My wife and I bought 15 trees and a bunch of shrubs and spent about $9,000 between two trips. We bought the trees right after the freeze so they still looked great. Upon delivery and installation 3 weeks later, 3 Eagleston Hollies and a Purple Pilllar looked 75% dead and have since died. Multiple emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. I get it, they don't have warranties but we questioned them when they went to deliver and they said "give them some time, they will come back." They didn't come back and now the company won't call back. Lousy way to run a company. read more

It is a beautiful drive up to the farm. I'm sure they have some nice trees too, but they need a refresher in Southern hospitality. My wife and I wandered the property trying to find help for a good 20-30 minutes. As we were waiting we saw another patron doing the same and they asked where everyone was. The office is clearly marked NOT TO enter. It says to meet under the blue tent, Under the blue tent there was a couple and their children coloring, but no help. We lingered there for another 10-15 minutes with no luck. We decided to drive around the lot to see what we could see (it is big). As we came back we saw the other person being helped. I stopped the car and got out to ask how we too could get help. The woman got all flustered and sternly said, "this is not the parking lot, go park there and we will help you." Clearly, she was more concerned about that than us. My wife was in the car and the car was running. I certainly was not sending signals I was going to park there. In my mind, I'm thinking - Umm...I was parked in the lot for about 30 minutes and had to go looking for you the whole time I was here happy pants! I drove a long way to get here and don't plan on dealing with you and your attitude. No thanks. Happily, we stumbled upon a place just a few miles down the road on our way back and they were great, had very good trees, and were nothing but helpful. I received good customer service when I bought our trees but it took 3 months for them to plant them. Very difficult to reach them by phone. They do not have a good system for planting. If it rained a few days before, they cannot get the trees out of the field, so I was rescheduled over and over again. There was even a couple of times that it didn't rain beforehand but they couldn't explain why my trees were not loaded and planted that day. read more

Contracted with this company to plant a Mexican White Oak tree. Planted in early April 2021. Took all steps prescribed by company to keep tree going. Tree did not make it. Company agree to replace tree in July. Said they would schedule re-planting in about 2-3 weeks. Followup phone call in mid August went unanswered. Did get call back one week later. Advised we would be gone for a few weeks, but would come out and view replacement trees in mid September. Went to tree farm on September 22, 2021 and located a replacement tree. Foreman advised they would be in contact for replanting schedule. Followup phone call in late October, left message for foreman to call me. No return phone call. This will be a detailed account of the terrible experience I had with CTF. I started by emailing them on June 8 and decided to place an order on June 11. When I asked what the next step was, I was told to call the office, which should have been my first clue to go elsewhere; a sales professional should be calling you, but I digress. I called and placed the order for 1 tree and was told that the next delivery date to my area was June 27 and that they'd call me the day before with what time to expect them. June 26 arrives, and I receive a call from my sales rep notifying me that, due to the rain the area had had that week, they were unable to traverse the farm and that I'd receive a call early next week (this was a Friday) to reschedule. Although I was miffed that I wasn't informed sooner (it had been raining all week), I thanked her for the call and said I'd wait to hear at the start of next week. Next week came and went and I never received a call. Finally, on July 8, almost 2 weeks later, I decided to give them a call. When my sales rep answered, she seemed to know exactly who I was and what I wanted but offered no apology or explanation for the delay. I was told the next date available was July 25 and that, as last time, I'd receive a call the day before to inform me of what time the planters would be out. July 24 rolls around and I wait nearly all day before giving up and calling at 3:15, 45 minutes before their COB. My sales rep answers and I tell her I'm calling to see what time my appointment would be for tomorrow. She says rudely that she was "about" to call me, then proceeds to say, "well, here's the thing with your tree..." I knew immediately that, yet again, something is amiss, and I wouldn't be getting the tree. She goes on to say that the 95-gallon tree I ordered, "just doesn't look good" but that there are 65 gallons that I could get. I ask why I wasn't informed of this sooner as I'd arranged my day, again, around the planting of this tree; she didn't have an answer. At that moment, I asked for a refund. They'd now had my order, and money, for SIX WEEKS and I told her that I didn't feel treated well as a customer and that the schedule changes and lack of timely communication were unacceptable. The sales rep then adds insult to injury by saying, "well, there was a little more to it than that...it wasn't our fault." This is about the point where I can't believe what I'm hearing, and I have to speak up. I tell her that, as a customer service entity, saying "it's not our fault" isn't an option; an apology, an attempt to make it right, and/or a refund should be offered - she claims that she did apologize and that COVID had something to do with the issues. Again, I have to speak up here. I am well aware of the effects of COVID as I was furloughed from my job and had to set money aside in order to pay for this tree. There is still no apology offered, so I tell her I'll be on the lookout for my refund. To say I was upset would be an understatement. I had been given the run-around this whole time, and was now getting attitude? Astonishing. After hanging up, I called one of their competitors, Fannin Tree Farm, and the experience from the beginning was 100% better. I placed the order for my tree with them on July 27 and it was planted August 10 - which was confirmed with me the week before. Not only was the service better, but the prices are much more fair. We got a larger tree of the same species, for less money. I waited to post this review in order to be able to show the comparison of the two companies. I had nothing but problems with Chambersville Tree Farm and never even received an apology for the multiple inconveniences and poor communication. With Fannin, every question I had was answered and they were prompt and efficient communicators. Please, if you don't read any other word of this review, read this: don't waste your time OR money at Chambersville Tree Farm, look elsewhere. We've been to Chambersville Tree Farms many many times since moving to Trinity Falls. They do a phenomenal job of caring for their specimens and keeping them well watered and fed. I'm extremely impressed with their knowledge and services to install - they really know what they're doing. Highly recommended! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND EFFORT SUPPORTING THIS GARBAGE BUSINESS. I've never written a review like this, but I am now. The farm itself is pretty and the initial staff encounters were friendly. After that, it was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Spent $14,000 and had trees planted 1 1/2 months late. Communication and follow up is non-existent. All you do is chase after them and waste your time dealing with total flakiness and incompetence once they have your money. They don't show up when planned, make excuses, and then show up without notice when you're not home. Then crews come late and can only do part of the job, machinery breaks on site (and employees admitted to the equipment being poorly maintained but cheap owners didn't do anything about it), etc. Charlene was initially nice but turned into a total witch. Apparently the owner doesn't care about the amateur way in which this business is run. Spend your time and money elsewhere... these clowns don't deserve to be kept in business. read more

This place has absolutely the Worst customer service of anywhere. I purchased a tree and they arrived 4 hours late with no phone call to inform me and then they brought me a horrible looking tree that I did not choose and did not have my name on it. I was spoken to condescendingly by the owner and other staff. I was lied to several times and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I bought a Red Oak tree from CTF last year. It was a 65 gallon Red Oak. It was not staked down. Storms came and blew it over. I called the tree farm and asked them to fix the issue. It took them 12 days from my call to come out and stake the tree. That's right. It wasn't done the first time! They used small metal wires to keep it straight. A 65 gallon guys. This wasn't some tiny tree. That tree died a week later and it took me having to threaten them with social media exposure to even replace the tree. The lady who handles their accounts stated they don't guarantee their trees and technically they didn't really have to do anything about it. Even though they admitted to being at fault for not securing the tree down. So I threatened them again. I actually bought 3 trees and 2 plants that same day. Our 65 gallon and 2 35 gallons for our backyard. None of my trees were staked down. They had no idea who even completed my job. I was eventually told that whoever was supposed to be out here subcontracted the job out. Management told us they never contract jobs out. Long story short we got another tree from them. It was staked down and that tree died 3 days later as well. Turns out after talking to another company that it wasn't planted properly and too much mulch was piled on top to create a volcano. The tree would have never survived no matter what we did. We are $900 down and having to purchase another tree. This time we will take our business to Fannin Tree Farm where they DO guarantee their work and will not contract their jobs out. I'd advise you all to look elsewhere even if it isn't at Fannin. Make sure you don't make my same mistake and go elsewhere because it's cheaper and will arrive quicker! read more

Awesome tree farm with an affable, knowledgeable staff and a vast selection of flora well suited to our Texas climate. Happy, well-cared-for mature trees aplenty in a serene, beautiful country setting. They specialize in roses, crepe myrtles and japanese maples and feature some amazing specimens. If weather permits and the size of this operation doesn't intimidate you, bring your comfy walking shoes and the family to visit this farm especially during the spring and fall color shows. You may think they cater only to commercial/wholesale business, but the staff at Chambersville welcomes retail customers as well. Great place for trees! I needed 2 Crape Myrtle's and they had a huge selection. I told them the characteristics I was looking for (medium size) and the color I wanted. Anna knows her stuff and she loaded into a golf cart to go look at EXACTLY what I wanted. Two weeks later they were delivered and planted at the agreed time (the weather cooperated too). The installers were meticulous and careful around our other plants, adjusted the trees to make sure placement was ideal, they even put a bag of mulch over the ground to blend it in. How often is the entire process, including sales and service in any business so perfect? Chambersville was competitively priced and is a well oiled machine, I would purchase from them again and highly recommend them. read more

I called this tree farm last week to ask about an ornamental tree. I spoke with a man named Rodney that explained about the different varieties of redbud trees. He was so knowledgeable that I made the 40 min drive north to see their inventory. How did I not know about this place before today?!? It is beautiful with so many different species of trees. They also have proven winner shrubs, crepe myrtles and tons of roses! Rodney drove me to see all of the redbuds. We spoke about where the tree would be planted and what gallon size would work best. He did not push the most expensive trees or act like my single buy was an inconvenience or waste of his time. He showed me which way the tree would grow best and how to plant. By the time I paid for the tree, they had it loaded and secured in the back of our truck. He even threw in a bag of mulch to keep the tree secured! I just wish I had more places to plant trees! I have already recommended them to all of my neighbors and friends! read more
