I've only been here when someone I knew had a birthday or something going on, so naturally it's been packed all of those times with the exception of once during the week. The vibe is cool, pretty chill staff and customers. Drinks aren't so expensive but not super cheap either. Beer seems to be the love of the customers, but then there's me with my shots and AMF requests. For some reason, most of the times I've come, my beer was warm. Same for my shots. Idk if that's normal or maybe it's supposed to make us drunk faster so we can leave, but I found that odd here. I have not seen food here but there is a restaurant next door if you're hungry and 7-11 across the street. Decent parking - street and private parking in the back shared with another bar next door. Wheelchair accessible but I don't know how anyone in a wheelchair can get around that many people safely without screaming at them to move. read more

The experience I had at Manny's tonight 04/14/19 (Saturday) with the bartender Valeri, as well as her coworker (don't remember his name) was very disrespectful and upsetting. To the owner and employees that work Friday nights, I've had an incredible experience at your establishment on Friday nights in the past, I LOVE MANNY'S!! I tell all my friends to go here and every weekend I request we stop in! Based on my past experience of Friday nights; FIVE STARS! My friends and I frequent this bar almost every Friday night and have an incredible, uplifting time. We always leave happy and satisfied. We spend good money and have great memories here. I was raised working at a family SLC Mom&Pop service industry business in the avenues where I work to this day, and I cannot imagine treating a customer with the disrespect that I was treated with tonight by both of the employees of Saturday night's shift (04/14/19) (we were there between 11pm-1am) I requested the lights be turned down so my friends and I could really get in to the karaoke, after mentioning the lights twice I was rudely told to never come back and my friends were told to not give me drinks because I was too drunk (I was not) It pains me to write this and to give low stars, but disrespect should not be tolerated. I will not return and I will tell my friends to not go here as long as Valeri is serving. If you want a friendly nice experience go Friday nights only. It's a wonderful time. If you are into Kareoke fun, this is not for you. Would give it 0 stars if I could, but Yelp does not have the option. My group specificaly chose this place as it is ADVERTISED as Fridays at 8 pm for Kareoke. I even called ahead to make sure. They said on the phone 8 or 8:30. Well the advertisement says 8, and it says it inside the bar EVERYWHERE. The DJ finally shows up at 10 pm, 2 hours late, and is totally sloshed. Sets up the mic and then goes and pounds back a few shots and a giant beer. In between songs she is pounding back nore drinks and did not follow through on the request I made. I went back and I tipped her and even asked if it was enough to move my song. My two friends signed up right after me, thinking we could all sing and leave since she spent our whole night waiting. 8 sings later, and getting tipped too, she still played two more songs before mine. The setup is very bizarre, you can't see the words to the songs unless you stand with your back facing everyone. The bar was not busy and yet the service was extremely slow. The bartender asked for my id along with those who came with me. Then two people walked in and said hi to the bartender and that they knew a friend of hers. They asked if she would need to see their ID, and she said no. Just poured them drinks quickly, while we were there with next to no people and no one helping us to get a drink. The fries were good, but my "large" order had about 9 fries. So if you are REALLY hungry, you might want to go somewhere else since the menu is super limited. This place is not worth it. I will not be going back and I will not be recommending this to anyone. read more

This bar is my favorite. Blade and Valeri, (and Van) are the reasons I come back. They promote an environment of friendliness, and if you aren't going to promote that as well, they have NO problem kicking you out! Which I love! They always remember my name, and smile when I walk in. It's my home-bar for sure! Poker and karaoke, cheap drinks and friendly staff! If they weren't nice to you, you probably deserve it honestly. And every bartender there is willing to try and make me new drinks they've never heard of, so i have a lot of fun here. BUT! The building itself isn't great, it's divey, the selection is a little limited, and the sound system isn't the best, but this dive has a special place in my heart. read more

I thought this place was about as low as it gets, until I went next door to Willie's. I then realized a very poignant life lesson. No matter how low you get, there is always lower. But until I find something worse than Willie's, Manny's next door neighbor is a 1 star location. This place is filled, wait, it's not filled with anything except for sadness. But within this location you may find 7 or 8 very weathered, smelly old men. They probably are not to be trusted, and I bet they make the most gentle loving, and caring husbands. And an even bigger plus is the damn cheap drink prices. Including many shots that they have created themselves. They do have a kitchen where they can make you some simple bar food. Dive bar but I heart dive bars so this place is great. It's full of awesome people that are way friendly and great to talk to. The drink prices are fantastic and you can't beat them.
