared to other restaurants that really do skip out on the salmon portion, but this restaurant did not! The poke had cucumbers, mangoes, avocado, and scallions as well and I felt that the mango with a nice touch to add some sweetness, and it was also very fresh. The addition of the cucumber gave a nice crunchy texture that helped the dish overall. As for the sauce, I got the original non-spicy poker sauce. I didn't use too much of it because a little bit goes a long way. I recommend anyone to come and try out the poker here and I haven't tried their Ramen yet, but I do look forward to it soon.

I found Ramen Utsuke from Yelp and although it had over 4-stars, I was skeptical because I came from a town with excellent Asian restaurants so I couldn't help but be a bit judgey about the reviews. Stopped by around late 4PM and the tables were still mostly occupied. We were quickly seated in a booth and ordered a few appetizers, bentos, and ramens. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was actually pretty legit Japanese. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen Black and the broth was delicious. The noodles were well done and it had a fair amount of toppings. The pork chashu could be better (they were a little dry) but overall, it was very good in a legitimate-Asian approved way. I also got the avocado salad in onion and roasted garlic dressing and the dressing was the bomb! We use the remainder as dipping sauce for other stuff. Service was great - the staff were very professional and attentive. Definitely recommended!
