It's $1 per token where you buy in increments of 1,5,10,20,etc. You can even trade your smaller stuffies for a bigger one depending on how many you have to trade. They've aged out of the soft play areas, but now they can spend hours at the stop motion video station and exploring the newer exhibits. The recycling area is also one of their favorites. It's such a quaint little space and incredibly affordable for what you get. I also love seeing downtown Mesa continue to grow, and the museum feels like a big part of that energy. From a parent perspective, it's really easy to visit. There's ample parking, it's very stroller and diaper bag friendly, and it's a perfect place for a playdate. You can actually have conversations while the kids explore and move between activities. The mural in the courtyard is gorgeous and the puppets are always a hit with my kids. BRKTHROUGH was such a fun experience for our group of nine!…read more There have been a handful of similar entertainment centers popping up across the Valley lately, where you jump into rooms that each have different puzzles, games, or escape-style rooms. Each has its own merits, and Brkthrough really stands out in a handful of ways. - Team-based: I love that you rack up points as a team and can see everyone's scores live! In a bigger group, it makes it feel like you're competing with your friends even if though you have to be split into groups if 2-4 people. - Score limits: There's a bit of a strategy to racking up the most points. You can earn up to 100 points each room, which means you can either replay games to improve your score or try to play as many different games as possible. (Some rooms are easier to score in than others though) - Room wait times: Fantastic. We had virtually no wait at any room ever. There were 40 rooms (massive) with only a few closed so it never felt overbooked. - Immersion: The set design is pretty phenomenal, making you feel dizzy on a train, dropped into a navy ship, or placed in a ball pit. - Cost: Currently runs about $30/person for a two hour session, making it the most affordable of the three quick-play room style centers. Quick entry into rooms also made it feel like we had plenty of time! Some rooms were hard to understand, though there are hints in the hallway or you can ask an employee for help. The bar is a nice touch too. I like that even escape room-style games will slightly change (ex: with different quiz answers) so you can still have fun if you return.

I would skip this place entirely. The first room I did was "Santa's Workshop"-this is the most challenging room that they have. This room was the perfect balance of difficult and fun. The team at Inferno is really creative in their story building and puzzle development. This is a great option if you are looking for a fun holiday activity to do with friends or family. I recommend not doing this room with more than 4 people. The second room I did was "The Candy Shoppe". Our group ended up arriving to the room a bit late and the Inferno staff was so understanding and accommodating. They adjusted the room's puzzles to match the time we did have and were great at anticipating we we needed extra guidance. I can't wait to come back again-after your session is over, they even offer a discount for you to rebook again. I highly recommend checking this place out if you love to do escape rooms.
