These events fill quickly through their online events calendar form, so we were glad to have the opportunity to grab some spots. I was disappointed to see that not everyone who signed up attended because participation is so highly sought after. The event itself was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the two hours of painting and hope to finish later with our own paints at home as it wasn't quite enough time to tackle the whole painting. This branch is not my favorite of the public library for a couple of reasons. 1) there is a lot of blank space in the library; it's not very cosy or inviting. 2) Parking is a BEAR. Until the city as a whole becomes more walkable/metro accessible, it's unreasonable to have a library with paid parking. It makes it much more difficult to choose to frequent this branch.

Books 5/5- WIDE selection with almost everything accessible. The city and county have merged their databases and i have rarely come across a book they don't have. You can place holds online and they will email you once ready. I pick this location as my home base because I frequent the CWE area often but you can pickup at any location. AND- they have broad selection of ebooks and audiobooks as well. All accessible through then libby app on your phone/ipad and even your kindle This location 3/5- parking is very inconvenient although they have a couple spots for pickup. This is also a loud location and often has disruptions so not the best place to study or settle down. Other 5/5- the staff is phenomenal, so kind. I have used their notary services several times and they are so helpful. Make sure to call ahead for the notary!

Whether by car or Metrolink, it's literally a straight line out and back. Every time I'm here, it reminds me why this stretch has such a loyal following, because it's one of those places where you can land with no plan at all and still end up having a great time by just letting the street carry you along. The food scene here is the big draw, with a mix of global options that all seem to go together. From shawarma to ramen to tacos and yes, diner comfort food without breaking stride. The storefronts flip from quirky to arty and classic that keeps the walk interesting. Mini golf and bowling, too! Two unique things that make the Loop uniquely the Loop are the Planet Walk and the Saint Louis Walk of Fame. The Planet Walk is a scale model of the Solar System that stretches a half mile or so along Delmar mapping out the distances between the planets. And alongside this, the Walk of Fame runs along with stars honoring famous Saint Louisians (Saint Louisans?) set into the sidewalk. It's fun to spot names you know and names that are new to you. Chuck Berry. Maya Angelou. Tennessee Williams. Nelly. The Loop is named for the Loop Trolley. It launched in 2018, hit some operational and funding issues, and ended service in 2023. I'm bummed that I missed the opportunity to ride it. Maybe it returns one day? But even without the Trolley, the Loop is one long ribbon of activity. Accessible, diverse and consistently entertaining. It delivers exactly what you want from a neighborhood. [Review 440 of 2026 - 509 in Missouri - 25623 overall]

If you are coming in quickly to pick something up, or if you come to sit and relax and work for a while, the environment is super calming and spacious. There are always available spaces in the parking lot or nearby on the side streets. The Kingshighway location is super convenient to get to, and it's just a short walk away from Tower Grove Park, making for the perfect excuse to grab a new book and go sit outside for a while. The most recent time I came in, they had a featured section right in front of books for Women's History Month, which I love. They also have a rotating selection of "staff picks" as well as new releases and novels. I find myself wanting to branch out with something new every time I go in. The inventory is online and is updated often. There's an option to put items on hold and pick them up at your preferred location, making for a fast and easy in-and-out if you don't have time to walk around the library. Thanks to all the STLPL locations for being welcoming and awesome!

Review: Disney on Ice Feb 2026 I love live entertainment!…read moreThis event was for the kiddos... and of course myself & grandma too! (any reason to be a big kid again)! Tickets: I drove downtown to the box office to save on the extra convenient fees that are automatically added if purchased online through ticket master. Service: This time around, they were two employees working. One was a lady, I wanted to wait for the older guy who was already helping someone, as he seemed very helpful in giving her insights. The lady decided to open up her window and called for the next customer. She was EXTREMELY RUDE! Almost turned me away! I ended up telling her that I will take some time to look on the website myself because she seemed as though she didn't want to be of help, and was rushing me to make a decision (no one was waiting behind me). I quickly browse the web and decided to wait for the older gentleman as I first intended to. I am glad I did. He was VERY Helpful! We got seats very close to the ice for very low cost! He also offered his recommendations! Event: We opted for the 11AM event, large turn out, but mostly longer children as to be expected for that time during school hours. Lots of lighting & stage effects being utilized which I love. However, this maybe not safe for someone who struggles with seizure disorders. Concession Stands: As you can imagine, plenty of vendors to get ALL of your money with all the Disney on Ice Sovereign. Food: We opted for quick bites and cotton candies. Plenty of junk food to choose from! Parking: Limited street parking available. Near by lots available for a fee. Closer ones cost more. We opted for one diagonal the venue for $20, I believe it was card only. Also, the metro link has a stop right next to the venue's location! I've opted for that option before to cut cost. Recommendations: Kiddos enjoyed it and so did we! Definitely worth checking a show out!

The best hockey stadium in the world. Only fitting for the best fans in the world. I can say this. Hockey fans are so much better and lively than baseball fans. St Louis is known as a baseball city. They may want to rethink that. Customer service was wonderful all night. From the time I walked in until the time I left the building. They did an amazing job to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The nachos were good, but not great. The chips and cheese were very good. The meat was okay, but something was off with the meat in my opinion. It wasn't bad. It might have been the texture for me. The jalapeños were great. The portion size was huge. The refillable soda was huge. I thought I was going to get a refill. I couldn't even finish my Mellow Yellow soda. The only disappointing part it was the last game of the season. I enjoyed everything tremendously.

The first stop was the smash burger that comes with kettle chips. Delicious! I asked for extra pickles and they gave them to me. I love that the burgers are cooked right where customers can see. Next I tried the bratwurst with onions, peppers and dijon mustard. The dijon mustard ruined the taste. I love mustard and whatever they had was not good quality. The brat and peppers were good. The chicken wings from Chicken Scratch were ok! The dry rub had a nice flavor but that creamy, dill dipping sauce?! I COULD DRINK IT!!! I also purchased a cutwater and a hot chocolate. I didn't expect much from the hot chocolate but it was soooo good & piping hot! Overall, the food options offered here are guaranteed to satisfy everyone. They have your usual chicken tenders and fries all the way to cheesesteaks, tacos, bbq, ice cream, biscuits...you can find something to eat here!
