I was happy with the service at Champion Express Lube until I was stranded with my dog in the heat on George W Bush Tollway! I had to be towed and since the last people to touch my car was the workers at Champion Express, I had the car towed there. The housing to my air filter was not put on correctly and that was the problem! They fixed it but blamed it on the housing! I'm not taking my car back there again! Very friendly, fast, and helpful. They allow you to bring your own oil, which a lot of places don't let you do. Especially helpful for people with high-performance cars like mine, who don't want to use regular off-the-shelf lubricants, but also do not want to go through the trouble of getting a set up to change their own oil. I still go to this place. Im sure that Im not the only one that keeps them in business, but I help. This place stays busy during peak times, early morning and after people are off work. There are still a few guys there that have been there for years....they are always nice and I think remember me. There is a decent sized place to sit and wait inside, with magazines and a bathroom to use if needed. And if it is a nice day outside go sit on one of the three benches they have outside. I think they also have coffee in the morning but I am not sure, never had it. Also you can get a discount on a carwash at Super Shine if you get an oil change here. These guys are amazing! Our car was suddenly overheating. A big crisis since we're 100 miles from home. The guys tried to cool it down. Checked all the fluids. Then diagnosed it as a failing thermostat--which turned out to be correct. Since that's not the type of repair that they do, they got on their personal phones and began calling other auto repair shops in the area. They helped us so much--and didn't charge us anything. My brother in law took his jeep in to get an oil change and also got work on the differentials done. When we left everything seemed to be fine. A few days later, the power steering went out, took it to a very good mechanic in Dallas, Al's Auto. Our AC compressor was loosened, all four bolts and one fell onto the frame. The compressor fell and hit our serpentine belt causing the issue. We still kept getting warning lights. Took it to Clay Cooley in Irving, found out there that the differentials were not taken care of at all, no oil at all. We had to get the rear differential replaced. BIL paid $400 just for the differential work at Champion for them to sabotage his car. They might be fine for a plain oil change but see your regular mechanic for anything else. read more

Today 2/12/22 I brought in my Toyota Camry for a oil change and for them to check tire pressure. I brought my own oil and filter along with me. Over the phone they said it'll be 24 bucks but when I paid it was cheaper for 21 dollars. I saved 3 bucks nice! My only concern was that the guy that changed my oil was a little rude and rushed me out of my vehicle. I'm not bothered by it as he's just getting his job done fast and we'll, but I'm sure other people would be off put by how rushed he'll make you feel. read more

First time here! I was recommended by an employee who works here, Vincent, who's also my neighbor. Joel took great care of me although I wasn't planning to spend money for transmission oil change. Although I almost always get my car washed next door at SuperShine, this was my first oil change at Champion Express, and I probably won't go back again. First, the gentleman doing my oil change said that my vehicle called for full synthetic oil (it does not...I checked the manual after I left). Told him I wanted regular 5W30. My total cost was $45.30 for tax and shows I got synth-blend. My last oil change was a total of $34.58. Additionally, he entered my mileage at 24,892 and it is actually over 51,000. Ugh. read more

This would be a five star but for the following. I live in Oak Cliff but I'm in Grand Prairie regularly. I'm tired of long waits at the Honda dealers in Dallas, so I took friend's recommendation to use CEL for a routine oil and filter change service. I went on Tuesday, the service was great, and I was in and out in less than an hour. The only problem was they did not have in stock an air filter for my car, but could order it and it would be there @3PM. I told the guy to go ahead and charge me for the filter, and I'd come back the next day. Went back Wed. (25 minute drive one way) told the guy in charge (different guy) that I was just there to get my paid for air filter installed. He said it didn't make any difference, I could either wait in line for 45 minutes behind the oil change customers or come back in an hour to see if the line was shorter. I told him to just give me the filter and I'd do it. He did, and it took me, not including the YouTube instructional video, two minutes to put it in. I'm not advocating line jumping, but I think the people at CEL could have installed it in under two minutes, but weren't willing to do it without me having a 45+ minute wait. read more

Great place to get your oil changed and other light maintenance like fuel filters and other fluids filled or changed. The guys are knowledgeable and very polite and professional. They have a car wash behind the oil change that is owned by the same owner, so if the oil change guys ring up the wash, it's cheaper. Car wash has everything from simple 5 dollars each up to detail with hand wax. Overall a great little mecca of car cleanliness and maintenance. read more

We use to only come here to get our oil changed and all of our fluids checked. That is until my girlfriends car over heated a few days after her oil change in the middle of rush hour traffic in Dallas. Come to find out, none of her fluids had been filled at all.
