Overall our experience wasn't too bad. It was a busy Saturday the the store was very busy. There was an attendant at the door entry, she made verbal contact to basically tell us that someone would help us when one is available, but could be 10 minutes or more. My wife was looking for purses/bags to add to her collection. They had plenty, tho in my view they looked mostly the same, just a few different types of materials with some accessories added. For me, at that cost, they should be outstanding and extremely different than anything else on the market. Tho, that's not the stores issue, that's an issue with designers back in their home country. We did have someone help us after a few minutes when they notice my wife behind a counter looking at a small bag. She dawned the gloves and got it unlocked and off the shelf. Very nice showcasing. Wife requested a different color, tho they didn't have it in stock. The experience wan't bad. It didn't feel like we were being snubbed or put off because we didn't buy that day, granted they didn't have exactly what she wanted anyway. read more

Okay, so like you, I've seen all the terrible reviews, and I was pretty nervous going to this location, but curiosity got the cat, and I wanted to see the new store after all the renovations were finished. I am pleased to say I had an amazing experience! Kristyn Miller was the best SA I could ask for. She took her time explaining the different pieces, made sure to show me what she thought I'd like, and let me take my absolute precious time trying on any and everything that caught my eye, and not once did I ever feel rushed or pressured to purchase anything. It was a little over an hour before I had decided on my top picks, and even then, at the end, when she went to wrap my items, I spoke with Vanessa, who also showed me excellent service in the interim. I will say that I did call before I went in without an appointment and could never get anyone to answer, so that was a little frustrating, but overall, once I was there, I had no complaints. Like 10 employees standing around with nothing to do. Gotta wait like ten minutes for the one and only person to show perfumes. When walking out, we're yelled at like a dog that she is finally ready to serve us. She had not one time asked what is my preference and how i ran into the wonderful channel perfume in Paris myself just 2 months ago. She only bragged that her knowledge is better than my experience in Paris at channel store. She seems pysco. Yelling at customers, and all other 10 employees should be able to shate, walking out to come back and them just be "a know it all". She looked me up and down and sold me perfume that smells likeTide laundry soap. Total waste of time and $190. read more

My daughter yesterday went to chanel store to buy a baume essentiel highlighter, because she finisher hers. The sales person a blonde hold women wasn't having any clue of this product and accused my daughter that was faking and she never bought a chanel product, and she told my daugther to go to Sephora, maybe she coiuld afford their cosmetic better. You should be ashamed to have such an impolite and uncultured people as a sales person. Remember when we buy online Chanel always send 2 free samples for any product you buy. This happened around May. I went here with my sister to buy a purse as a gift to myself for graduating law school and landing a Big Law job. After standing in line forever after a bunch of lookie-loos (almost no one walked out with a purchase but spent 20-30 mins each inside) FINALLY we made it inside. Items really aren't on display, and their website makes it a b*** to find out what you want. Not only does Chanel not ship, they have the ubiquitous "more in our boutiques" at the bottom. I made the mistake of telling my assigned shopper I "wanted to look around" and she let out a huge exasperated sigh and her eyes rolled into the back of her head. She was a petite, conventionally attractive middle-aged blonde, and I don't recall her name or if she gave me one. Immediately I knew I wasn't going to purchase, I was so mad. If you're going to drop over $4000 on a purse, you'd expect service. I was so put off by her attitude I don't think I'd *ever* go back. I ended up going to nearby Celine and buying my purse there for about $4600. I already have my next bags picked out for my bonuses, and I wouldn't return due to their rude, snobby attitude. read more

This is my second Chanel bag from this location. Both times I was warmly greeted and treated well. I get some people can not fathom buying a bag that costs this much, but those who know, know. It's like a watch collector or gun collector or whatever. My daughters can't wait for me to kick the bucket only so they can divvy up my purse collection. I'm not a fan of this store. As someone else mentioned, their website is useless. So you eget excited to drive an hour to the store to look around, except now they don't have handbags on display. While my saleswoman was very nice, they ask, what are you looking for... Well, how am I supposed to know if there isn't inventory online? I prefer having the bags on display and being able to view everything. I'm just not sure why they have it set up that way. read more

Love this location and staff. I went here recently to drop off of sunglasses for repair and I was greeted at door with a smile and a thousand "Welcome to Chanel's" I had an appointment. But I don't think it mattered. The staff showed me so much love and took care of me. I don't see the reason for the negative reviews. I definitely can not relate to a negative experience. After reading many of the reviews, one would probably not visit this location. HOWEVER, you need to go and ask for Caly. She was our representative there and is hands down the best person to work with, which will make you allow you to have your own opinion, but give her a chance to prove you wrong! Caly definitely knows how to treat you. We are not financially well off like Kanye West or some mogul that buys every color and style, but we have several pieces from Chanel. My wife loves the brand and appreciates it like how we men love our cars (stereotypes, I know - apologies!). Caly shows the same appreciation to not only the products from Chanel (HIGHLY INTELLIGENT about Chanel the brand/products), but understands that we could be spending our money at another location or another brand. I worked with her over the phone as we recently moved to LA, CA and talk about a seamless transaction. You stereotypically do not expect to get that kind of treatment from such an upscale place, but we certainly did. I know that we will always work with Caly no matter where we are in terms of location. It is rare to have someone treat you so well, especially in such an exclusive part of Dallas and of course, the brand Chanel. If you are looking for someone that knows their products, does everything possible to try to get what you want (let's face it, Chanel products are exclusive and sell out!), Caly would definitely be the best bet to help you moving forward. Great experience here. I have sent off repairs twice and purchased (and returned) once--all seamless. Our sales associate even comped me the $500 repair fee for one of my bags I bought at the original boutique in Paris. She didn't need to do that, so that was a wonderful surprise. I came in having a specific item in mind, but not sure about the size and color. It took a minute for one of the SAs (Wendy) to approach me but once she started to help me, it turned to be a great experience. she was very nice, knowledgeable and patient. I tried on a few purses until I found the perfect size and material I wanted, then I debated for a bit on the color and finally decided to be on the wait list for the one I really wanted instead of purchasing the one they had available at the store. Wendy was very attentive, showed nothing but professionalism and respect even after I decided not to make a purchase that day. Then as I was walking out of the door, I remembered I wanted a wallet as well, and she happily helped and worked with me to find the perfect one. TERRIBLE experience! My review here is for their ***male salespeople*** specifically and they think they are Karl Lagerfeld or something with their disgusting attitude. Need I remind you- you are a retail salesperson. Not a celebrity. Nor somebody I, as a customer, need to please. I moved to dallas from manhattan not so long ago and i own several chanel bags and shoes. I was quite disappointed I couldn't find chanel store at galleria and northpark and came here to check out their selection. At the time, I was looking for a certain bag which I would have to get on the waiting list for (i knew that going in) but the male salesperson that was helping me was not only rude but condescending in his tone of voice about getting me on the list! I'm not going to kiss his ass to 1) be on this stupid list to wait 6 months 2) and give him the commission for my purchase So I called my Chanel sales associate from Saks in New York and guess what you incompetent sucker, she got me the back in less than 3 weeks! I was happy to give her my business! Now, here is another reason this boutique got 1-star rating. This $4500-worht, 4-month old bag's strap has been broken (absolutely unacceptable, shame on you CHANEL. Everyone knows chanel's quality has long been compromised but this is seriously embarrassing on their part) But luckily, it's covered under their 1-year warranty. I had to resort to taking this broken bag to this boutique and... what was I expecting? Of course they are so unhelpful!! (It was a guy again, not sure if it was the same person though as the first time) I don't have the original receipt but kept the tag separately and showed them the picture of original receipt (all the numbers matched, the inventory barcode number matched on the receipt and everything) because I didn't have the PHYSICAL piece of paper, it was no-go. (Chanel boutiques in NEW YORK don't even have silly arrogant rules like this. ) I would be responsible to pay for the repair? SERIOUSLY? I told him "people don't expect such poor quality from really expensive, 4-month-old bag, which should have never been broken in the first place !!! He had balls to respond "BECAUSE IT'S AN EXPENSIVE ITEM, YOU SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP THE RECEIPT"..... ..what? EXCUSE ME?? Fortunately, the lady at saks offered for me to mail the bag to her and she will put a rush repair FOR FREE and will have it back around 4 weeks (as opposed to 6-8 weeks Dallas boutique told me) Anyone looking to invest on chanel bags, I say... save up and just buy HERMES! This place is as stuck up as can me. I stopped by this location while in town to pick up a new purse that I was hoping to get. Upon walking in, no one greeted us, nor bothered to help me. When I asked to see the certain bag I was looking for, the sales associate was as rude as possible about it. I asked to take a quick picture of it, and he said I was not allowed to do that and it was against policy. Weird because I have gone to all the stores in New York, and not a single person seemed to care if I took a billion photos. Due to the rude attitude and his unfriendly self, I made no purchase from here and flew to California to make a purchase instead. While the line to get in can not be the funnest part once inside we were introduced to Caly. When I say I've never met a more bubbly and personable person I mean it. She was very Sharp and quick. she was able to really guide us with what we should get even as the store was beginning to close. She was so patient and kind as someone who doesn't frequent high end stores like this often the whole process can cause a lot of anxiety to make sure you make the right choice. What is it with this location? I've never had good luck here, and my most recent experience this past week compelled me to write a review. For context: I travel internationally frequently and am a loyal Chanel client at boutiques all over the world. I spend thousands (sometimes tens of thousands) of dollars here each year, and am a long-time collector of vintage pieces, as well. I have never had a bad experience at ANY other location, whether it be Chicago, Beijing, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Paris, etc. Dallas? You'd think I was Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman" pre-makeover trying to shop on Rodeo Drive. I am always ignored--no matter if it's a Tuesday afternoon or a busy weekend. It's as if all of the SA's are constantly fawning over the foreign travelers that frequent the boutique; they've been profiled as being wealthy and likely to spend, so the rest of us just stand around hoping to be noticed. Last Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM, I called (I'm in Austin) and asked to speak to an SA specializing in costume jewelry; I was hoping to see photos of pre-fall and even assured the woman I spoke to that I planned to spend quite a bit (I have her name, but will maintain her privacy and keep it to myself). She said yes, let me call you right back, happy to help, I'm just finishing with another client. Perfect, no problem, thank you, here's my information. Then nothing. No call back, no follow-up--like, you've got to be kidding. You've got a polite, loyal customer even going so far as to promise that working with me will result in a considerable sale, and you can't even be bothered. I have NEVER had my calls, emails, etc. not returned in a prompt, attentive fashion at any other Chanel boutique, ever. I dress casually and don't draw attention to myself, yet I am consistently greeted and treated with respect wherever I go. Not in high-faulting Highland Park, apparently. The sales team there is very typical of any other luxury brand- You get sized up the moment you enter- The sales team believes they are the on the same level as the client and unless you are a noted regular, don't expect a warm welcome. I went to this Chanel boutique today and left feeling very displeased and treated much like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. My friend and I were both dressed nicely, but casually and went in to browse and to have them look at a bag I had recently acquired and wanted to know more about the bag. The woman, Ivette, whom I asked was extremely cold, rude, and downright discourteous. She behaved as if she couldn't get us out fast enough. After I asked about the bag I brought in (BTW, she wouldn't look at it or give me any comment about it), I asked if we could browse around. Sure, she said. So my friend and I go about our shopping and look around the boutique to see if there is anything we couldn't live without. She followed us around and hawkeyed us as if we were thieves ready to steal something. The way she looked at my friend was the rudest thing I have ever saw. She looked her up and down like she was a street urchin. I asked how I could sign up for their mailing list to receive a catalog or lookbook and she said snottily, "You must buy something first." I might not have been familiar with Chanel's bags; however, I am familiar with her clothing and perfume, especially vintage pieces. And I am familiar with and well read about Coco herself. It was completely opposite of what Chanel herself stood for. Coco Chanel was a poor hatmaker and became wealthy. She always incorporated her meager past into her designs. She would be horrified at the way things are run and how snotty these women are! Ivette did not know who I was or how much money either my friend and I had. While I don't usually get into a pissing match about materialistic crap, I will say that I drove a newer Lexus SUV, I had very large nice jewelry on, and I was carrying an authentic Louis Vuitton Speedy, but dressed casually. Too bad she didn't know who we were, we could have done business, and now this boutique will NEVER get my business! Boy, your sales would have grown nicely with the Chanel clothing that I intend to purchase over the next 12 months, but I guess Ivette is only nice when someone is spending money on the spot! And it's an unknown cardinal sin to ask Chanel whether a bag in your possession is authentic! I don't know why it's such a bag thing, I would think you wouldn't want someone walking around with or selling a fake! Too bad, the sales clerks in Beverly Hills last month were SOOO much kinder than this place and there, I didn't spend a dime, but was treated with respect. As always when walking in, the sales associates ignore me. Like seriously, last time there were at least 5 sales associates who were obviously not doing anything but refused to even recognize that I walked into the store. I've been in this store several times and sure I look young but really? The only thing that keeps me coming back is that I have found a wonderful SA there who helps me tremendously! I bought a Christmas gift for my grandmother during December and didn't return to the store until a few months later and she was wonderful enough to inquire if my grandmother liked the gift! The ivory lambskin Chanel 3 from the pre-fall '10 collection. Mmmm it is soo buttery and soft.
