This review is long overdue!!! Back in October 2018 we needed a new place to live quickly and were looking at houses to begin but couldn't find anything we liked and that was available in 3 days!!!! Which was the amount of time we got from the owners of the house we were house sitting that they needed to move back in urgently!!! Prior to house sitting we had spent 2 years renting at Media Towers 2 - right across the road!! The day before we needed to vacate the house we were frantic to find a place and we just by chance drove past Media Towers. Kathleen the manager was there and I told her we needed a place the next day!!! As we were previous tenants we didn't have to run our credit or do the whole process as she knew us and we signed the lease that afternoon and moved in the next day!!! The process couldn't have been easier and was stress free!!! We were there for a year before we decided to move further west due to better schooling options for our son! We moved out in October 2019!!! Our apartment was way too big for us but our balcony was exceptional!!!! We wanted to downsize to a smaller apartment - we would still be there if we didn't need to move!!! The building is conveniently located to Hollywood and Downtown and close to the freeway. There were loads of homeless people around but at the time didn't seem to bother anyone!! Felt safe in the area. read more

The most efficient and best thing you could do for yourself is to keep it moving. Literally. If you wanted to stay here, keep searching. Media Towers in Hollywood is an overpriced scam from slumlords. It's a management company that "takes care" of the apartment complex, and they have a couple other locations, as well. However, this company is the most incompetent managing company I have ever dealt with. None of them know the laws and so a lot of people that stay here end up getting scammed before they even know it because they made you agree to something you didn't want to. They don't take care of the actual building, and it's practically the same from when it was built. Cockroaches, bugs, mold, and asbestos. Oh! And on top of that, no one really lives in the units because most units are just used as Air BnB places for tourists since it's located right off of the freeway, off of the Hollywood Blvd. exit. It's convenient, and that's where it stops. If you were a tourist, a hotel would still be the better option and there's even some on the same street. Settling for cockroaches and stinky units is not the way to go. However, it's still non-stop with the Air BnB-ers, even though it's also not allowed according to their own lease! Lastly, the people running the office Wednesday-Sunday, who work under this management company, are all collectively the least helpful people to ask for accomplishing any task. Needed to pay rent? They lost the check. Needed to get in the building because your keys aren't working? Not their problem. Needed mail keys? They lost them. Did you need maintenance? I've lived in Media Towers 1 now for a year and a week. The first 10 months of living here were a nightmare. For some reason, it seemed like the manager was so picky about every little thing and constantly blaming me for things that weren't my fault. Example: they found clay cat litter spilled on the floor in the trash room. Yes, I was blamed but guess what? My cats use pellets. I felt so uncomfortable in my own home, that I started looking for apartments two months before my lease was up. I was thinking of every single possible situation that could get me out of my lease early. Then something changed. It was quiet, I wasn't being nagged, I didn't feel like I was living with my mother anymore. I didn't feel like someone was constantly watching me. The difference? New Management! Thomas Mckelvy became the building manager. He is kind and understanding. I suddenly felt like this could be home. I even rescinded my letter to vacate and decided to sign another lease for at least a year. We have a package concierge service that I was always curious about, but previous management told me there wasn't anything available. Even after I had 3 Christmas Trees stolen. As soon as Thomas noticed I had a few packages by the mailboxes, he suggested I sign up for package concierge. And it turned out nothing was on reserve, every tenant had the opportunity to use it. Kristie in the office has been super sweet this entire time. She's always very helpful and knowledgeable. Although Ryan is new, he seems like a good egg. I think we finally have a great staff that works together. I can't forget Norberto! He has done maintenance for me on several occasions. He is very polite, upbeat, friendly, and has been able to fix everything quickly. Even when I see him in the halls, he's very nice to chat with for a few seconds. Overall, this really is a great place to live. I have never even seen one bug in my apartment. That's amazing considering the roach problems other buildings have. The neighbors are friendly and walls must be sound proof. Plus, you CANNOT beat the location. (I'm obsessed with the rooftop pool.) I feel like I can finally relax, now that I've finally moved here. I've dealt with some pretty awful property management companies here in Los Angeles, but I can honestly say I am so happy I found this place. During my initial search, Both Ryan and Thom were amazing in keeping in touch, both letting me call, text, email at any time with questions or concerns. Moving during a pandemic would have been more difficult, but everyone did their best to accommodate the situation. The major reason I give this place 5 stars is the sense of community I feel here. Everyone is super respectful, be that management and neighbors. Now that I've lived here for nearly a month, I realize my past residences have made me feel like a prisoner in my own home, with general notices and rules. Here, there is a general feeling of respect and trust. When I first moved in and had a small maintenance issue, they took care of it right away. Besides that, the community areas are spotless. Someone here everyday just to clean and disinfect the common areas, so I definitely feel safe during this current Covid situation. I love love LOVE it here! The search for a good place took me months of sear. More often than not, the way things were represented online didn't match once you were there in person. Not the case at Media Towers, I called Ryan C and he was able to show me a few units that same afternoon, and I decided after seeing the unit that I wanted to apply. These apartments are beautiful and very well up kept!! (The price shocked me in a good way.) Ryan's great communication and fast action made the whole process so easy and we were approved the following day!! Everyone in the leasing office is great, Kathleen and I think Christine or christy? Were both super sweet as well. I love my new home, and everyone I've met in the building so far has been so friendly. So excited to plant roots here! **Update as of 4/26 Still Winning: I put in a request for my A/C to be fixed and in less than an hour, 2 people from the office had gotten back to me, Ryan and Christine, and my AC was fixed in less than an hour by maintenance... I've lived here for three years. Every year they jack up rent every year. This past year they have made remodels to the hallways, elevator, lobby and currently rooftop, thus they are hiking my rent up $130. I went in to ask why a rental increase of more than a hundred bucks, they say it's what the market price is currently. Okay, does that market price take into consideration that I've been complaining about piss smell in the 5th floor stairwell that's been there since I've moved in? I've told them to rip up the ugly old stairwell carpet but they refused. Whenever it gets hot outside, it smells like Skid Row. People swim in the pool, they are too lazy to go back to their apartment when they have to piss so they go to the stairwell instead and empty themselves. Then this past weekend I went to do laundry and guess what? People have been pissing in there too. Six months ago we had major rain and the roof leaked, they still haven't patched the ceiling by my apartment. It's an eye sore every time I come and go. Two years ago, the vinyl floors they put in were so poorly made and installed that when I move furniture around, it ripped up the vinyl. I told them about it and they said that they would make a note of it in my lease and that I wouldn't be responsible for it, however they weren't going to replace it while I was still renting the unit. Also whenever I put in a work order, I have to hound them for them to get someone in here to get someone to come. Eventually it gets done if it's not an emergency. When the pool is open, people bring their dogs up there and the dogs pee around the planters, I'm sure the pee then makes its way into the pool. There is a health code that prohibits dogs by pools but people ignore it, along with the no smoking sign. I have a parking neighbor that's a major asshole. He has three cars that he shuffles around and parks illegally in the parking structure, management is okay with this. When I water my plants, and water drips on his car he gets pissed off and yells. He washes his cars like twice a week. It's a semi open parking structure mind you, so dust, rain and the elements gets on his car regardless. I have another neighbor who's dog barks all damn day. Like seriously whenever he's not home. It drives me nuts. There was another neighbor running an air bnb out of here, so I'm constantly seeing strangers come in and out. I think they finally evicted him, thank God. Then there's a dog owner that picks up the poop but is too lazy to walk a few more steps to the garbage, so he throws the bags of poop in the stairwell and lets it pile up. Not sure if he eventually takes it to the garbage or if the building custodian picks them up. Why am I still living here? I hate moving. Location is good for me. I'm on the top floor with a great view of the hills. Update: since I've posted this review, management has taken action to resolve all the situations above. Two things remain: the stairwell and my flooring. They've put some kind of chemical to mask the smell, but now it just smells like a cat lady's house filled with potpourri. I've given up on my floors. I swear if they try to charge me when I move out, I'm going to raise hell. I think the current price for a remodeled one bedroom here is between $2-2.3k. A little steep if you check the area. My unit isn't remodeled. read more

This is has been one of the best apartment living experiences I've ever had... and I've lived all around the world. The hallways and lobbies are always kept extremely clean, the tenants are quiet and there is a good mix of young professionals, families, and long-term tenants. The location can't be beat if you commute by car (as most people in Los Angeles do)... we're right next to the 101... ...And the staff is extremely professional organized and pleasant when every I need to reach out on anything. The maintenance staff is efficient and they get their work done well. I personally renewed my lease recently because I have had an amazing experience living here and I highly suggest anyone moving here if they want to have a nice, clean, quiet lifestyle while style being in the middle of the action in the Hollywood neighborhood. Amid the pandemic and the summer heatwave, my boyfriend and I were dreading the prospect of a move (but knew it was necessary and needed). We looked at a few places but were thoroughly charmed by Media Towers. It's been just under a month since we moved and we keep saying to each other how great of a decision we made. Overall I still cannot recommend moving in the Media Towers 2 apartments building or signing a lease for DECRON properties management. BEWARE someone living or working @ Media Tower 2 apartment building with access to the mail boxes attempted to steal my roommate's identity and applied for a Capital One credit card. Luckily before approving the credit card, Capital One was able to get hold of my roommate... BEWARE moving in Media Tower 1 or 2 MAY RESULT IN MAIL THEFT & IDENTITY THEFT! The manager Kathleen I is far from being the most pleasant manager to deal with. She is cold and out to get as much money as she can out of you. No compromising, no sympathy, she will have no problem reversing/reverting a credit given by her office to not have to honor it. Despite leaving the apartment spotless, surrendering the keys 4 days earlier and paying in full ($2,320) DECRON fee for breaking the lease, Kathleen could not honor a $280 credit given by her office for surrendering the keys earlier than supposed to. Like I have said NO KINDNESS or HONOR. My other big issue with renting from DECRON properties management is their RUB utilities charges for water, sewer and trash. Since each apartments are not sub metered for those utilities DECRON to pass on the cost of those utilities onto the tenants uses a RUB system of allocation that is known not only not to be conserving water but also unfair because based on an approximation of your usage of water not actually on your real consumption. Those utilities used to be included in your rent and the responsibility of the owner or landlord. Now if the landlord wants to pass those on to tenants, should the rent be adjusted down and not up?! RUB had been outlawed in some states because it's prone to too many mistakes, abuses and quiet unreliable. Unfortunately CA allows RUB and management company like DECRON loves it since it's a whole new way to charge tenants even more money... again for absolutely no living improvement. Media Towers 2 apartments are over-priced and far from luxurious unless you find the noise and air pollution of the proximity of the 101 freeway upscale living. read more

Any building can have amenities like a pool or washing machines or an elevator. That's not what makes a building. What makes it are the people in the community. And the owners of this building do not care about you. At all. Unless you're late on rent. Then they reach out. This company has no respect for its tenants. No courtesy whatsoever. Water gets turned off without warning- when they're working at a different apartment. We didn't have hot water for two weeks and they made no effort to make it right. No recompense or discount or anything. Elevators and washing machines break. Which happens anywhere. The management is rude, one of the employees extremely inappropriate Not worth it for the high price. They have no loyalty to the tenants and would sell you out for a higher-priced paying person. CAUTION! DO NOT MOVE HERE!! A few things they to be aware of. The common areas aren't kept. The carpets in the halls smell like trash and urine. When they are "cleaned" they smell worse somehow. It's often that tenants allow their pets to urinate and defecate there. No one cleans it up. The elevators are a mess. Not only are they used as trash depositories by tenants but they are in MAJOR need of cleaning and upgrading. None of these things are ever addresses by management. The pool is never clean. If you like salt...swim in it. Management - In the 15 months that I lived there, they have changed managers 3 times. Interesting to say the least since the managers take up residence on the premises. So (having lived next door to the manager's apartment) it was interesting to have someone moving in and out every few months. Clearly they didn't think much of the place either...or the company managing the place. The garage - ALWAYS being broken into. Seemed like every month there was a notice being sent to residents to report any suspicious people since someone's car had been broken into the night before. Occasionally they had a "security guard" on the property at night. Key word OCCASIONALLY. Clearly not on the right occasions since, again, there were monthly break-ins. You get one parking space for a 1bdrm and 2 for a 2bdrm. If you're like most, a 1bdrm for 2 people or 2 bedroom for up to 4 people means you need more than the provided number of parking spaces. They tell you when you're leasing that you can pay for an additional space but...THERE AREN'T ANY! Get use to getting up at 6am to move your car from the restricted school parking on the street or walking since you'll likely have to park several block away...or tickets! The parking authority here is on time, every day to leave you a nice $25 gift for being any number of SECONDS past the restricted time. Property management is NEVER available. They will NOT return your calls/emails. Luckily I never needed much. I was pretty low maintenance but if I ever did, like - to pick up a package from the leasing office or get a garage door opener, it took weeks to catch them in the office. I should also mention that the need to pick up deliveries in the leasing office came at the hands of more THEFT in the buildings. People's mail was being stolen since the mailboxes weren't covered for months and any packages that were left at residents' doors were being 5 finger discounted by whomever felt the desire. Interestingly enough, I had a package sent there. Had confirmation that it was delivered to the leasing office - I have still never received my package. They claim they didn't have it. They never spray for bugs. The amount of insects I witnessed crawling around during my stay was unacceptable. I called about this during my stay and asked if they could have someone spray. Needless to say, I never got a returned call for that request either. The deposit - It's not a deposit. You will NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. Not because you are dirty or have damaged the property, but because the lease says so. Your deposit will be used for them to clean your apartment (whether you do or not), and to paint the apartment (whether you do or not). I found this to be insane considering that your "deposit" in normal apartment communities is used to protect the owners against damage, not to turn the apartment to make it ready for the next tenant. So just know that, YOU will be paying for them to ready the apartment for the next resident. The good thing is...you're in walking distance of the stars, food, and some minor shopping and the apartments are fairly spacious. Oh, and the salty rooftop pool has a good view of the Hollywood sign. Yippee!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Wife and I moved here early this year and signed a one-year lease. Kathleen the manager got us hooked up with a nice apartment - great lady. Here are the highlights: 1) Great location. Walking distance to tons of great restaurants and stores/shops/bars. Also can't beat the price to live in Hollywood. 2) The building stays clean. Every once in awhile some a$$hole will leave trash laying around but the janitor guy usually rolls through quickly and cleans house. 3) We've had a couple maintenance requests - and they are always answered in a timely manner. 4) Staff is super friendly and easy to deal with. 5) I've had one complaint about noisy neighbors and it was dealt with immediately. Haven't had a problem since. Will be renewing in the new year. Would recommend this place for sure. read more

I've lived in the building for 8 years now and I've seen managers come and go. Javier Lazo is by far the best yet. He is on top of things and available if needed. The maintenance staff is also wonderful. They make every effort to keep the building in shape and clean. If there are any issues with my apartment, they are dealt with in a professional manner and handled quickly. I appreciate that! There is a well maintained rooftop pool with spectacular 360 degree views of LA. Each floor has its own laundry room and there is a stocked vending machine in the lobby with snacks and soda. There is even a dry cleaning delivery service in the building! Every apartment comes with gated parking space and the garage is monitored by closed circuit cameras. The location can't be beat. You are just off the 101 freeway, so therefore you can get to just about anywhere you need to go. And you are a short walk to the Metro station at Hollywood/Western. I'm a person who enjoys walking, so if you do too, you can walk to heart of Hollywood in under 30 minutes. You are also blocks away from Ralph's supermarket, CVS, Walgreen's, Home Depot and a brand new Target is being built around the corner on Sunset. As with any large apartment building, there will always be some less than respectful tenants. Thankfully, there aren't that many. Most folks are friendly and will actually say hello in the hallways. read more

Media Towers has been my home for the last two years. I've loved my experience here, all the staff is super friendly and helpful. Specially Kathleen! She is beyond amazing. You're at the perfect location between Hollywood and sunset . Plus easy access to the freeway on ramp and off ramp. Being on the rooftop pool you feel like a movie star with a 360 view-Hollywood sign, Griffith observatory, and downtown skyline. Walking distance to amazing cafes, restaurants, and bars. read more

My boyfriend and I have been here for a year now and we love it! The exterior is well maintained, neighbors are cool and the staff is very helpful. We've enjoyed our experience with the manager, Kelsey. He's very easygoing, hard working and responsive. The pool on the roof is really cool. Great for a good time. Considering our time here, it has been pleasant. Despite the occasionally grumpy neighbors, we love living here. DO NOT MOVE HERE! As a former resident of 2+ years, I can backup just about every negative review written about Media Towers. The rent is far over-priced for this polished-turd of an apartment building. This is place is so bad, I signed up for Yelp just to share my horror with you. Overall, I paid $1900 for a 1 bdrm in a mild slum. I was relocating at the time and was is in a pinch, when I found this place. My loathing of the moving process is what kept me there beyond my lease terms. The rooftop pool & view are the only things this place has to offer. - While a resident at Media Towers, my girlfriend and I were a victim of a home invasion! I woke up one night to find a man rummaging through my apartment! He ran off with the girlfriend's purse(IDs, Credit Cards, Etc.) AND it turns out that the management had caught this guy roaming around the building several times in the past! They even knew where he hung out during the day! - In addition to that, a crack head and her trashy relatives lived below us... screaming, trying to kill each other and banging on walls at pretty much all hours day & night. They also smoked so much cigarettes that it permeated our apartment!! We called the cops several times, complained to the management often and they were never evicted! - I once had to rescue a young homeless girl that was screaming from a power closet in the garage, while another homeless junky was trying to shoot her up with drugs! I ran to the office to warn them first and the girl working at the desk didn't do a damned thing! Didnt even bother to call the cops! - There were several times and several consecutive days where my apartment went without hot water! They are constantly working on the plumbing. - The apartments are constantly hot for some reason, which causes you to run the A/C more often than usual, leading to increased utility bills. - Due to the "RUB" format on the utilities, there is no meter and as a result, they gouge you on your bills. I paid for $40 one month and the next month while away on business the entire month(not home at all), I came back to a $90 utility bill! I left nothing on, used no water... WTF? - Several foreign residents and students rent their places out/Air BNB often and much. Some times their unknown visitors/sub-letters(?) throw parties and trash the place... pulling fire alarms, Etc. Last, noting all the issues I had with this place-you would think they would cut me a break when I decided to move within two weeks. I sent them a professional notice, siting all the issues I had with them in the past and asked for some leeway, when I found my new house and needed to move before the typical 30-days. I was out and my apartment was left clean, on the last day of the month. They performed no walk-through and the manager(Kelsey) said he was sure my apartment was clean, as he saw me packing on my move day. Months later and I now have a collections agency stating I owe $800+ to Media Towers! No bill/notice was mailed to me, no call or email from Media Towers at all - I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THEY STILL WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME - NEVER GIVEN A CHANCE TO PAY! Now I have a legal mess to deal with. You have been warned. read more

My fiancé and I lived here for 2.5 years. Before that we were in the Bay Area and NYC, so safe to say we've lived in many an apartment building. The maintenance staff were amazing and so was the management team. Maintenance requests were answered quickly with great communication. We mostly interacted with Kathleen, Kristie and Tre and they were personable, authentic and responsive. Obviously, with this building being right next to the freeway and in East Hollywood there were a few issues with transient folks but staff were super helpful. Coming from NYC, we appreciated how staff were straightforward- there was no BS! Very clean property with beautiful rooftop and small pool and a 360 degree view of DTLA and the Hollywood Hills. Griffith Park is a quick drive up the hill and Silverlake, Los Feliz and DTLA a 10-15 minute drive or 30+ min walk. Overall, this was one of the best management team experiences we've had living in a building. read more

I've lived here for the past 5yrs and unfortunately in the last 3, things have gone south. Décor Properties spikes the rent up drastically each of the last 3 years. Which I get, business is business, but on the other hand. Nothing is done to bring the value up of the complex itself. Elevators rarely are in working order, the walls inside had the tile all ripped off but never restored. The hallway carpet are stained terribly and smell of who knows what. People are assigned to my parking spot so when I came back from business after a few months. I am unable to move my car. It took me about 4 days to finally find who was parked in my spot. I put in a maintenance request to have a drawer fixed in my kitchen. Nothing. Never heard from any one. My drawer is still broken. Paint chipping off walls & cabinets due to the mass amounts of layers. When I moved in at first, I had a pet. No problem. no body ever said anything. But now, they want to start charging a fee monthly for having pets now. If you raise the rent on units, the amenities should be right there with it. This place has failed on all accounts. Great there's a roof top pool. But that is about all they have going for them. read more

PRO: Rooftop view CONS: The worst apartment complex ever!! I cannot wait until my lease is up. If I did not mind losing extra money or the negative stigma that comes along with breaking a lease agreement, I would be out of here immediately! Roaches are all through the units and spiders webs infest stairways. The hallways smell like you are walking through a zoo. The building is cheaply made so you can hear EVERYTHING the neighbors do, especially if you have someone living above you. When anyone walks around, it sounds like they are stomping. The elevators old and often out of service. They are ran down with the tiles peeled off the walls. They do not do any renovation to the units other than a ceiling fan or a light fixture here and there. They simply brush multiple layers of paint over eveything; the walls, cabinets, bathroom tiles, etc. FYI, even if you do not damage the walls, they will charge you at least $184 to paint if you do not live in the unit for more than 18 months. So basically, if you live there for 10 days, they are still going to charge you the fee as if the "freshely painted" walls need to be repainted again. Robbery!! Oh, and some of the electrical outlets don't even work. And the management is THE WORST!! They are super lazy. You have to beg for weeks at a time for them to do the simplest things. Things that are standard managerial responsibilities. Ex: Setup your account so you have the option to pay your rent online. Decron Properties is a money hungry, penny pinching company. We are moving out this month after living here two years. We were hoping to stay longer, but they have raised rent considerably. The first year they raised it 4%, but this year they are raising it 9%. It was a deal when we moved in for a spacious two bedroom, but now their rent is as expensive as other buildings in the area, without the luxurious upgrades or amenities to justify it. We will miss our apartment manager the most. Albert Salgado has been one of the best apartment managers we have had living in Los Angeles for over 12 years. He is very friendly and made our apartment building such a pleasure to live in. In previous buildings, our enjoyment of amenities such as pool and lobby areas were less than desirable due to the negligence and disrespect of other tenants. This is common in Hollywood. However, Albert does such a good job keeping our building clean and hospitable. His expedient responses to all of our maintenance requests and inquiries has been remarkable. His staff is very friendly as well. Albert is the kind of manager who supported and volunteered at numerous neighborhood block party BBQ's throughout last summer in order to develop a sense of community in our neighborhood. Throughout the last two years, Albert and his family have become our friends. That is what good management used to be like. But as big management companies continue to expand across Hollywood, it becomes more and more like a machine. They are less interested in developing long-term relationships with their tenants and more concerned with charging as much as possible for as little as possible. Time to move. read more

Virginia and I have lived in Media Towers I Apartment Building for one year and 3 months. Being a former general contractor I am very aware that building maintenance is to be expected, especially in an apartment complex building that is not brand new. The good thing about our stay here is, whenever we called for assistance, Javier has been quick to return calls and attend to the problems promptly. For the past 7 months however, we have had an ongoing issue with our power bill coming in at an alarming nearly $500.00+ every 2 month period. From the time this began, although I alerted the office, and kept in touch with Javier regularly about the ongoing problem, I was told that company procedure required (because the power bills are in each individual renters name), that I was the one who had to be responsible to deal with LADWP. After spending several hours on hold on the phone with LADWP, and having to personally request an investigation from them on the competency of their equipment (meters and etc.),- on two separate occasions... (one occasion of which I had to personally be present to assist the field Service investigator - which incidentally took in excess of 30 days for them to send someone out - each of 2 separate times, from the time the request was made - over the course of a 4-5 month time period), only to find that the problem was not their meters nor equipment.- both times. After all this,(nearly 6 months)... procedure allowed them to go to the next step and they had an electrician check to see if there was a problem with something in wiring or in the power panel and found nothing. Finally they had someone come and check the heat pump and found the problem which was a switch on the heat pump frozen in the on position using all that continual draw of power; although we had stopped using any Air conditioning or heat after the first jump in our bill many months before. Our first 4 months of water and power bill was right at u$100.00 per each 2 month period. We turned on our air for the first time and our next 2 month bill jumped to $170.00 and then to $174.00 for one more 2 month period, After we received the first $170.00 billing I spoke to the office about our increase and stopped using our air-conditioning and only used a new fan on really hot evenings. The only other appliances running in our apartment was our 1 year old refrigerator and some lights for a few hours in the evenings and our computers which we turned off, as well as the lights - when not in use. Since that time, our 2 month bills have jumped to in excess of $500.00 each 2 month period. Being a senior and on a lower fixed income, we have made a standard averaged-out payment of just over $100.00 per each 2 month period to LADWP, We were unable and unwilling to pay for the now approximately $2200.00 in excess charges. Being recently threatened with shut off notices by LADWP, last week, I spoke with Albert and told him that I had already spoken with a lawyer who was standing by waiting on my word to step in if this issue wasn't resolved immediately. In my opinion, and as a former General Contractor, a company as large as Decron properties should have resolved this problem very quickly with a simple standard operating procedures checklist. Instead it has gone on way to long and cost me a lot of time, effort and frustration that should have been their responsibility from the beginning. In my opinion, however, both Albert and Javier have been very helpful and diligent to do all they can to get this issue resolved. Since their own heat-pump man shared with me personally and showed me the faulty part that was frozen in the on position, which he had removed from the heat pump, I expect Decron Properties to take full responsibility for the overuse of Power and the costs thereof. FYI, to date, this company has always treated us very fairly,with honor and respect. I'm sure that as always, they will once again take the high road and do the right thing. The signed lease agreement includes a provision for when a lease is not renewed, it simply reverts to a month-to-month situation. You, however, chose for some arbitrary, unknown (possibly illegal) reason to not only end our lease prematurely, but to actively take steps to throw us out of our home. All the while trying to present a friendly, personable attitude, when in reality you end up coming across fake, two-faced, and dishonest. This is certainly not how you were treated by me. read more

This is a great place to live! Been here about 2 years now and don't really wanna leave. Nice and spacious apartment with a balcony and rooftop pool. The maintenance crew here is also very nice and friendly, always around working and making sure everything is clean and the way it should be! The property manager Albert is also very nice! He always makes sure to stay on top of any issues in the building and he seems to really care if you're happy here or not.. And trust me i've had some psycho landlords since living in LA, and he is great! Overall i think this is a really great building! Not looking to move away just yet! read more
