Our bartender waitress has personality plus. Her name is Carly. She set the stage by being engaging & very friendly. She p1st time here to enjoy 1/2 price wings every Monday night. As you can see their menu is very extensive. I'll be checking in with updates as we eat. I'm having plain well done wings with 3 sides; blue cheese, Thai chili & bourbon . I can only base this review off of what I am calling "The Pregnancy Special" which is sweet potato fries and fried pickles. These two items are my must haves during pregnancy and Champion's is the only place near me that has both so I decided it was time to give them a try. We ordered take out and literally all I ordered were these two items. The food was ready super fast, and it was really good, huge portions, and a decent price! It was a tiny bit soggy when we got home, but I think that was the ride in the car since we went to grab pizza as well (I'm pregnant, remember lol). I was really happy with the food and will definitely order from here again! Note: there were kore pickles than my photo shows, but I set some aside for tomorrow. read more

On Valentine's Day weekend, during COVID limitations, I was left scrambling to find a place that I could take my kids to eat, in between basketball games. I stumbled upon Champions menu (on Yelp) after striking out with wait times at two other establishments. With less time to spare, we decided to call in the order. While nothing fancy, the choices were about as kid friendly as they come and fairly priced. We grabbed basic chips and cheese, a hot dog, an appetizer sampler and a chicken Caesar salad wrap with fries. Upon entering to pick up the order, it become apparent that this wasn't really a restaurant but a bar where a handful of local regulars come to hangout and play trivia. Walking in and waiting was actually kind of awkward. I was skeptical at what I'd end up with for grub, but it turned out ok. The "nachos" were very bland. If you're going to have just chips and cheese as an option, load them up. These were dry, not cheesy. The hot dog and appetizer sampler were pretty middle of the road bar food. The wrap and fries were decent. I'd order that again, however I'd suggest they leave the croutons out. I'm appreciative of them coming through for me that day, but I'm not sure I'd return, unless I'm a bind again. read more

I was with my BF last Tues while he was playing pool. They had karaoke that night and I finally got my nerve up to try it out but the DJ was completely distracted by his GF who was always standing next to him, yapping, crying and kissing on him. Off & on for years would go there to play pool, drink. eat food while there & even more food to go for next day. Was great & a lot of fun years ago when they had 4 pool tables. They had a really great cook (named Heather?) that works elsewhere now. And a great, fun bartender Carly (she may still work there, haven't been since covid laws closed bars down). Over the years one of the 4 pool tables disappeared so more competition/wait times for the remaining 3 tables. Then eventually another one was removed and just 2 pool tables left in a place that has always been essentially Biddeford's pool hall. Don't know if they still have the same main cook of these past several years after covid reopening (he has close-cropped salt/pepper hair, a little balding & glasses, baseball cap, blanking on his name). He was/is a very good cook & he cares. Last time I was there got a large caesar salad to go & that guy/cook wasn't there and a dark-haired girl was doing the food. When I got home the salad smelled really strange but I wasn't sure of the problem. So gave it a taste & the chicken was rotted. That smell was rotted flesh. Haven't eaten there since was so put off. read more

I don't know if they're just understaffed, but I was sat at the bar for over 6 minutes without so much as an acknowledgment from the staff, much less a drink. Would love to give my opinion on their food, as their menu sounds great, but I'd rather go somewhere that I feel welcome. read more

Went to this bar on the first day they were allowed to open under distancing laws. I entertained there before the outbreak and haven't been back since. OMG! They've fixed up the whole place. Yes it is Champions. I have some fond memories of this place. After all this is where I was when the red sox's won the world series in 2004. They gave us a free champagne toast and well that will always help your rating! That was before the days when I discovered life outside of Maine and still hung out in this area. I have been back a few times since and I have to say it is a local bar. They have cheap beers, occasionally a dj and some good people watching. read more

Hidden gem of a place! Great drink and food specials. The food is fantastic. They make a lot of their food such as burgers making them one of the best around. There is always entertainment, acoustic acts, bands, DJ, trivia, karaoke, sports and games. If you're bored here, you're doing something wrong. Would rate this 3 stars, but had such a bad experience with a server! Ordered a drink and she made it wrong. When I brought it back to the bar [still full], I asked for the drink I had asked for, and she refused. Not only did she refuse, but she had a bad attitude to boot. Servers, bartenders, etc are the face of their business and she was horrible! No personality and doesnt have the customer service skills to work in that line of work. read more
