The cabinets and walls needed a total refresh of paint, and all that new woodwork had tons of caulking/filling/sanding/priming etc to do. Then we needed new crown molding added to our half bath, and there were several sheetrock patches plus some ceiling cracks which needed good prepping and feathering in. Also, our front and back doors needed to be repainted. So - a lot of work! And I am picky about quality. I chose Austin Professional Painting because they seemed well organized, well qualified, and ready to go at a scale of enough workers that we could get back to living in the downstairs of our house in a reasonable amount of time. Their comfort with good quality paint was also a key factor in my choice. So: the guys who came out to do the work, Carlos and Ivan - plus another couple of guys on certain days, were very nice, polite, and extremely hard working. They did a very good job and I am satisfied with the work. I would hire Austin Professional Painters again (and probably will this fall when we get around to renewing the master bath), and I definitely recommend them. I consider myself a DIYer, but in this case, I wanted something done professionally to make sure everything was nice and neat. While I had a basic idea of what I wanted, I debated getting a formal project manager to handle coordination of the full install. With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. We later hired a licensed plumber to inspect and correct the issue. Overall, the quality of work did not meet our expectations. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

Dan anchored everything to studs and fixed up the wall and it's been great ever since. Fast forward to today, where I've found myself in a boot situation. I ordered a custom shelf on Etsy that came in many pieces with heavy shelves. We figured we'd see if Dan could install and while he was at it, fix an outlet, fix an outdoor light fixture, hang an irritating heavy photo collage, and fix our bedroom door that keeps pulling apart at the hinges.
