When we finally one, we reached out to him again. It was important to do the inspection quickly because the contact was not going to be subject to inspection, and we didn't lose the bid. He agreed to do the inspection the day after we contacted him. As we did the walk through with him, he provided a number of very helpful suggestions, but felt that the house (from the 1860s) was in very good shape. In addition, unlike many other inspectors, he is an engineer and was able to provide guidance on structural matters (which fortunately was fine). He produced a 168 page report the following day (with lots of pictures), which also included a summary. We found him very knowledgeable and helpful, and highly recommend him.

So before we bought our new home we contracted this company for our inspection. Do Not Ever Use…read morethem!!! First and last time I ever use them and i felt taken advantage of in front of my Real Estate Agent. We were supposed to have the inspection and a pump out of the septic, however when we looked at the septic we realized it was shot and needed to be completely replaced. So the septic guy decided it wouldn't make sense to pump it and when I got the quote they included the price over $150 for just the pump out (portion of the whole "inspection" job). So when it came time to pay the Rich guy who was outside being sneaky with his secretary came in & says "well we didn't do the pump so I'll just take $50 off the total" Who has ever heard of a septic pump for 1000gal tank for just $50!!!? So when I called him out on it and showed all the previous numbers he denied it, acted unprofessional huffing a puffing saying that he wasn't going to give me the inspection & was taking radon tools and leaving. So then I asked him to call the secretary and let me talk to her to figure this out & he called and then I could hear her screaming at him saying "no I am not talking to him, too bad get out of there then if he's not paying". I even asked him so what do you pay for a septic pump in your house and he said "well around $125 but I give him a lot business and known him for years". but somehow my pump out was only $50, me and my agent caught him being contradictory to his own claim but I needed the inspection so ended up paying him because he was throwing a tantrum and so unprofessional. Then a week into owning the home he completely missed leaks and flex seal pipping that was now leaking. Im trying to warn you what happened to me since it could happen to you. If you ever use this company for your inspection it will be extremely difficult to trust them when they dont even give you the chance to work it out and they don't believe in customer service...
