7.12.23 ~ Today I called this store at its new location and was lucky to speak with Bryan T.. He was polite plus attentive and invited me to come by to check the issue. I took 2)- wire spoke wheels w/tires mounted to check balance. He introduced me to his balance expert and then they both checked and adjusted the balance weights for me. The outstanding part of this story is this was at 'No Charge'... I haven't seen this type of service since I was a kid...(ol' guy'). I got my brakes replaced here 18 months ago and was given a good price for a set pad, rotors and sensors for my BMW X3. Came in today for a brake light and they gave me a free inspection and found a frayed sensor cable. It's was repaired and I was out the door in less then 30-45 minutes. Update: bought a used tire last yr to serve as a spare, service was great. But, today got the spare installed due to a flat, and realized that spare had a standard load rating and 44psi max limit (my other tires were E1 rated with 80 max psi, and this was for our class b van. Yes, I should have done my own due diligence, and get a suitable tire for the weight of my vehicle, but I also assumed that the shop should have checked that as well. We all have that one person we know who is not only clueless about car care and maintenance, but outright neglectful. For me, that person happens to be my spouse. So one can imagine my horror - but not surprise - when I found myself behind the wheel of said spouse's car to find the brake pads had deteriorated to nothing. That metal on metal sound is so excruciating! And expensive, to be sure. And so a grocery store trip becomes a trip to the mechanic. Despite advice to go to a more commercial brake shop, I returned to Advanced Tire & Auto Service remembering their previous service with my tires. And I'm glad I did, too. I was dubious at first seeing the amount of vehicles lined up to be serviced, considering I arrived less than two hours before closing. However someone was with me right away (and it was a bonus I was remembered, too). It only took them fifteen or twenty minutes to get the car up and inspected. After giving everything a looking over I was informed of the damage (again, ugh) and how much it would cost to fix. The mechanic was straight up front about what needed to be done. Even though they didn't have all the parts on site, they were willing to go get them immediately and make the fix so I didn't have to leave the car overnight. Not to mention, the price was quite impressive compared to quotes from other places. So, even though I had to wait between an hour and a half and two hours for the car to be fixed, the staff fetched the parts they needed and got the job done. They answered all of my questions and were very sociable, even those not working on my car. Unlike most places I've been, I did not feel like I was being hustled or ripped off. And the cherry on top of the sundae? Even though I was in for my brakes (and rotors, thanks to my spouse) they noticed my steering fluid was low, so they topped it off for no extra charge. Once again I am very satisfied with the service I received at Advanced Tire & Auto Service. This go round might have taken longer than most people would have liked, but the employees did what needed to be done to get the job done, even though they didn't have everything they needed initially (especially since I did not call ahead and just showed up, still receiving immediate service). They were honest, straightforward, and all for a good price. The people here have shown the willingness to go above and beyond as well as treat their customers honestly. And the comparable prices can rarely be beat. I will definitely be returning to this shop whenever my spouse's antics require me to in the near future. Look...if you need an honest mechanic one that will not only repair your car but if they can will charge you less than the quoted amount if they finish the job ahead of time. They wont keep your car for days and days racking up the bill. They have so much business they normally fix your car the same day. Unless they have to order a car part. My experience: Being new to Arlington, I was worried about finding a trustworthy auto shop. I brought my truck in because my AC system was freezing up and the reason why was beyond my knowledge. The folks at Advanced were able to ascertain the problem and get it fixed quickly and for a very good price. I'm going back in for new shocks later this week because their estimate was so competitive. Bottom line: This isn't' a pretty shop with everyone in uniforms. I found this place when I was rushing to the airport one day and I heard something in my tire. I pulled in and the guys pulled the nail out (luckily it had not penetrated the tire) and they did not charge me. Everyone on the inside gives excellent customer service. One guy reminds me of my dad. I tipped the mechanic who gave me peace of mind about my tire that day. I've been bringing my baby here every since. I have a 2008 Lexus rx350. They are always reasonable with their rates and just down right honest mechanics. That's hard to come by. It's a mom and pops business with more expertise than the dealership. Once I had a tire sensor that was giving me trouble. The dealership could not figure out which on it was and kept charging me. This place figured it out in 30 min and I haven't had any issues again. Great place, great people. I ordered a new tire for my Prius with a flat when Toyota couldn't fix the flat and couldn't order a new tire in time. Me. Triplett from Advanced Tire and Auto service ordered a new tire for me ($95) but in seeing my car tire fixed my busted tire for $6 and insisted that he wouldn't recommend buying a new tire. I had already ordered my new tire and was prepared to pay him $95 , but he only took $6 and my car is still running on that perfectly. I even finished a 1350 mile car trip to Santa Fe on that tire.
