This place is a mixed bag of very bad customer service and a few star employees. The woman who seems to orchestrate this place has poor customer service skills. Difficult to get someone to pick up your phone call or return your call to make an appt. I've had two facials here by two different women over the years and they are better than average. I've had maybe a little more than half a dozen massages here over the years and it really comes down to who you get and your personal preference. Deep tissue will run you more, $15-$25, depending if you purchase a Groupon or not. The older Russian woman seems to be the owner and constantly trying to upsell me at each visit. No smile, just a command for you to sit in the waiting room. Nothing seems genuine or hospitable about this place. I needed a good spa day. Ive been working long hours, and the need for pampering was at an all time high. I found a great deal on Groupon for a full massage with a hand and foot massage as an added bonus. Lets just say always read the Yelp reviews, and take what you read to heart. The Groupon reviews were all 5 stars. Color me perplexed. I called to schedule the appointment, and found them to be booked out for over six weeks. The woman that I spoke to was gracious and booked the appointment past the expiration date of the Groupon. An added bonus is that they are open on Sundays. That alone made me thrilled to try this new to me place. There was a hope that they would have called to confirm the appointment, but didnt. Okay, I did. Not a biggie, but it was odd for the salon goer. We arrived, and the place was empty. We stood there waiting, until a woman appeared from the back of the salon. She checked us in, and had us fill out the obligatory paperwork. I was a tad put out when she immediately stated that if we wanted to share a room, it would cost an additional $25.00, and before we could answer, one of us was whisked away to a room. Alrighty then. As it turned out, it was the "couples" room. I was shown into one of the private rooms. The hallway was barely lit, and there were orange cones along the way. You know the ones you see for highway and street repair? I attempted a picture, and was asked to not take any. The man that showed me to my room, explained to get undressed, and that he would be back. Now, most of the massage tables that I have been on, has a hole where you place your face when you're tummy down. This did. However, it was covered with linen. Consequently, breathing during the massage was not relaxing. One of the things that I immediately noticed, spas always have this wonderful aroma. Its the smell that relaxes you just by being there. This place didnt have that scent or any scent in the air. The oils and lotions used were fragrance free. I know many people prefer that, but there are usually both options given. The oil felt cheap and greasy. When the massage started ( i asked for the gentleman's name but he ignored my question) he poked my body. My lower back had just started bothering me, and I was there specifically to have relief for that pain. When i started to show him with my hand where I was having pain, I was told to not move, and that he didnt want me to show him. Alrighty then. The massage was actually pretty good. He applied pressure and massage techniques, offered some pretty good advice while massaging me. I thought things were looking up. It wasnt the best massage that I have ever had, but more like a deep body rub. I could feel my muscles relaxing, my mind relaxing, and then it was time to turn over. The man smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I kept turning my head, and he would readjust me. Just ewwwww. I wished I had been face down again. The rest of the massage was mediocre. The hand/foot massage was his rubbing my feet and hands with a scrub and wiping it off. Yay for that. My hand soap at home does the same exact thing. This is where he made the big push. He stated that I needed to come back at least twice a month to see him, because that was the only way that he would work out the kinks and knots in my body. Ummm, you didnt do it this time, but okay. He told me it was time to get dressed, and he vanished. I found my way to the front, and the masseuse was waiting for me at the cash register. He clearly was making sure that I left him a tip. Fine. Would I go back? No. Should you go? I wouldnt send my family. Why two stars? Because one is too low, and three is too high. The place was clean, and they were fairly friendly for the limited service that was received. Was it great or even good customer service? No. Do I need a real massage? Yes. There are much better places in and around town. Just because I used a Groupon, doesnt mean it was inexpensive. It wasnt. It just cost less than it would have otherwise. I've always seen this place and wanted to try it. I recently saw they were in Groupon so I decided to give them a try. I bought it for myself for a Mother's Day gift. Every time I try to call to make an appointment it goes to a voicemail with no calls back. Finally I called and someone answered. I told them I needed to make an appointment, and she asked if I'm using a Groupon so I said yes. She told me there was one available the next day at noon but I told her I'm going to be out of town & asked if there's anything available the following day. She said "no. Tomorrow at noon or none". I purchased the Groupon. $160 for two people: 60 minute Swedish + FULL body scrub + Foot Soak + Scalp Massage. I read the reviews on Groupon, they had 4 stars, then I went on Yelp and man, it was night and day! they had horrid reviews, many of them from Groupon goers. I was skeptical about what I had just purchased but I thought I'd give them a try anyway. Many of the reviews mentioned a rude Russian woman and how it was difficult to book an appt with them. A few days after I had purchased the Groupon, I tried to call to make an appt for 3 hours! They opened at 10am so I made sure to call around 10:30, give them some time to settle in. Each time I called the line sounded as if someone had picked up and hung up. I was irritated to say the least, I looked to see if I could message anyone on Yelp but NOPE. So I decided to drive 20 mins out of my way to go in person to check it out. I was SUPER disappointed and was on the verge of exchanging my Groupon deal for another massage place due to this rude woman, she was giving a customer a pedicure, I walked in and she turns to look at me but continues on with her conversation in Russian with her customer. After several minutes of waiting around, it was apparent I was not going to be helped so I asked the lady (short blonde hair, late 30s or early 40s) if I could get some assistance, she retorted with "I can't help you, you just missed her" I told her I've been trying to get through for hours and the line was off. She came at me with (in a rude tone) "well I don't know about that, she was here all day and picks up every call." I decided to give this place ONE FINAL chance, I called the next day and someone answered, I was able to make an appt for the coming Saturday. Saturday came around: An older woman was at the front, very friendly (sigh of relief). We completed some first time customer forms, we walked to the very back of the parlor. I was actually surprised at how far and long the place stretched. We were led into a dimly lit room, a bit chilly, but they had hot tea and some chocolates on a platter between the two chairs, she didn't let me know about tea being available - only reason why I knew was because I had yelped photos from other users. Changed into robes, put our belongings in our own bins The foot soak was about 15 mins, water with rose petals in it. We laid down on the table, I had a male masseuse which I didn't mind. The owner woman was my fiances masseuse. The massage had minimal to NO pressure at all, felt like when you rub lotion on your body. I had to ask the nice man to increase his pressure, his words "oh but you a lady" and chuckled. The "FULL" body scrub only consisted of my hands, back, and feet. Thats it. Scalp massage...I give myself a better head rub. Anyway, I've been to asian massage parlors where the pressure is too strong, and now i've experienced this place that gave a minimal pressure massage. I wish there was a nice in-between. Overall, won't be back but this experience started poorly but finished decently. They also have signs that say to tip generously. read more

I also bought the massage/facial combination Groupon, and had much the same negative experience as others had. It took the seven standard ballet movements to get an appointment. Once I got there,I was not offered water or anything upon arrival, which isn't a deal-killer for me. The esthetician, Homa (I only know how to spell her name because she gave me her card), gave me the same sales pitch she apparently gives to all Groupon customers -- the Groupon is only for a basic facial of cleansing and moisturizing, which you could do at home. She talked me into the glycolic peel for $35 extra. she went on to say that it was a 2-minute peel, but in her 25 years of experience, it is better to leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes or more. I'm not certain, but I think I got 4-5 minutes. It tingled and burned a little. Then I pointed out that one side was starting to itch. Shortly after she rinsed my face from a basin, not running water. She then applied moisturizer and said I was done. I told her my face still burned on the right and she said it may for a little while. Now, I had only had one other facial, but it was much different. Homa did no exfoliation (I guess that's what the peel did), no toner, no special eye products. She did, however, tell be about the special products she uses that they give away to Hollywood stars at the Oscars. I left a 20% tip on the full market rate of the facial (that's just how I am, I guess), I was then put in a bathrobe and slippers to be taken over to the massage room. Oh, and since Homa was leaving, I had to pay the extra $35 before the massage. It was pretty awkward. I didn't know until I got into the massage room and looked in a mirror that the right side of my face had a chemical burn. Homa came in, examined it, and told me it would go down, it might just scab a little. Seriously?! I usually don't do this, but I'm posting a picture of my burned face. Trust me, it's not acne - I'm 52 years old. It's a chemical burn and it still hurts 36 hours later. Oh, and the massage is as others said, positively no pressure, and her rubbing was way too fast with way too much oil. It was more like a an oil rubdown. Also, she got a little too low on my chest as well, especially since she didn't kneed my neck or shoulders at all, just rubbed my chest with oil. Odd... Anyway, I won't be back. read more

I had a facial right after but was asked to get in my robe then go back to the waiting room with my basket of clothes. This was awkward and I had to wait another 20 minutes for my Esticiain. The Esticiain was quite good but he felt it necessary to apologize over and over again and complain about the scheduling issues. I would consider returning to see the Esticiain for a facial because she did a good job overall and have me some good advice about my skin. I didn't have any problem reaching the receptionist to book an appointment, as others have noted and they even fit me in that same afternoon. My therapist Marina was great. She used the prefect amount of pressure and checked in and adjusted to my needs throughout the massage. She incorporated warm towels to wipe the excess massage oil and during the exfoliation treatment. I will definitely be returning. read more

My amazing boyfriend bought a couples package from Groupon as a Mother's Day present. When he called to make the appt he was informed that the groupon did not apply on Mother's Day (this was not stated on Groupon) and made an appt for 2 weeks out. We show up to the appt and was greeted (not really) by an extremely rude woman at the counter. She tells us that she does not have us down for an appt and we can not be accommodated. Instead of trying to solve the solution she becomes confrontational and tells us "get your money back from Groupon", rolls her eyes and proceeds to answer the phone and turn her back. At no point were we rude or disrespectful to her. We did receive our money back from Groupon because there was no way we get a massage after that experience. It took us two days and HOURS to get her the full package. The language barrier from everyone we spoke to was a huge issue as we tried to solve the numerous scheduling issues they created and we spoke with at least five different people who would look at us with confusion and disappear just so another equally confused person could appear and give us the exact same experience. Really clean place. The owner was super nice and greeted us when we walked in. We had ordered the Groupon couples massage. We went into the waiting area to fill out some forms, it had a nice atmosphere to it. After that we we're walked to our massage room. They did our foot soak, provided us tea which was so good! And then massage time! Both my wife and I loved it, the head massage was great but the body scrub was amazing. Our hands, feet and back feel so smooth! We will be going back again next month. I called about 5 times and finally got through to a receptionist. Although it sounded like English is her second language, I was able to tell her I wanted to use my Groupon for a facial and massage in one visit. Since I have a flexible schedule, she gave me options to which days the esthetician and massage therapist was in and which days I would have to use the facial and massage sessions separately. After we agreed on a day I was very skeptical as to how good will be the facial and massage. It felt like a hassle to make an appointment and all the yelp reviews I came across about Chakras. Just be patient with the company and they will get back to you. Fast forward the appoitment day, I arrived and no one was waiting at the receptionist desk. After 3 minutes a man with an accent came out and asked about my appointment time. He told me he couldn't find my appointment or name so I gave him my Groupon print out and that helped out a lot, in fact he found my time slot. I was to fill out 2 questionnaire sheets, one for the facial and the other the massage. Since it was an oil Swedish massage I didn't want to pay a $25 extra for the deep tissue. I know the massage therapist did read my questionnaire because she avoided all areas I didn't want massaged. Overall the Swedish massage was how it should be, oily and lots of circular motion. I did not want to take my bra off but the woman told me it will help with the therapy since she will be doing continuous strokes and gliding with oil. I can see how some women feel uncomfortable when their therapist ask adamantly to remove undergarments because there were times I felt "exposed." Anyways, the hand n foot scrub was good as was the hot towel afterwards for removing excess oils/scrub. The therapist was very friendly and nice. She knew exactly want treatments to use on my combination skin and my face felt toned after the facial. I was given a gift certificate & I decided to use it for a 1 hour Swedish massage and a facial. I had no problem making an appointment like others have had. Once I arrived, I walked into a very empty reception area. Someone finally came out, took my gift certificate and walked me through a bead curtain door and told me to sit on a couch & fill out paperwork. I knew immediately that the language barrier was going to be tough, but was hoping that she would not be my massage therapist. A few minutes went by and she told me to follow her, told me to change into a robe and slippers & put the clothes I had on into a basket and then go back into the bead curtain room. I have to say that it was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable sitting on this couch with only a robe on & I contemplated leaving, but decided to suck it up and see what happens. Shortly after, I was given hot tea and a bowl of Halloween chocolate candy bars. Then was brought a tub of warm water with rose petals to soak my feet in. At this point I had already been here for about 45 minutes. I am a very to the point type of person and really didn't have all day to spend at this place. After the foot bath, the same lady brought me into the massage room and I learned that she would be my masseuse. Great. She told me to lay face down and she would return. I left my underwear on as I feel uncomfortable being completely naked. Most places have no problems with this and respect that. After about 15 minutes, she returned and took off the entire sheet to my thighs. I've always had the therapists have the utmost respect with being discreet and found it to be odd. Next, she proceeded to pull my underwear down exposing my whole butt. I then got an hour massage ONLY face down. It was the hardest, roughest massage I've ever experienced. Her stomach kept hitting the top of my head as she ran her hands all the way down my back and butt. It was so awkward and very uncomfortable. I could barely function yesterday and feel INJURED. My entire back feels incredibly hot as it is healing. Two days after the massage and I am still hobbling around. My back and neck hurt to the touch. This is ridiculous. After, I had a facial. The lady was nice, but there weren't any extractions at all, which I found to be incredibly weird. It was an hour of her just applying different creams and masks over and over again. I never do reviews, but this was such a bad experience. It's taken almost 3 months to book an appointment here to use a Groupon I received as a Mother's Day gift. I finally am able to book an appointment on their website as no one answers the phone and even receive my reservation number confirming my appointment. I call the day before the appointment to confirm I'm all set, no one answers per usual so I leave a message. I actually get a call back on the same day and surprised it was only an hour after I left the message. The lady on the phone states I have no appointment and if I'm using a Groupon I can't book appointments on their website I can only call. She also states the website is only for regular customers. How do you become a regular customer if you can't get an appointment with them?! I hope the person who bought me the Groupon can get a refund. read more

Have never used the spa, so I don't know what the actual services are like, but after today's conversation with the "young lady" that answered the phone, I will never be a customer. My daughter bought me a gift certificate through groupon for my birthday, when I called to make the appointment, I was asked how I was going to pay. When i responded that I had a groupon the unprofessional receptionist responded without putting me on hold or covering the phone so that her customer could not hear the disgust in her voice snorted "another groupon." Unfortunately what this person does not seem to understand is that my daughter has a limited budget and was trying to do something nice for her mother. I don't have a limited budget, and when I find a service I like I am a loyal customer and I tip well. Terrible customer service, if you don't want to take groupons, either limit the number you issue or stop using the service. I really don't understand why this place has such a low rating... I have been coming here for about three years and I have to say the price and service can't be beat! I found them through Groupon but they will give the same offer if you ask for it (at the time of this post $25 for an hour long basic facial or basic massage-upgrade options available as well for very reasonable prices). Because I had previously, and honestly since, tried massage parlors through Groupon I was apprehensive but I didn't need to be about this place. Sometimes it can be slightly to get an appointment because they book up on Groupon offers but every masseuse I have had has been professional, used just the right amount of pressure to relax while also getting out the kinks but not hurting me, and MOST the time even if there is a reason they have to start late they still give you a full hour (as opposed to places like Massage Envy who always start late and end early while charging you more than double!) You can already guess why this place has awful reviews. You most likely got suckered into the Groupon deal trying to save some money and thinking you'll get a great massage by some amazing masseuse. But if you haven't figured it out already by reading all the reviews, that is not the case at all. Instead, you're treated to a "body rub" by an elderly Russian lady that uses really cheap body oil that smells like wet socks. And trust me, you can't wash off that scent or the oil for at least a few days. Your massage session is literally a body rub. She puts her hands on and wipes left to right. When you ask her why it's so light and that most other massages you've had they at least use some sort of pressure or rub, she'll tell you that you need to upgrade to the "deep tissue" massage that costs $70 an hour. But that's not the worst part. It's all the craziness that comes out of her mouth while she's waxing you on and off like she's at a carwash. She'll tell you about her personal problems, about the smelly old guy that just left before you, or how awful the boss is and how she hates her job. I go to get massages to relax and relieve some of my work pressures and muscle aches, not to play psychiatrist to my masseuse. She should be paying me to listen to her whine. Worst massage ever. I want to start by saying 2 stars because I thought the spa itself was relaxing atmospherically. I have been a massage therapist myself for about 10 years, so I know what good service is. Unfortunately, I also know how day spa workers can become lazy, and cut corners, especially when less money earned is involved because of a coupon. This bothers me though, the whole purpose is to get people in the door and WANT to come back for full-price services next time. Day Spas are a luxury expense for people, so if you don't provide a sense of luxury, then whats the point? My husband and I got the groupon for the couples hour massage, body scrub and hour facials. We were also expecting to have a room together for our treatments. We don't do things like this hardly ever, so the time spent together would have been appreciated. My massage was ok. The groupon says swedish massage, so I knew that the pressure wouldn't be much, which I was totally ok with. BUT my massage was face-down only. I was expecting a full body, with my back, back of legs, front of legs, FEET (no foot massage at all, which left me feeling like a part of me was neglected so I wasn't relaxed after that), arms, and neck. The clock in the room didn't work so I had no idea how to gauge my time. Also, once she put me in the room, I felt like it was 10 minutes before she returned to start my massage. My experience has been, the shorter time the better. When I would leave the room for my client to get situated, I would just go wash my hands thoroughly, and then wait outside the door until I heard the client get on the table. A light knock on the door to let them know I was coming in, and they could communicate if they are ready or not. Then the body scrub...which I felt like was just slathered on my skin, no scrubbing action was happening. After she was done, I was told to wrap myself up in the thin sheet, and walk (naked) to the shower room. I found that so awkward!! My therapist was nice, but I don't think she ever introduced herself. Now, after I showered, its time for my facial. I love facials. And I was soooo looking forward to an hour facial. Wouldn't you think extractions would be included in an hour facial? NOPE! Apparently not! So basically my face got slathered with cleansers and creams for about 45 mins. I just don't see the point in that, I could do that at home, with the same products even! My hope is that the managers and owners will read this and start changing the way things are done. Maybe the Sunday and evening shifts (based on other reviews on here) need a little pick me up. Or, maybe stop running the groupon all together if workers don't want to perform the services provided. At the very least, change the wording on the groupon to make it more of a package deal, instead of calling it a couples massage. read more

Ugh. Bought a Groupon for a 60 minute facial and glove treatment. Got neither. I waited 5 minutes for anyone to come to the front desk. Then the front desk attendant was rude and brusque. Definitely not an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. Then, after getting on the bed and ready for the treatment, I got a 20 minute sales pitch where the therapist explained that the Groupon basically covered a fancy facial cleanse only (not a quote-on-quote "facial") and that I had to pay $35 or $62 for the full experience. By that point I just wanted to relax and enjoy and so I went with a $35 package (in addition to what I already paid for with the Groupon) and that included a glycolic peel. The therapist was older, with jerky hand motions that were not relaxing at all, she also had bad breath that I had to endure when she hovered over me. The warm towels she used to clean my face smelled musty and caused me to want to run home and take a shower to get the stale smell off me. After the front desk wait and all the sales pitch stuff, the treatment itself probably only lasted 40 minutes and there was NO glove treatment. . I guess I could have mentioned that to them but, honestly, I just wanted to get out of there, go home and take a shower. read more

Like some of the other reviewers here I purchased a Groupon. I chose the 1 hour prenatal massage. I arrive 10 min early and am looked at like "what do you want". So I say i'm there for my prental massage, hand them my groupon certificate and they throw me in the side room with a clipboard and tell me to fill out the form. I do, answering the questions like what kind of pressure I like, problem areas, etc. 10 min after my appointment time the semi-rude front desk person says the girl who does prental is running behind. No apology, doesn't offer me water or anything, and no indication of when they might get around to my massage. Another 5 minutes or so pass and another girl comes in and finally apologizes and brings me some tea. The therapist finally pops in, 20 min after my massage time and escorts me to my room. I've never had a prenatal massage but have been told that traditionally tables for prenatal massages have a hole in the middle where your belly can go so you can relax face down. At 38 weeks preggers, I was SO looking forward to that. This table had nothing odf the sort and she just gave me a wedge to stick under my belly. As other reviewers had stated- a slight language barrier made it hard to discern how she wanted me positioned. She obviously never read the form of my problem areas or how I like my pressure during massages as she seemed to do the exact opposite. One problem are- as with most pregnant women- was my low back/sciatica. She completely ignored this area. Experienced prenatal massage therapist? I'm guessing not. As I see in other reviews, I was also shorted about 10 min on my massage. EVEN with all the shortcomings I still tipped 18% on the full value of the massage (not the groupon rate) and when I handed it to her she frowned. I wanted to take it back! This is by far the weirdest spa I've been to. I had purchased a facial, scrub and massage through Living Social, and this was my first experience with this place. I should have been clued in to the weirdness when I called to schedule the appointment, and the woman answered simply, "Hello" as if I had called someones personal line. You walk in the front door, and you immediately have to dodge the huge furniture that lies just inside. I'm willing to bet this place wouldn't pass any fire inspection, much less would it be handicapped accessible as they indicate. I'm not disabled myself, but I would have been pretty irritated if I had brought someone with a disability to this building. The spa is decorated in an odd mix of opulent furniture that looks inspired by India, weird geisha dolls, and marble furniture. All of it is beautiful, but it's oddly collected. I checked in with the front desk, and was handed a clip board of paperwork to fill out. Like the other reviewers, I'm pretty certain they didn't read it. They sat me in the relaxation room, and I was given some tea to sip on while I waited a half hour past my appointed time to be called back. There was a bowl of mini Snickers to snack on while I waited, but the place was weird enough that I didn't take any. While I waited, they brought a basket to put my things in, along with my clothes and they asked me to change into a robe and slippers, then return to the,"relaxation" room. I've gotta say it's weird to sit in a common room with nothing on but a robe. I was eventually lead to the massage room, which had two bottles of Suave lotion on display. The first thing the lady asked was, "So what, is your problem?" I'm pretty sure she was asking if I had any pain or tension, but it adds to the oddness of this place. The massage was only okay, and quite honestly somewhat creepy. I'm used to my important parts remaining covered, but was exposed during parts of the massage. I was too embarrassed to bring it up, thinking they took the less conservative, European approach. The massage itself was awkwardly close to the goods and included between the girls... Maybe I'm being uptight, but I've had a good number of massages and never had a close call like that. When she finished the body scrub, I was told to take the sheet around me and take a shower. I did feel dirty, so I agreed. Next was the facial, which was more rubbing of cheap lotion, some witch hazel, and a face mask that allowed the gal a good 15 minute break. She left bits of the mask on my face that I washed off before I left. Very few extractions during this facial. I think my Mom did better popping my pimples as a teen ager. All in all, this is a relaxing place but I won't be back because the services just weren't professional. I can't help but wonder if this is a front for, er, some other type of business. read more

First I will say I have only been here for a pedicure. I don't think they do a whole lot of pedis, seems like mostly spa treatments. I have driven by this place a lot and always wanted to check it out. I wanted to try a spa out for a pedi rather than just a cheap nail salon, and I wanted a place that had the extra callus treatment that they use to help get rid of calluses because I was pregnant and couldn't do much with my feet at the time. First I will say they were very nice about allowing me to bring my son since my sitter backed out at the last minute and they were very nice in general throughout the process. I went with a friend and we were both early. They have a nice waiting room and served tea and had some candy. They have a small room with 2 pedicure chairs and the foot baths were big glass bowls which I liked because obviously they wash and sanitize every time, and it didn't bother me that it didn't swirl the water around much. However, it also didn't keep the water very warm and 1/4 of the way into it, the water was cool (and cold by the end). We were the 1st pedi's of the day (and likely they do them few and far between). It was obvious that one of the technicians was not there and I could hear they were trying to get someone else to come in. They had called me while I was on my way to make sure I was still coming, so obviously they were short the 2nd tech but didn't tell me that. I think they called in a friend of the main technician or someone who worked there doing something else. We waited for 20 min after our appt time (so about 30 min total). The main tech was great, but the 2nd tech didn't speak English at all and I am not convinced she was actually a nail technician at all. I've had enough pedicures to know what to expect, and she did things in the total wrong order. The whole process didn't flow like it normally should and she had no idea what to do when it came to grooming my toes, cleaning up the cuticle area, etc. She also only did the scrub on one of my legs, and did the massage for 10 min on one side and only 2 on the other side. By the time this all happened, I just wanted to be done with it. Instead of a nice relaxing pampering session, it was a painful and awkward experience. When I asked about the callus treatment, the main tech said they don't charge extra for it like their website says, they just spend the time needed to remove them (however did not use the solution I expected). This resulted in my technician scrubbing until I had to pull away, and the outside of my toe splitting open and bleeding the next day. I would not go here for a pedicure again, and now I'm kind of ruined for them altogether. read more

I'm sad writing this review as the last time I bought a Groupon for this place everything worked out great and my massage was awesome (I had a woman). Unfortunately I bought 2 Groupons, one for my boyfriend and one for my mom, and I had to be refunded for both. I have been calling for almost 6 weeks and have left 3 voicemails and also called all throughout the day - morning, afternoon, night...NOTHING! No return of my call, no answer throughout the day (even during prime business hours). I even drove by to make sure they're open and they were. I bought the Groupon one hour massage for $27. Unfortunately, I didn't read the Yelp comments before my purchase. After I purchased the deal, I made an appointment, she was booked a week out, so I booked for the following week. I called at least five times and there was no answer, no big deal. Everyday on my drive home I pass the spa, so I stopped by to book further appointments. A tall, Russian, older woman came to the front desk. I asked if I can book future appts and she said, "no, you need to call." "Well I called and there was no answer," I replied. As she turned to walk away she said, "bye I have to go to another client." My jaw dropped and I walked out the door. I thought about getting a refund, but I'm not going to do that. I will keep my appointment and request her. I'm not going to hide behind a computer and type nasty reviews. Oh that's not right. She will know that this is not how to treat customers. I am not from Roseville however I received a hot stone couples massage groupon as a gift and wanted to take advantage of it asap! I made a call to see if they had any openings and luckily, they were able to squeeze me in for the next day (5 stars for being so accommodating!) To me, the atmosphere of a business (ESPECIALLY a spa) is REALLY important and unfortunately... this place failed big time in my book. Walking in, we were briefly greeted then immediately escorted into a waiting area to get relaxed and comfortable until our room was ready however .. i .. was .. not .. comfortable .. or ... relaxed ... at .. all.. Let me put it this way.. as I was sitting down, all I could stare at were the wine glasses sitting on top of dusty shelves- yes.. dusty shelves. They were kind enough to bring us tea and a bowl full of snickers ("keeping it classy") but only because we had to wait 30 minutes for our massage to begin (1 star for that). We finally got into our room and I will admit, the ambiance in the room was more "spa like" than outside (I was nervous about that!). Our massages were A-OKAY (not the best I've had but not the worst). The masseuse who worked on me unfortunately forgot to do my shoulders and head, so that was a bummer. Yes, it was nice to get a massage on such short notice however if you are looking for that divine spa experience, Chakras is not your place. read more

After reading all the reviews and waiting to write mine in hopes that I would eventually get an appointment and not have to write a shitty review, I decided--well hell I only have 4 days till I can't use it anyways, might as well! If I could give no stars id be happier with my review. I received a gift card for my birthday from my girls friends for a 1 hour facial, 1 hour full body with hand and foot exfoliation. A YEAR AGO!!!! I've tried and tried and tried to make an appointment to use this gift card and no one EVER ANSWERS the phone!!!!! When I did however get a hold of someone (male) he was very short and snappy with me. Told him I had a gift card to use and that my husband wanted to come along and have a massage together. He told me no!!! We don't do that only one person at a time. I specially asked for him to schedule me for a Sunday or Monday preferably due to my schedule (small business owner myself) and I live in Woodland. He had nothing until after my gift card was expired. How convenient. Hoping they see this review and realize that when the phone rings they need to answer it (hire a receptionist--if your that busy to answer the phones) to make appointments to make money to have better reviews. Unless this place decides to send their employees to get some kind of additional training, SKIP IT! The price is right, but I'm currently sitting with an aching neck and a less than average facial. As someone who has experienced more than one professional massage, I suspect a few employees do not have appropriate licensing. I would rate this place lower. Not only did they cancel my wife's appointment, they had the audacity to lie about it and rudely hung up on me! Worst customer service anywhere and that includes an army Troop Medical Clinic! The woman spoke broken English and tried to say my wife cancelled when the woman messaged my wife to reschedule. My wife didn't cancel. Now they refuse to pick up the phone. BEWARE! Do NOT buy any groupon promotions or come to this facility! I have been trying to avoid leaving a review for this spa because I didn't want to think about how horrible my experience was My massage almost felt like I was getting molested. I was scared since I was locked inside that room with that man so I didn't say a word but the massage was completely inappropriate. After an hour of laying there naked and vulnerable, I was relieved that it was over and I was able to leave but before he left the room, he "complimented" my body in the most inappropriate ways possible. I will never be able to get a massage from a stranger ever again. That's how horrible I felt leaving this place. read more

I am sitting in the waiting room writing this review because it is now a half hour past my appointment time. I am here to get a massage and facial. I have been here once before for a facial and loved it. But, I didn't have to wait so long last time. Massage: really light touch. A little too many "close calls" with sensitive areas. Over all it was relaxing. But, I would not re-book. Facial: I had to skip my facial due to them not allowing enough time. Also, they told me that it isn't a full facial and did not believe me when I said I got one last time. read more

I'm very happy that the customer below me had a great experience but I was there at the same time and had the complete opposite experience. This was the second time that I made the appointment specifically with Tatiana but she was double booked. I arrived right before the prenatal massage customer but when I informed them that I have a Groupon their while tone with me changed and the person requested that I don't purchase Groupons anymore. Then Tatiana told me that she has to do the prenatal message because she's the one who is certified. I understand that but i should have been informed prior to my appointment that She was not going to be available. I have had a good experience at Chakras in the past but if you purchase a groupon you are treated completely differently. My other complaint is that I had to call multiple times and most of the time there was no answer. Once I left a message with my information and I my call was never returned. I suggest that they stop running a Groupon if they hate it so much. read more
