Beautiful location, super clean, amazing workers! I came for a workout event presented by Zimzon Zion! The workout class was on the roof, overlooking LA. The most breathtaking view I've seen in a while, and the perfect start to the day! Zimzon x The Pendry provided mats, towels, water, and a goodie bag as a Thank You for coming. Included in the workout session was access to the spa. Unfortunately the sauna/steam rooms in the locker room were out of order, so I didn't get to experience that part, however the worker in the spa saw to it that they'd honor my spa pass on another day. The customer service is A1 and I'm looking forward to coming back on another day! The bathrooms were extremely clean and stocked with essential toiletries for any emergency or change of plans. This place is just AMAZING. From checking to checkout, the process was so seamless. The staff at the Pendry from April at reception, Miles at the Spa, and Amadeus & Sydney at Merois, the week that we stayed at the Pendry for my daughter's birthday treated us so well. Kudos to their hiring personnel because everyone seems to just enjoy working here and we're just so very very nice and attentive to our needs. Additionally upon checking in we got a room upgrade and the the room had a wonderful view of the Hollywood Hills. Upon entering the room, the welcome fruit basket just started out the vacay on such a good note and it was so on point because after traveling 6 plus hours from the east coast, we were ravenous. If there is one very tiny quibble that needs to be pointed out it would be the Pendry's choice of toiletries. My daughter and I were both not a fan. Even tho we don't mind Unisex fragrances the m shampoo, the lotion and the shower gel was overwhelmingly a male dominant scent. It was so too much for us that we had to use our own. However, even with this minor exception, the attention to detail that is lavished upon their guests makes the Pendry one of the ultimate places to stay in LA. read more

My husband and I plan to stay here tomorrow --Friday night-- through Saturday for our 9th wedding anniversary. I have high hopes for our experience since my sister suggested the place. We have dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant and everything is a one stop shop for our quick getaway. Here's the thing: I called at noon to ask about potentially reserving two loungers by the pool. Most hotels have them at first come, first serve but I wanted to ask because it's a special milestone if they could just politely hold two for us so that we, toddler parents, would enjoy our one night and not have to wake up at 6:30 to go claim spots at 7AM when the pool opens. The gal on the phone was sweet, said they offered daybeds but there may be a discount for our special occasion or that they would help us hold two loungers understanding it's an anniversary -really understanding and made us feel special. She took down my name and number and said the concierge would call me back as he stepped away momentarily. By 3, I hadn't heard back so I called again and was transferred to the concierge. Hector picked up and when I recapped my earlier phone call, he was quite short and said there's no such thing as saving loungers and to just come by in the morning. Kind of a bummer that a place with a high pricetag won't help celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are staying the night and dining on site. It is what it is, but I've been to hotels with service that will go the extra mile for special occasions. I definitely felt more like a transaction to him. read more

Los Angeles, this is your new favorite spa. I have been looking for nice spa with really nice amenities and most importantly, someone that can actually do deep tissues; and I finally found it! First off, they validated your valet parking, which I appreciate. When I walked in, I was greeted by this handsome gentleman who was extremely in shape and had a huge smile on his face. Turns out he was the manager and super friendly. After checking in and assigned a locker, I went into the waiting room which smelled incredible and had snacks and tea. Finally the massage. It was . Perfect amount of strength, they found my problem areas and the bed not only heats, but the bottom bit can adjust up to raise your legs. I've never ever seen this before!! My favorite parts of the hotel are the new and luxurious rooms and views, and the pool. Our suite was massive with stunning views. Bed was very comfy, good amenities, lots of modern aspects. One thing we noticed though is that the windows are not tinted so you can for sure see into the rooms from the street. You can also see directly into the non tinted rooms of the hotel across the way. I did not like the fact that the shower was not fully closed in. Why do hotels do this ?!? It steamed up the whole bathroom and created an absolute mess of water on the floor. We spent a lot of time at the pool because we got to the hotel early and our room wasn't ready until after 4pm. The views are spectacular! The service was also excellent and the drinks very good. I was not very impressed by the service. There were only two employees doing check in and massive lines of people waiting. The employee checking us in was not very friendly or inviting. Everything went very slowly. The lobby is very small. Even though our room was supposed to be ready at noon it wasn't ready until after 4pm. Pretty unacceptable for a luxury property that we chose to stay at for specific benefits! We had to rush once we were in the room to get ready for dinner We also told them multiple times that we would be checking out at 4pm but they proceeded to call our room, wake us up, and confirm again! This was our first time staying at The Pendry and let me tell you- we are hooked! Our experience was truly exquisite, there is no other way to classify it! From the moment we got out of our uber we were treated like absolute royalty and with the utmost kindness. The doormen were always so helpful and attentive- our bags were grabbed immediately. Jay at the front desk was exceptional- not only when we first arrived, but throughout our stay. He explained all the perks of staying at Pendry clearly and helped with an early check-in process. During our stay at the Pendry we used many of the hotels fine amenities. First off, the pool! I could tell from the photos that this was no ordinary rooftop pool- this pool was ultimate class. Beautiful comfortable stretch chairs and the view was immaculate. They even had sunscreen and aloe for those of us who forgot about the California sun! Secondly the restaurant, we only used one of the eateries which was Ospero for breakfast and lunch. I absolutely loved all the fresh ingredients served here, it made being away from home easier as each meal felt healthy and nutritious. I also so enjoyed sitting outside at the little two seaters in Ospero it never felt rushed which I really appreciated. Next the gym! We only got to workout one of the days ( we had a shorter stay) but this gym was perfect. It was so clean and had great quality equipment- even a peloton and yoga room! Fourth, the spa-although we didn't have time to book a spa treatments the offerings looked divine. I was able to use the spa a few times for the shower and sauna which was lovely and so relaxing. I also loved the gift shop they had and walked out with a couple quality mindfulness books. Make sure to stop by even if its just to take a inhale of the candles! Fifth, the Cadillac partnership program! This is amazing. If you are unsure what i am talking about- ask next time you stay at the Pendry! Aside from amenities, the room was great. I slept so profoundly each night and there's nothing else i could have wished for. Last but not least, I want to call out a few people who made our stay great, Jay from reception, Hector and Adrienne from concierge and although i didnt catch her name the manager at Ospero who greeted us each morning -each of these people leveled up our overall stay. I've stayed at all of the high end Sunset Strip Hotels -- The Andaz, The EDITION, ONE Hotel, the Mondrian, the London -- all wonderful in their own ways, but the Pendry stands above. Am I being bought off because we were welcomed by a handwritten note from the manager along with a fruit basket? Maybe partially. Look, flattery works on me. I'm human and fallible, what do you want? Am I writing this because the concierge got us last minute tickets to a Largo show that was sold out when even AmEx's concierge was having difficulty? Partially! Am I writing this because it has the best rooftop bar, pool, food (the in-room breakfast was to die for) location (across the street from The Comedy Store) of all its competitors? Bingo. I cannot stress enough how great its location is. The Sunset Strip has the best central access to Los Angeles, but even on Sunset among the other hotels, you literally walk across the street to the Comedy Store. We had a skyline king view on one of the top floors and, while the room doesn't have a ludicrously large (and by "ludicrous," I mean AWESOME) soaking tub like its neighbor The London, Pendry hotels always have the best mini-bar. That demi-bottle of Veuve is so handy at capping off the perfect romantic evening. read more

We had an amazing time at Pendry West Hollywood - the staff was so nice - every one of them - from Asaf and Tiffany welcoming us at the front desk - this handsome guy Louis waiting on us at Merois - not to mention Jordie, Dennis, Cierra, and Amadeus at Merois - Pablo at the pool, and Carlos and Howie - and Paige with her welcoming smile - the service is quietly welcoming and so appealing - each one of them made us feel glad to be at Pendry. We met two couples (two different times) for lunch at Merois and the food was excellent and beautifully prepared - you must try the Spiky Lemon (I think that's what it's called) for dessert - we appreciate the chefs efforts! The rooms are lovely and we enjoyed relaxing in our Pendry robes - we had a wonderful view of downtown LA - I am trying to think of a reason why we need to go back to CA so we can visit this hotel again - try it - you won't be disappointed! I had a brief stay at Pendry WeHo in early December and found everything to be beautiful, clean, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. The bartender on the first level (I really wish I got his name!) took great care of my friend and I. The drinks and snacks were delicious, and he made sure we felt comfortable during our time at the bar. The only hiccup was when only one of the two elevators was available during check out time. There was a fairly significant wait just to get downstairs, and the stairs alternative was a little confusing for me. Adrianne, the concierge, went above and beyond at the requests I asked her for. Given that I stayed during a holiday weekend and not necessarily needed a suit for Monday for work, I asked her if there was any possibility that it could be dry-cleaned (it was Saturday morning) she made sure it was ready that same day by 6 pm. She was very attentive to seeing that my stay there was exceptional. Every time she saw me she called me by my name and had the best smile and conversation. Always asking if there was anything else that she could help me with. I could not be happier with my stay! John, the front desk overnight receptionist was amazing as well at any requests that I had asked for when I arrived late during my stay there. Always very polite and extremely helpful. The whole staff at the hotel was overall great and especially because of Adrianne and John, I will most definitely be staying there every time I go to LA. Could not have had a better experience. The event was a yoga + sound bath + cold immersion + spa experience created by Charles Chen/888 Process with The Pendry. I arrived early and met Melvyn Myles, who graciously helped set up and at the end of the event guided us and everyone to enjoy the hotel's offerings. Melvyn was not only incredibly kind and helpful, but was able to be everywhere for everyone and it was truly magical to witness! PROS: -Part of the Montage brand, newly built in 2021 on the former site of House of Blues (RIP) -Rooftop salt water pool - 3 feet deep -Wolfgang Puck rooftop Asian fusion restaurant - Merois -Somewhat of a boutique hotel feel (149 rooms, 11 stories). -Access to spa steam room included w/ $40 daily amenity fee -Very clean rooms (despite being pet friendly) and I'm picky. -Prime location (walking distance to The Comedy Store, Chateau Marmont, Sunset Tower. Ten minute drive to Walk of Fame/Chinese Theatre, The Roosevelt, Musso & Frank. Thirty min drive to the Hollywood sign trail). Not to mention you're also bordering Beverly Hills for shopping etc. CONS: -Our Deluxe Skyline View room was stuffy despite having AC. There was no way to let fresh air in since there was no balcony or windows to open. There's only balcony access with certain suites. -We booked a rate that included $75 in daily credit. It was not specified to me that the daily credit is not cumulative and if not used per day it's lost and cannot be added to another day's purchase. We ended up losing out on $60! -We were charged $10 for playing music through the TV. Bring a portable speaker if you want to enjoy music in your room without being nickle and dimed. -Though we had a fridge, it was filled with beverages that if touched or moved we would be charged for. Therefore we weren't able to utilize the fridge for snacks or leftovers. -When we wanted to access the "Cadillac" at 9pm for dinner 10 min away, which was part of the $40 amenity fee, we were told it was parked for the evening. -We wanted to use the steam room before dinner but they closed at 6pm. I assumed it was 24 hr access like the gym. -It just felt we ran into alot of "hidden print" that wasn't disclosed to us up front, but that we were "surprised" with when wanting to utilize the hotel's advertised benefits. Though overall enjoyable and I have no regrets, I would try a different hotel the next time around. read more

I fell in love with Pendry Hotels in July of 2021 to be exact. Pendry WeHo is new construction, mixed-use completed in 2021 with 300k sqft of commercial, entertainment, hospitality, multifamily & retail space. Between the Waterworks fixtures throughout the bathrooms, art installations, and Retro Hollywood interior decor, every inch of the Pendry enthralls you into an elevated escape. The hotel/restaurant is beautiful and the menu had a variety of options from the healthier to the more indulgent. Valet damaged my car and refused to repair. I went to an event and parked my car with the valet at the pendry hotel in December 2022. When I picked my car up a few hours later the parking brake was in an abnormal position. When I got home I found it to be broken and completely unusable. It took months for their insurance to follow up and, via email, they denied the claim without ever speaking to me or seeing the vehicle. When your SOLE job is to park cars you would think that using basic functions like a parking brake would be simple and within the realm of their responsibility. Beyond furious with the way my classic car was treated and the way this situation was handled. read more

The view can be really good in the morning I assume. At night, you have a view of the city! So alive and vibrant! You have to walk past a pool to get to the seating area. We were seated away from the windows, but could still see the city from up above. We ordered a bunch of plates to share. The best of them all was the oysters. I am pretty picky with oysters, coming from Seattle. But these oysters and the mignonette sauce was exceptional. The shishito peppers were between too spicy and too sweet and whatever was added to it did not work so well. The chocolate soufflé was not properly baked and as a baker, it was a huge let down. Terrific, friendly staff, at check-in, valet, and the bar. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a view of downtown LA you are in for a special treat. We eat breakfast at Ospero every day, its convenient, and has a creative menu with an amazing selection of pastries if you want to indulge yourself. The decor was chic, the hotel staff was nice/accommodating and it was very clean. My only complaint was for the food...the bad food was absolutely hideous and very costly to taste so bad. For a fine hotel you all should do better in this area. Do not order the Korean wings, they are boneless and it's a shame that we paid over $20 for something that sonic does better. The crab cakes were yummy. The fries were fries...rosemary or garlic with aioli dipping sauce would have made them fancier. The breakfast in the morning was no better. The pancakes were good, but the croissant was greasy and the chicken sausage was flavorless. My vanilla latte with oat milk was tasty. read more

Father's Day lunch on the Rooftop It wasn't very busy that is why I'm stunned at the poor service. They were very short handed only 2 servers and our server was very relaxed and took his time taking orders. It took 20 min to come for our drink orders 40 min for appetizer. He told us to order Right away as the kitchen is taking a long time. The appetizers were good but they totally messed up on the hamburgers they were burnt. We ordered medium. One was not edible so we had to send it back and it took 25 minutes to get another. The server came to the table once to take the order and once when we requested to see him about the burger. Do not stay at this hotel, even for business travel. They placed a $1200 hold on my card (which they weren't supposed to do.) And then another nearly $1000 charge the next day. Completely unauthorized. When I spoke to the front desk they had no idea what the charge was for. After checkout, the hotel charged me another $250+ for "what I consumed" They never told me about this at checkout and waited to charge me after I had left. Two in room dining meals, totaling $68 was all I actually had. This was also supposed to be charged to my company, not to me directly, but once again they charged my card. For my troubles they gave me a $14 bottle of wine. I still am waiting on these holds to be released. Please avoid this hotel, I cannot even tell you what a headache this is turning into. I will never stay here again, I am speaking to our HR staff about removing this hotel from our company list and I will be looking at additional options myself. read more

Stayed for a weekend and had a great time. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly faces. They all called us by out last names as we entered and got us checked in pretty quick. We got a nice upgrade to the 9th floor, which gave us a view of the city. We were here celebrating our anniversary and had champagne and chocolate waiting for us when we got into our rooms. The best thing about the room was the wide shower with excellent water pressure...hahaa!!! Can't go wrong with that. They have 2 Wolfgang Puck restaurants on site. We tried Ospero for brunch and had a good meal. We also went down the the bar on our first night for some delicious drinks, but was sad to hear that the last call was given at 10:30pm. If you are getting an Uber from here, make sure you are incommunication cuz sometimes they don't know where exactly yo pick you up. The driveway for valet is kind of in the back.
