Wow this place really has gone downhill. Me and my family have stayed here sporadically ovrr the past 10 ish years and we have always liked it for the spacious rooms, great quiet and central location and reasonably price. Having been away for 2 years we returned to find a remarkable decline in overall service, with some shockingly careless errors made by staff. *the rooftop pool and bar are still very nice and has a great view. When we arrived around 10:30-11 pm on a Friday we checked in and quickly moved the car down to the garage as there wasn't anyone to take it down for us. Inside the garage, We stopped at the valet "stop here" in the garage and the valet glanced then ignored me, I walked over to him and he said "what? Do you need something?" I told him I was checking in, gave him the name and room number and he seemed genuinely put out by someone asking them to park a car (no self park option) Our room was nice, spacious and clean as always,, the rest of the night was uneventful. I got a call on my cell from the front desk around midnight and called back to find another grumpy employee who when I said "I'm returning a call from this number" told me " we have dozens of rooms how should I know who called you?" I clarified I was returnig their call and they said oh we didn't call. Whatever. That morning as we were checking out we were presented a balance of $75 to cover the $75 nightly parking fee, we handed them a card to put it on and confirmed with them. This card is just for the incidentals, correct? The staff member confirmed that and handed us a printed receipt showing that we had been charged 75 or $78 including tax for our Parking. For background, we prepaid this booking, using our capital one travel portal a month in advance. This was confirmed at check in, and we had a credit for the room too which somehow didn't cover the parking. Just after we got in the car and we're getting on the highway I saw a charge come through for our full room rate for that night, 540 something dollars, on the card we authorized only for parking. We immediately called the hotel told them what had happened, that we had been charged twice. The staff member on the phone (who I believe was the same one who double charged us) was incredibly rude and tried to say it was not a pre paid reservation, we authorized the use of the card, blah blah blah. She put us on hold in the middle of us trying to explain what was going on, after some time we hung up. We called both credit card companies to confirm and we still had two charges totalling over $1100 for one night, so we called the hotel back and got through with a manager who admitted it was their fault, said she would talk to the girl who made the double charge and gave us an inaccurate receipt, but offered no remedy other than "we process the cards at three, it should fall off in the next 48-72 hours" It's sad to see a once nice and pleasant hotel fall down due to poor training and wildly unenthusiastic staff. Hopefully they fix these issues, but despite 10+ stays we will never stay here again. The pool and pool bar are still very nice and seem to be the only well run things in this hotel (other than housekeeping. read more

Stayed here for a night and had a great experience. We got the deluxe suite at a wedding discount rate for about $330, which includes amenity fees, taxes and some kind of city worker protection fee. The room was spacious and the bed was sooooo comfortable! Chamberlain treasures fur babies. Their pet fee is $150 and welcome up to two dogs at 50 lbs. They provide a bed, water bowl and toy as well. The rooftop pool is a little small, but heated and has a fantastic view of the city. They have a good amount of chairs and cabanas to lounge on and there is a bartender on deck. Supplying spf sunblock and aloe vera at the pool entrance is a nice touch! Wish we were there around 5pm to enjoy the complimentary happy hour, but we had a wedding to attend. No ice machines on the floors; call room service and they'll happily bring you some. Valet parking is a hefty $65 a night, but they notify guests in advance and they'll happily bring allowing ins and outs. I was surprised to see they earned a Michelin star in 2024 for their service. It was good, but not outstanding. I do appreciate that they don't rush you out at checkout though. I would return if I got the wedding discount rate again! read more

we recently stayed at the chamberlain in weho and overall had a really lovely experience! the moment we walked in, the lobby decor caught my eye--absolutely beautiful. we were upgraded to the residential suite (thanks costco!) and i was so pleasantly surprised. the suite itself was spacious and modern with a separate living room and kitchenette area. everything felt very clean, and having a tv in both the living and sleeping areas was super convenient. honestly, the bed and bedding were so comfortable i could've spent all day in them. the bath amenities were also a highlight--they smelled amazing and were really moisturizing. the customer service was wonderful from start to finish. everyone from the front desk to the bellboys and valets was friendly and accommodating. they helped us receive a package during our stay and always had our car ready each morning for our adventures. the location is perfect too--close enough to the sunset strip and great restaurants, but far enough from downtown LA that it felt like a nice escape. the rooftop pool was warm with lovely views, though it did get a bit chilly at night when we visited. a few small things to note: while the suite was spacious, the bathroom felt quite small for what i expected from a suite. there was absolutely no view from our suite, just a tall grey wall. housekeeping only comes once per stay, so during our four days we didn't have service. if you need fresh towels or your bins emptied, you have to request it from the front desk. when someone did come to empty our bins, they were on the phone the entire time, which felt a little off. also, the pool hours seemed inconsistent--posted as closing at 10:30 pm, but staff asked us to leave at 10:00 pm even after we clarified. the complimentary water, coffee, and supplies also weren't replenished daily since housekeeping doesn't come by. despite those minor hiccups, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back! read more

This is a cute little hotel that is on a quiet, suburb-like street. It is still close to all the action and yet feels like an escape. The rooms are well-decorated, equipped and definitely big. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Everything is a bit over-priced but all tasted delicious. Evan was our server for breakfast and was really great. I forgot our night servers name but he was super friendly too. The gym was great - it had everything! My only complaint is the breakfast was not included for guests. read more

We had a spooktacular time during our stay for the Halloween Carnaval. Room 423 is definitely haunted! After bedtime, hubby distinctly heard the living room glass table rattle, like someone was walking by. I brought my REM pod and it went off more than 10 times during our whole entire stay. Not a mean spirit but only a friendly spirit just wanting to let its presence be known. Although, camera-shy, every time we tried to capture some paranormal action, as fast as we pulled out our phones to hit record, it vanished! Cheers to the spirits that be! Let's talk about the pool - 33 degrees, tiny, no one goes in it. Let's talk about the service - 1-2 hours per drink/food order on a slow day. Terribly bad. Also they make you use a physical phone to call in orders lol. I mean How about the cost? -raging ripoff, $200+ for the cabana for only 4 and $350 for a round of drinks and food... a big F U Food quality? Meh. Not bad not exceptional Customer service? These people think they're running the Beverly Hills hotel with how they act. Pretentious but motel 6 quality. I'm from nearby and this could easily be called the dumpster fire of West Hollywood. I just finished battling the night table in order to charge my phone. It's the little things. The USB did not work but the electricity Edison input right next to it did work. However, there's no actual space to stick your phone charger in there because it is so narrow between the bedside and the wall that the night table takes up 99% of the room and there is, nowhere to move the bed and nowhere to move the night table in order to make your charger fits and no other option to connect it anywhere else, that works. There's plenty of plugs that don't work, including the small light that's built into the headboard of the bed. Otherwise, the room is quite lovely, and very clean and does not smell bad at all. But I believe that the value is not good. The prices are extremely high for what you get. There's no bar or anything in the hotel. Dinner closes at nine and the menu is not available online on their website anywhere. When I called to ask what the menu was before I booked, a person at the restaurant said it should be on the website and if it's not then there's nothing he can do other than read the menu to me over the phone. He did not seem interested in doing that. I'm vegetarian so, it does make a difference, and I do check these things before I book. I actually live in the neighborhood and I am hosting my father and I am not feeling very well, I don't want to get him sick and this is the closest hotel to my actual apartment. The pool was small and the sitting area was nice but not awesome. the staff was very nice in general but at night it seems like there's one person that does everything if he is busy, there's no one to pick up the phone. Last thing is, there's no bathtub, it's a shower with not an amazing showerhead. The best thing about it is the size of the room. read more

if i could give 0 stars i would. the employees are so entitled and really rude. the manager of this hotel could not give a crap about the spider bite and the spider that was in my hotel room. there was multiple spiders but i was only able to capture a photo of one. it's honestly crazy how they could not issue a refund, offer a change of room etc. they just don't care, place is dirty, food was horrible. after multiple attempts of trying to give them the benefit of the doubt to make things right they just couldn't at all. i do NOT recommend this place and i will be talking to my lawyers about this issue. where there is ONE spider there is obviously MORE!!!!!!!!! read more

The parking garage also seemed secure. A friend at the time had booked a night here and I shared cost. She knew the area a lot better than I did and had more friends in the area. We were assigned a nice room, had people over for snacks and drinks, mostly a girls' night in. We watched the big screen, played music, and hung out. Yup, a decidedly un-Hollywood low-key experience, i.e. drug and vice-free event. Nice to see the Chamberlain remains a strong option for people wanting a cosier peaceful stay in West Hollywood, without all the high beam fuss, flash and ultra exorbitant pricing of a huge hotel chain. read more

I stayed here while I was in LA before I *moved* to LA. I had gotten covid, so I had to spend the night quarantined somewhere other than the house at which I was supposed to be staying. The hotel met my standards for cleanliness and comfort and even though most of 2022 was mainly just a whirlwind of "I am in the process of moving from Connecticut to California," I distinctly remember the Chamberlain West Hollywood leaving an overall positive impression. I especially remember loving the black and white decor - monochromatic aesthetics will always win my heart. I stayed at the Chamberlain for two nights. I thought it would be a great place to stay as a break during a work trip. Its location is on a quiet street in West Hollywood, California. While the staff are friendly and the accommodations are nice, the hotel room itself was very noisy. Every night (and day), I could hear the people next door to me, on both sides of my room. They were carrying on a regular conversation, not yelling or excited at all, just a conversation. I could also hear people in the hallway as well as footsteps from my neighbor on the floor above. Not only was this bothersome, but it made me feel extremely self conscious, was my tv too loud? Were my footsteps too heavy for the neighbor below to hear? Sorry Chamberlain, I will not be back. read more

It was like an Instagram filter. I'm buying one for my house. The hotel location is walking distance to Santa Monica Blvd and an easy walk to the Sunset Strip. Friendly staff. Very clean. I think I'll stay here whenever I'm in town-it was that good. The suite we had was spacious, the rooftop, while small, had great views and service and great cabanas and the food and drinks were good. But best of all, the service! This place is ghetto, and not to what you expect. The only nice individuals are valet. This place use yo be in apartment complex. I missed it so many times because I didn't think, it would look like that, be in the ghetto, and classless. When checkin in, I had to wait for the girl to help me. She was about 5 feet away from the desk. When I asked if she was going to help me she was annoyed. She was on her phone. Also the girl didn't program my card to access and open the gate with my car. She was explaining about resorts fees, which this is by far resort is not. She then proceeded they don't do housekeeping unless I call them. This place doesn't have valet 24 hours and no one is there. I had to go back at night and the guy said the day people never program the card that work during the day and he daily has to deal with this issues and pick up the mess There was a couple behind me doing the same thing as me. They two mentioned that they felt duped to stay and said they tried to checkout because it wasn't to their expectations. Front desk refused. There's no etiquette or professionalism from the individuals. She was explaining about resorts fees, which this is by far resort is not. She then proceeded they don't do housekeeping unless I call them. Note that there's no housekeeping direct line on the phone. When calling to get extra towels I called 7 times and no one answered. I then tried for room service no answer, then valet, same thing. It took so much time to get help. One thing that was annoying there's no ice to get. Don't order in, room service. The food was so cold and and breakfast potatoes half frozen. When I was in the elevator it was worse than a sauna! Going to my room was very hot! No AC. I was so mad that this place was a catfish. The bathroom smell like urine. Was told if I would upgrade I'd see the beautiful city. Which was false! My balcony was looking straight other apartments and homeless tents. Don't go by the pictures. If you like the Four Seasons, Hyatt and other resorts stay away from this hotel. Worse place I've ever stayed. read more

Valet parking added to your bill when checking out, $15 a night I believe... room service hours are not the best, stops at 6pm. Bar and restaurant close early too, 4pm.. Very thin walls we could hear what/whoever was above us all night which was a huge downfall. Lovely boutique hotel with all the best finishing touches from the plush emerald velvet couches in the lobby with happy hour each night to the perfectly manicured rooms. My friend completely spoiled me for a weekend here and it was everything I could have hoped for and more! We had a sweet suite with sky light windows and sliding door for the restroom. I loved all the natural light available in the room - it really felt regal and comfortable all at the same time. Usually I feel claustrophobic in small hotels but this one makes great use of its spaces! The roof deck pool was a nice added bonus to the already relaxing atmosphere. There is plenty of space and an area to change and use the restroom off to the side. When we first arrived there was only one elevator in service. No big deal, it just took a while sometimes. The next day the only working elevator was not working. The man working at valet thought it was hilarious and didn't brother telling us until we asked him if it was broken after 10 minutes of waiting in front of him. Eventually the elevator that was out of service when we arrived was working. Kind of strange how they only repair one at a time? A few hours later though, that one was broken again. We ended up having to carry our luggage to our car when it was time to check out. The stairs are done in a way where you do 3 flights on one end of the hotel and then cross the lobby and take another two flights to ground floor and then around the corner outside of the sidewalk to get to Valet. It's very round-about and confusing. I did some reading online and found a review from 12 years ago titled "The Great Elevator Joke". Seems like this is an issue they don't plan on addressing in the near future. read more

We were visiting with family that was staying at the hotel, while spending some time at the pool we were served drinks by a very sweet girl named Tara. She was so helpful with not only information about dining at the hotel, but also restaurants and attractions that were nearby. I normally avoid the LA area because everyone seems to treat you poorly, Tara was a welcome exception. I will absolutely recommend the Chamberlain to family and friends that are visiting the area. read more

Horrendous. If you're considering buying a pool pass to enjoy a day here, PASS ON IT. If you like waiting 2 hours to receive a $21 breakfast burrito with a side of bad attitude, you've come to the right place. Also, I was allergic to an ingredient in the burrito, so we asked for another & they wanted to charge me twice. How is that for customer service!Please note: the service charge to bring your food to the pool is about 20%, so don't worry about tipping - I realized that AFTER I had already reluctantly left a tip. The pool is 3.5' deep & about 10'x6' in overall dimension. The tiles on the side of the pool could afford some attention. If we all order burritos, maybe they can get it done. The cocktails are weak, I tried to drink my frustration & anger of wasting a great day trying to relax, but starving instead, but alas, no buzz was found. Amazing - even on an empty stomach. No towels for about an hour at a time. No one could order & everyone was just upstairs waiting for someone to show up for us. Not a well coordinated hotel - why do they sell pool passes if there are no attendants?! Oh, also, this place looks like a random apartment building - so plan for that as well when arriving. read more

Tacky nickel and dime hotel that had no accountability for major mishaps during our stay. #1 The egregious act of serving meat to a vegetarian in a pasta dish that listed every ingredient except the meat on their menu. How did they fix it?....brought me a bowling alley grade pizza 20min after they had served my boyfriend and after I had the horror of ingesting an animal. #2 Valet crashes my car into a metal pole. Read the fine print carefully when you pay them $50 to park your car for the night. Apparently, you need to walk around your vehicle and inspect for damage before you pull away. Although I noticed the damage when I stopped for gas 10min after leaving the hotel it did not suffice and they will not be covering the damage because I had already left the hotel. OLS has a reputation for quality hotels and that is why I recommend my boyfriend to stay at The Chamberlain. Never again! The way this incident was handled was so poorly you would've thought we were staying at a Motel 6. Save yourself from this tasteless establishment and book elsewhere!!! read more

For starters this is a beautiful hotel. Great front desk staff and beautiful property in West Hollywood. We stayed in a king room suite and it was gorgeous and looked just like the pictures. Everything was clean and fresh and the beds and pillows are super comfortable. The loss of a star is strictly due to the catering. We were here to celebrate a friends birthday and he had reserved a cabana at the rooftop pool. He had arranged food for the party. When he arrived, the food was already there before the party time and it was ice cold. There were no plates, napkins or forks. The poor birthday boy seemed to have to call down every 5 minutes to get ice, more mixers, etc. instead of enjoying his party. Very poor performance from catering team unfortunately. This morning we decided to have breakfast in bed. The food was good but no butter in the toast or on the side. I asked for Splenda and they said sure but then didn't send any and no salt and pepper. It's the little things that matter. Especially if you are paying $60 for breakfast or $300 a night for a hotel room. read more

A few friends and I purchased pool passes to enjoy the roof deck on a hot LA summer day. The vibe at the pool is chill. Pretty basic crowd, easy to get some lounge chairs and relaxing atmosphere, which is kinda what we were expecting... it was the service that sucked. We ordered a few drinks, and some food. The drinks came, but the food never did. Other people around us got their food, that was ordered after us, but ours didn't come up. Super chic hotel tucked away in West Hollywood. Recently remodeled, the rooms are gorgeous. Clean beds, like sleeping on a cloud and bug free (I always check). They have up and coming books on the side table for you to enjoy during your stay. Free coffee in the lobby in the AM. Nice little gym with the basics. They did have a Pelaton bike which was awesome! My only feedback was to keep the air on in the gym and maybe make the thermostat accessible for guests if not. It was 80 degrees when I was in there, and I thought I was going to fall over. I'm in love with this Hotel. Nicely hidden and you'd never think that a hotel is located in this lovely gay neighborhood. I'm in the area often and have always thought it was an apartment complex. I was recently here for a weekend with friends visiting from out of town, and I'm very impressed with this establishment. The rooms are very spacious, with a lovely bathroom and access to your own balcony. They also have a rooftop pool. Whatever you need, they'll bring up to your room. From ice, to coffee, extra towels...it's all a phone call away. Overnight parking is available. They also have a restaurant inside as well. I'm a huge fan of the lotion, body wash, and shampoo provided to the guests. Walking distance from all the gay bars, Trader joes & Starbucks just a block up, and many other businesses in the area. Great location if you want to be able to get around without a car as well. 24 Hour Fitness just down the street. read more
