The building was already lovely and now it is nothing short of jaw dropping! I am an interior decorator, and I have lived in high-end areas of California. But the Palms Apartments tops them all. Just recently, the building locks where changed without informing any of the current residents it was going to happen until the day they performed the action. I came home and couldn't get through the front building door! And guess how the new keys were delivered? They just dropped the new keys off outside the apartment doors, unsecured. Very smart. Also, they didn't switch all of the buildings door locks, so now we have multiple mismatch keys that work on different buildings doors. Avoid this place at all costs. I never leave reviews, this is my first, but I really hope this helps someone avoid the trouble I had to live through.

Property management asked me to reach through their email so i sent several emails, didnt receive any replies and just keep forcing me follow their rules. 3. EV chargers only 1/3 are working. Always full because only 1/3 chargers are working. 4. Dirty trashcan room. Used to do valet trash service (no more valet trash service but still charging $30 for regular trash service) and lock the trash entrace so trashed were just piled up in trashroom. There is no doorman, package room, pool, roof-deck, gym or any other convenience that one can usually find standard in a similar type of rental community in the Hermosa/Redondo Beach area. Azure's management company, Pan American, is a master of the "bait and switch" sales tactic in which they'll lure you in with rental concessions and then increase your rental rates as soon as your initial lease expires. Their rates are inflated for the market, which is why there are units sitting vacant with little interest from prospective tenants. The rent for my unit increased 12% year-over-year when you factor in the initial rent concession to bait us to move in and the property management company tried to claim that increased rental rates for the renewal are aligned with the local market. If that were true, there wouldn't be vacant units in the building with such high turnover. I offered to keep my rent flat in order to renew my lease, which is still 9% higher than my effective rent during the initial lease and they rejected the proposal. They would rather lose money offering a rental concession to new tenants than keep an existing tenant at full-price. Pan American's corporate greed and senseless business practices are unethical and tacky. Do yourself a favor and pass on this property!

Just two things that need to be addressed promptly by the owners of the apartment complex: 1). Trash shoots need to me DEEP CLEANED. I've lived in apartments my whole life. And these are the worse trash chutes I have ever seen. I can't step foot into the trash area to throw my trash away. not even close to the chut either. So throwing my trash is a horrible experience for me because You have to wear the right shoes..if you don't you track this Laywer of filth into your apartment and it's not ok. My shoes almost have to be thrown away. They need to just hire someone to come deep clean those a few times to clean it up once and for good. and maybe even repaint that area. This is not something that can be ignored anymore. Those chute areas are a health hazard. We recently also got notices on our door stating "there would be fines given to tenants who don't put the trash into the chutes". But how can we do that if we have step foot into that area at all! This has to be addressed! i literally can't for my well being step foot in there or it ruins my shoes. plus how are they going to give us "fines" if they don't even have cameras in any of the tenant areas. No cameras in the hallways. No cameras in the trash shoot area by the doors. 2). Which brings me to the next issue. There are no CAMERAS in any of the tenant areas to protect the tenants well being. i heard that there are only cameras in the common areas and first floors of parking. That's a problem. It's not enough. This is la. It would protect both parties tenant and landlords to have them atleast by all doors bare minimu. even if they couldnt have them in all the hallways. How much does 4-5 cameras cost. Not a lot. How many problems is that going to solve. A lot. How much money are we paying for these apartments? A lot. These two things are imperative issues that need to be handled fast. I was getting mg makeup done the other day also and one of the girls who did my makeup at the mall actually lives in the same apartments as me. She told me she got her car broken into also on the 7th floor! No cameras..course that's going to happen! Look..get cameras in the building or this is a walking safety hazard. spend the extra $700 to get cameras. She said she told the front and they did nothing. It's time to do something about this. Before this gets worse. All and all this apartment complex is great though. China the manager at the front is great. There's lots of parking everywhere. Most people that live here seem cool. This location is great. The hallways always smells super good which is a plus. maintenece is on point and fixes things fast. The apartment I have is super updated and nice. They also need to make sure they fix the jacuzzi also because it breaks down a lot. It's a really beautiful jacuzzi though, and pool. The gym here is spectacular and no one is ever in here. And they even give you nice towels and free water to use. It's honestly a great apartment complex.

We first started renting and were so impressed that we then decided to buy once a place opened up. Our favorite features of this community are: - It is extremely close to the highway and to the beach. And the fact that the beach is Manhattan Beach (which is probably the nicest beach in LA) is icing on the cake. - The gated community has a beautiful walking trail with so much greenery around it. We love going for walks around here with our dog. - The school district is amazing! This is an award-winning district that is just wonderful for kids. - The buildings are new, having been built in 2007. Everything just works so well. - The HOA fee is so low! I'm never seen such a good community with such a low HOA fee. This is because the HOA has been well-managed and has funds available. - It is very close to silicon beach, where there is strong technology growth happening. And the LA Rams stadium is not too far away. This area is great for growth! - There are a ton of big companies around like Mattel and Northrop Grumman, so jobs aplenty. - And best of all, the people in the community are great. THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS COMMUNITY SHOULD BE ABOUT! Talk about judging a book completely wrong!!! So yes, I do have some problems with the way the community has changed over the years, and management should be concerned with these people, not the families who have lived in Manhattan Beach (previously for 30+ years until moving to the Fusion.) But on top of that there are roaches and rodents the trash bins are always over flowing cause there are only 4 bins for 130 units. I mean come on they charge enough rent,just get more bins damn it! Neighbors are loud and ghetto. It's just not a good place to live. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.
