This bookstore is fun and the people are helpful. Wandering around is an interesting experience but if you are looking for something specific, I recommend asking for help at the desk. It's so big. It's just overwhelming for many people. They have all kinds of great treasures there though. We bought books, a Ravensburger puzzle, and games. We even enjoyed lunch.

Bookstore and cafe with a huge selection of all genres, including local writers, board games, a music and movie selection, too! Don't forget to visit the second floor like we did. They have used and new books and there is truly something for everyone. There were also curated staff picks if you're looking for a recommendation. The cafe has lots of seating for enjoying your book or anything that you purchase at the cafe. We got a fruit crumble bar and it was delicious. Will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to Jacksonville.

Nice coffee shop across from the library. This place has outside seating and inside seating. You order when you first walk in. You seat yourself. They deliver the good to your seat. I tried the iced chair tea over ice with jerk tempeh wrap. The wrap was nice. The flavor was ruch. The iced chai tea over ice was perfect choice for my wrap. The flavors all balanced out perfectly. They do NOT have a military discount.

This is the smaller Chamblins but let me tell you if you want a happy and cozy afternoon coffee. Or morning coffee, this is your place! It's so delish ! I finally got an egg and cheese sandwich this morning, very good and a great price! The coffee is always great as well! The workers are so kind and quick !

Absolutely love this little book store and cafe! I ordered my lunch and then took a look through the book store. I had their everything wrap and the matcha latte, which were both delicious. The book store has a hugeeeee selection of books and genres. I love that there is a selection of Jacksonville history. Definitely a good place to stop and have a quick bite or have a coffee date.

This place has the best lattes around, their menu is actually pretty extensive when it comes down to drinks. They have coffees, lattes, teas, Italian sodas, almost anything you can think of for a morning pick-me-up. Their pralines brownies and cookies are to die for, perfectly sweet and melt in your mouth. If you haven't I'd recommend you give their bagels and breakfast or lunch menu a try - it always looks delicious. The service is fast and everyone is polite. There's no pressure and they're quite patient. The cutest couch and seating is by the entrance for when you're waiting. Not to mention all the books just a side step away to peruse! I always enjoy taking my morning walk on my break down to grab my caramel latte - extra sweet! If you're a local, give it a shot on your morning commute. Cheap, simple, and worth your time.

The coffee shop and cafe in Chamblin's feels exactly right for that shop, where you can get lost in crowded aisle of books. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options exist, and small cafe tables are plentiful. You can also sit outside, and with the location being right at Hemming Plaza, there is always something to watch if you're not buried in a book. On this morning, I saw a local politician meeting and making calls, as well as a local developer having a quick meeting about a space. It feels like that kind of spot, where people of all walks can gather. Personally, I only ordered a chai latte, but it was hot and good. I do wish that there were non-disposable mug options, which would be good for a more green friendly business. Parking options are tough during the week, and WiFi would be nice, but for a downtown bookstore, neither are unexpected.

I LOVE this store. It's 2 stories of books upon books. There is a great selection ranging in topic, ability, and date. There is an entire row of Children's books! While this may not appeal to some, I've been rolling threw books with my son so getting 10 for $36 is a huge win!

Don't sleep on your local bookstores!…read more We participated this morning in a group walk and afterward, of course we had to stop into the bookstore! It's basically the law - you're in San Marco square, you go to San Marco book store. The book selection is ever evolving so there is always some new treasure to discover among the stacks. And often, I find books in there less expensive than Amazon. And there is a selection of books with author signatures as well, for no additional cost. Some of the signed ones have been ordered from the publisher, but a good portion of those come from live author events the book store participates in. There are so many wonderful events you can attend here, like the author signings mentioned above (and of course a slew of other things) And often, those authors will sit for a chat. I discovered a new favorite author when I accidentally stumbled into one of those events. It was neat to hear her discuss her book and answer some great questions. The. Store is also very involved in the community around them which I love. (The owner even participates in the group walks in the area sometimes!) They also partner with the library for some larger author signings and other events. If you love reading, this is a must visit!

Located behind Cultivate on Park Street, Vanessa curates her tiny store with diverse and forward-thinking books spanning all genres of fiction and nonfiction, as well as adorable stickers and reading tchotchkes. I'm a big fan of their Blind Date with a Book, which you can also find at other local stores like Temporium. If they don't have a book that you may be on the look out, there's a little box to request it. They hold wonderful events that are inclusive of everyone, and they put the community first time and time again. They partner with other local businesses to host events, such as hosting their book club at Alewife (RIP) or now BREW. I think my favorite events that they've held have been the Book Club Fairs (where you can meet the leaders of different book clubs in Jax), Grown-Up Book Fairs (think Scholastic Book Fair for adults), and their Book Swaps (where you can bring up to 10 of your own used books and swap for 10 new-to-you used books).

The energy is always high, the vibes are immaculate, and the staff keeps the shelves stocked with a ridiculous variety of comics, collectibles, action figures, FUNKO Pops, short boxes, supplies, and more. It's literally the kind of place where you can lose an hour without even realizing it. First off, say hello to Pacer, the AMAZING shop dog and official mascot of Gotham City Limit. He's the sweetest, the best greeter, and the best browsing buddy. Who doesn't want to shop with a good boy by your side? If you don't see Ben, you'll definitely hear his greeting from somewhere in the store as that man is just nonstop. Ben's dedication shows, especially on Free Comic Book Day and special release days, when Gotham City Limit turns into a full-blown celebration. On top of that, he partners with Jacksonville Public Library when they host comic-centered events and you'll see him at different conventions throughout the year. Ben makes sure everyone, from kids to hardcore collectors, feels welcome and included. Also big love to Jonathan (one of the OGs of comic shops in Jax) and Santana, who are always ready to talk storylines, their newest recommendations, or help you find the one issue that you didn't know you were missing. My pull list will ebb and flow depending on what is being released or if I want single issues of something. However, the numero uno items that I always want to see are the latest Baby Marvel covers from Skottie Young. The team has my account tagged for those specifically, and that kind of attention to detail is incredible. It's the kind of personal touch that makes you feel truly seen as a collector and fan. Gotham City Limit is a little slice of geeky heaven in Jax and one of the last remaining locally owned comic shops in this area of town. So make sure to swing by for a visit sometime soon and, as Ben says, always take it to the limit!
