Like many others residing in the Bay Area, I found myself in need of a window replacement due to some enterprising person in Emeryville. I didn't even bother with the cops or the insurance company. I went to grab a Starbucks and headed back home to research auto glass replacement when a couple of guys saw the window from the parking lot and struck up a conversation. One mentioned the same thing happened to him and gave me Chai's card. He had rave reviews but for some reason, I tried a few other places before I called Chai. All of them either weren't available or didn't have the window in stock and I really needed it done now. Finally I called Chai, he had the window, was available later that day and while he wasn't the cheapest, he wasn't the most expensive either. He came, got the job done in less than hour and did a really excellent job. The same thing happened to me a few years ago in Oakland with a different car and the guy I used that time did a terrible job. He left glass in the window that you could hear every time you shut it, and rolled down the window. Chai made sure I could hear a totally empty door and a perfectly smooth window track.
