I'm sharing our experience in hopes it leads to a fair resolution--either from Champion Buick GMC or from Stellantis/FCA. My wife and I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited from Champion Buick GMC on August 25th. The sales experience itself was positive. Brad and David were genuine, helpful, and made us feel comfortable during the purchase. We knew the truck had higher miles and no dealer warranty, and we accepted responsibility for normal used-vehicle risk. What we didn't expect were issues tied to incomplete repairs and inspection oversights. We drove the truck daily from the day we bought it. On October 4th, the truck suddenly overheated, the AC blew warm, and a check-engine light appeared. After scanning it, I discovered the cooling fan wasn't operating. Upon inspection at home, I found a basketball-sized nest, chewed plastic, damage to the headlight housing, and scratched washer tubing. This didn't occur while the truck was "sitting"--it never sat idle and is driven daily in a suburban neighborhood. Further investigation revealed a known issue on these trucks: leaking washer bottles dripping directly onto the cooling-fan harness, causing corrosion and fan failure. The dealership had replaced the washer bottle prior to sale, but the repair was not completed properly. The bottom mounting bolt was missing, the hoses were not replaced, and washer fluid continues to leak directly onto the harness (visible blue residue). I temporarily restored the fan by cleaning the connection, but the failure returned within a week. We are now making payments on a truck we cannot safely drive due to overheating. On October 25th, we ran into Brad, who sincerely tried to help and asked us to bring the truck in. Brad did follow through and called us back. However, the decision not to assist was made by management (Michelle), and Brad was put in the position of delivering that decision rather than management addressing it directly. That was disappointing given the circumstances. We also later discovered the truck was sold with an open recall that had been outstanding well before our purchase. At this point, I have the front end disassembled again, the washer bottle is still leaking, and I am facing harness replacement and potentially larger electrical repairs--all stemming from what appears to be an incomplete pre-sale repair and inspection. I'm not posting this out of anger. I'm posting because I believe this situation deserves review and accountability. We had a good initial experience, and we want to believe Champion Buick GMC--and Stellantis/FCA--stand behind customer safety and proper repair standards. I'm asking for Champion Buick GMC or Stellantis/FCA to step in, review this case, and help resolve an issue that originated from incomplete repairs and inspection oversight. Champion Chrysler Jeep GMC are straight-up crooks. They tacked on a $3,500 service contract I NEVER asked for, and when I confronted them, the general manager promised he would refund the money to my loan -- that never happened. I've been calling and calling to request a cancellation contract, and of course, he never answers or calls back. The GM even admitted he "went over the tape" of the sale, and instead of hearing "Would you like to purchase this service?" their finance guy just told me "We added this service." I only agreed because I thought it came with the car -- not that it was some hidden upsell. Oh, and when I traded in my prior car, these scammers tried to lowball me at $500, but another dealership valued it at $2,200. They also somehow managed to get my first negative review removed. I have been a loyal Champion customer for years, purchasing multiple vehicles and servicing many others there. My recent experiences have ended that loyalty. On my 2021 Canyon Denali, a repeat shifter assembly failure cost me $977 out of pocket. The service manager, Mike Foster, gave conflicting explanations, admitted retaliation after I said I'd take my business elsewhere, and refused reasonable assistance. On my 2021 Sierra AT4, Champion dismissed excessive oil consumption as "normal" despite repeated tests, and blocked escalation to GM. I was lied to, denied fair treatment, and saw a clear focus on profit over integrity. I will not purchase from or service my vehicles at Champion again. read more

Don't bother calling ahead because they will tell you it's available hoping to sell you a different car. If it's not on the lot, check the car fax because it's more than likely already sold. 8/30- Called to confirm a vehicle was available the night before...drove AN HOUR AND A HALF to check it out. Didn't see it in the lot so I walk inside hoping it is being prepared for my arrival seeing as I called ahead. I meet with Colin who is "excited to earn my business today" and let him know I'm here to see said car (even show him the auto trader listing) but didn't see it on the lot. He asks I sit at his desk while he gets the keys...fully aware the car I came to see already sold yet had no issues wasting my time. He asks me a bunch of questions that have nothing to do with the car I came to see. I finally ask to see the car I came in for and watch him walk out to the lot, get in a completely different car, run it through the car wash and drive it over like it's the car I came in for. My experience with champion gmc has been a nightmare. My truck went in for an engine noise, after several weeks of attempting to contact them they finally got back to me and told me I needed an engine and gave me an outrageous quote so I towed my truck out of their shop and replaced the engine myself. when replacing my engine I noticed their tech broke my engine cover in half. This only happens due to gross negligence. I have now called the dealer for 4 days asking for a new cover and have gotten next to no response. At this point I think they're deliberately ignoring me so they don't have to correct their mistake. Unscrupulous Sales Practices and Poor Customer Service If I could give zero stars, I would. I recently visited this dealership on July 9, 2025 with my son and his family, hoping to be moral support with him purchasing a second car. What should have been an exciting milestone turned into a nightmare that lasted from 11am until 5pm, thanks to the most unprofessional salesperson we've ever encountered, Kevin. Kevin was not only condescending and dismissive but alarmingly uninformed about the car's history and warranty. It quickly became clear that his only priority was making a sale, regardless of the quality of the vehicle or the needs of his customer. My son ended up with a 2016 Silver Malibu with 110,000 miles--a complete lemon. Since the purchase, we've discovered after the car was dropped off on July 10th at the house (it was smoking more than a barbeque pit at a fourth of July picnic. After calling the dealership back within minutes, Kevin never called back.....so after talking to my attorney, he urged us to drop the lemon back off, which was an hour away. Once we arrived at the dealership, Kevin didn't take ownership of him, being disrespectful and unprofessional about the whole ordeal, he went and sat at another coworker's desk like the coward he is ("typical used car salesmen behavior). Thank God we were able to get the check back from the dealership. I urge anyone considering this dealership to be extremely cautious. I found a car on Carfax and sent for information on the vehicle. I was contacted by email, phone, and text concerning the car. Lindsey called me and asked when I was going to come and see the car. I indicated that day. I drove 1 hour and 50 minutes one way. While driving, she called me to see if I was still coming and I told her that I would be there in 30 minutes. I get to the dealership and Brad, who had been texting me all day talked with me concerning the car in question. He informed me that the vehicle in question was 11K more then what is listed on Carfax and began to Gaslight me stating, "You really don't believe that the vehicle is at that price with that mileage did you?" I said I had be texted 6 times today with several phone calls concerning the car and took 1/2 day off work and drove almost 2 hours to be Gaslite?! He further stated that he could get me in another vehicle and he could show me what he has available. Be careful with these people. After less than 500 miles driven and only 8 months of ownership the engine is dead. They've now taken 3 weeks to "review" the issue and denied any coverage!?!? We had a recent oil change with no issues, no oil drops in our driveway or garage, no engine or oil light indicators came on, no odors. NO SIGN of any issue but warranty company is claiming we drove the car with an oil leak for months. Why in the world would we have our teenager daughter drive with leaking oil? They lie to get out of paying! Again only driven a few hundred miles and now this dealership wants $7000 engine that should be covered, no doubt, as part of the warranty. They lie. I called ahead to ask if a specific car on their website was available. They said, let me check and came back and said, yes it's on the lot. I scheduled an appointment in an hour to see it. They texted me the address and told me "When you arrive ask for my manager Michele. She will be expecting you." We drove 40 minutes to get there and when we arrived on the lot and started looking around the salesperson we spoke to came out and I told her the vehicle we were interested in. She immediately started acting shifty/manipulative asking what other cars we might be interest in and what we liked about that car. She told us when we were done looking to come and talk to her manager. So we went in to the office and she came over again and asked again what we liked about that car and if we were only interested in a Nissan Juke. Then the manager came out and said I'm sorry, but that car is not available but that they wanted to try and find a different one for us. We left. The salesperson texted me and said that the car had sold this morning just before we got there which was a complete lie. The CARFAX on the vehicle says that it was sold 5/22 today is 6/12. They lied to me to get me to drive 40 minutes to their lot so that they could try and sell me a different car. He checked for recalls on my car, which I'd never had done/offered before (that I know of at least). When a recall appeared, Jim accepted that I didn't have time that day to have that looked at. I drove 45min after to have the salesman ask me pointless question like "what do i want in a car" "where did i finance my last car" what does have to do with me buying the specific car i called about. I was gonna put down 13k on a $18 vehicle, all i wanted was $500 off sale price but they wouldn't budge and gave me a full price offer for over 21k on an internet advertised 18k car!!!!!! After reading the fine print every used car at the dealer (with horrible reviews) has $1300 in secret add ons. $900 for a "reconditioning fee" what did you recondition? I saw a white mark in the back seat, paint chips on hood & again broken air condition! Then they sneak in a $300 security etching scam thing. Look it up on google,its useless. I believe they didn't respect me as a customer and thought i was an easy target. Buyer beware. It was the Black 2016 Ford escape, the air conditioning does not work even after the poorly reviewed service department did their "multipoint check". My son brought his car in for a remote starter...when he brought it home, the Passenger Air Bag Light came on. Now your guy, Drew, is trying to tell us that it will cost $900 to fix. This is outrageous. Obviously something went wrong on the remote installation. I can't believe you will not honor and stand behind your work. He bought the car there, too. He has been a loyal customer. He could have taken it anywhere for the remote and detailing job, that cost him $500 of hard earned money. This is not right. I did a lease deal over the phone and via email for a new Buick. They never mentioned that the price includes 'optional dealer items' (which I didn't want and never asked for). Then then added this to the lease and we only found out later on when we received paperwork from one of the companies that provides the additional non wanted item (Theft Guard protection for $300). This was never mentioned at any stage either when negotiating a lease by phone or by email or when signing the lease. These guys basically tacked on charges to our lease without telling us. Their service department is terrible! Never get your vehicle fixed there. My car was running smoothly and started to overheat so I took it there for a full diagnostic. Was told the head gasket was bad, thermostat, battery and rear breaks. So I said ok forget the breaks and batter it's $2100. I go pick it up and now it's knocking! They're full of it saying we suggested a new engine (NEVER ONCE SAID IT). They clearly messed it up and don't know how to work on things or stand behind their work NEVER AGAIN. The vehicle we purchased was anything but... the tires were 2010 when the vehicle was a 2016 so those were swapped. Naturally, all 4 have needed to be replaced, not from wear, but from dry rot that wasn't seen at the time of purchase. Battery went a few months in, yep, it was swapped out too. Be careful, verify and check dates, each tire has a date, battery has a date. These guys will swap out and won't think twice. read more

I saw a vehicle that I wanted to purchase last Friday evening. The dealership was closed so I decided to call Saturday morning. On Saturday morning when I pulled up the ad it was $500 higher so I looked elsewhere. Tuesday the price went back to the original price so I gave them a call. I had purchased from them before so I thought they could expedite my paperwork to save time. They told me that people were calling about the car but if I could come during the week it would be available. My salesman asked if I was going to pay cash and I replied yes and would need the total cost so I would be prepared. He said he would send me a text message. After 45 minutes I get a message with a price $2200 higher than the asking price. When I asked them to itemize they wanted me to pay for etching the glass and an oil change and cabin air filter and some kind of reconditioning fee. When I turned them down they told me that they etch the glass on every car they sell and if my car gets stolen I would get a check from some insurance company to help with my deductible. They said since it was such a nice car that the added detail touches were just part of doing business. I saw a review on yelp by a man complaining about exactly the same thing and I thought he should have looked first. Now I believe the best thing is to leave them alone. If you can't trust people that you spend thousands of hard earned dollars with, it's best to move on. I called another dealer about a similar car and got a straight answer with no front loading bloatware. The bad thing is that I'm a repeat customer and thought my business meant something. 12/17/2018 I contacted the dealer as requested. They stated they cannot answer how or why the email was sent to me. I'm told there's no manager waiting to talk to me. Really wish I'd had one of these 5 star experiences I keep seeing. 12/14/2018 Extended warranty is finally activated. I just got a notification from Champion Buick, through a company called Reputation.com. This company, or legal group, I'm not sure, assists companies in removing bad reviews from social media, like google. Champion reached out through them, asking me to contact them regarding these matters. Funny, because I have been reaching out to them, over the past 9 or 10 days, without response until now. 12/13/2018 Don't Lease/Purchase!!! Just Run!!! The brake light came on during my original test drive. My salesman assured me the leaking brake line would be replaced. As it turns out, this dealership saw fit to send me uninformed, out on the road with a "patch", on a very rusty brake line. Three weeks later it has blown and caused a near collision. The "extended warranty" I purchased, isn't in effect, online, or by phone verification, as of yet. Champion had my vehicle for a week, as we were waiting for a call back from the Sales Manager. I ended up towing my vehicle from Champion, tto Meadows Automotive, in Waterford. He took my car right in, got me a loaner at his expense, showed me the problems, and is charging less than half of what Champion wanted, for a job they should've completed before the car hit the street. I could have killed myself, my children, hit other cars, or pedestrians. They were willing to take that chance with my life, to save $350.00 in brake lines. THAT'S HOW LITTLE OUR LIVES MEAN TO THEM. $350.00 And, they wanted me to pay them to fix it, after they screwed up the first one! VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE AND BAD FORM. Champion clearly doesn't care about the welfare safety of their fixed income, disabled customers, with their sleazy hybrid financing-avoid SmartWay financing which their extended warranty won't honor this type of purchase/lease, and their lack of morality, and humanity. I cannot believe the owner of this company has managed to accumulate an aggregate of so many soulless people, who callously, lie, manipulate, and defraud for a living. These may seem like harsh words, however I have the paperwork to back them. 11/15/2018 Pros: Great sales team. Extremely flexible financing. My salesman worked relentlessly to get me the right car. Cons: SHOCK, a used car dealer that lies. There are areas on my aluminum hood, which their body shop said is a "defect in the paint, not rust, oxidation, or corrosion," IS in fact corrosion and the hood will need to be replaced at some point. Following the purchase, was a humiliating experience, where I was bullied, accused of lying, and socioeconomically demeaned for being lower income. I signed over my former vehicle (title free and clear) as a trade in 11/8. No one sent out a tow truck for 4-7 days (the dealer couldn't tell me what day). The repair shop, goes by the 96 hour abandonment law, reported it as abandoned after 4 days, and had it towed. 11/15--- 3 days later, the Buick salesman called to tell me the problem. After doing all the leg work to find a vehicle the police repeatedly told me, that I had no claim to (as Champion had the title), I was "poor shamed" by my salesman, for not having the money or as he put it, "not being interested in getting this car I promised them out of impound." I was accused if lying to him about my financial limitations and he implied nonspecific threats regarding my financing. Overall painting the picture of me, a lowly broke customer who's taken advantage, and is now screwing over the philanthropic company who has saved me. read more

The salesmen all seemed to work together to get the car ready for me, warm it up, make sure it had gas for the test drive, and so on. This was unlike any experience that I ever had! All of them listened to my comments and concerns about buying a vehicle and took the time to figure out exactly what I was going to be using it for (instead of just shoving the vehicle down my throat). I ended up buying a completely different vehicle from them and am so happy that they lead me to it; it fits my family a lot better and gets better gas mileage than the one I was looking at! Things weren't too bad until he stated that one time he wrote the word "f**" on a balloon and an arrow on it and then accidentally left it out and it ended up pointing at a "d*** lesbian". Ummm. I took my car in for an oil change. Everything went well. The dealership told me I had 4 recalls on the vehicle. So I scheduled an appointment and dropped the vehicle off. I had them detail the inside and outside of the vehicle. When I picked the vehicle up the window was cracked and the vehicle detailing was poor. I called the service manager twice - and received no call back. I will not be taking my vehicle back to this dealership. I'm suggesting that unless you are getting an oil change - move on to another dealership. read more
