The WORST MANAGER on duty on December 20, 2025, between 6 pm and 7 pm. I prefer not to post reviews on the website, but this one should be directed to the regional managers or the general manager of Marcos Pizza. This video footage should be reviewed, and appropriate disciplinary action should be taken against this wannabe manager. First of all, I have been a customer of this Marcos Pizza for many years now, and I have never had any issues with the employees or managers. However, the story changed on December 20, 2025. On this date, I was starving and had just returned from army training, considering I am a serviceman. I called Marcos Pizza at 6:38 pm, located at 2284 John Rolfe Parkway, Richmond, Virginia. The so-called manager on duty picked up the phone, and she told me to hold on. I waited for almost 10 minutes, but she did not return to talk to me. Since they were not able to take my order due to holding me for a longer time, I decided to place the order in person. When I arrived at the store, four employees were talking and laughing, but there were no customers present to place an order. I do not understand why holding the phone for this long was needed. I politely approached the person who identified herself as the manager and advised her that I had been on hold for a long time, and she admitted that she was the one who had placed me on hold. When I asked her if they were busy, considering there was no customer in person, she became irritated, her tone was high, and unprofessional. She told me, "I do not take your order, and you can leave." Instead of apologizing and taking my order, she clearly stated, 'I am not going to take your order.' I asked to speak to the manager, and she said, "I am the manager". WHAT? I was starving and had to wait on hold for a long time when there was no customer in the store. I spoke to her in a very professional manner and showed her my call logs, etc, but she first offended me with a loud tone and an unprofessional reaction to my question, and then told me she would not take my order. This is the worst manager I have ever dealt with. The video footage of her reaction to my question should be reviewed by the general manager or area manager. This person deserves disciplinary action. I am sure you can access the call logs or the numbers of all those that were placed on hold in your log. I am sure you can find the video footage of this so-called manager's reaction. Please review the number of employees present in the store between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, as well as the number of customers who were there between 6:30 pm and 6:40 pm. You will find many employees, but no customers. She might argue we have a lot of people who order for delivery, and we were working on that, but that is a false argument, as she was seen laughing, walking around, and not doing anything between this hour. Please check the video footage. As she said, if she were the manager of this location, she would be the worst manager at the location, has a bad temper, and is ready to confront customers who are there solely to order or get food. Solid pizza spot with weekly special and promos. I really like the garden pizza and the cheesy bread . They also have gluten free pizza and crust toppers. The quality of the dough is really good and fresh . The topping are also fresh and I also like the sauce . The cheesy bread is also bomb! Mediocre. Marco's is off the mark. The pizza is just average, although the price is right and they offer lots of deals and coupons. We got a flyer on our door so we decided to give them a go. I got a chicken Caesar salad, and I wasn't thrilled with it. Some of the lettuce was past its prime... and the chicken wasn't the best quality, it was processed pressed chicken. The cheezy bread could have been even cheesier, but they included some dipping sauces. The pizzas had a good amount of toppings, but the crust was too chewy for my taste. Ordered delivery...never received it. Called and person took our name and address and said we will comp next pizza as apparently went to our neighbors house. Ordered again a few weeks later and noted the situation and gave name and address only to be told, we don't do that and wouldn't have made that commitment....thats not what we do. Finally got to use the Free Pizza from an earlier Yelp event. I decided to pick up some pizza on my way home after a day at the spa haha. I had a certificate for a free pizza with two toppings with cheese. I saw their wings option and decided on a 10 piece BBQ wings and their cinnamon bread dessert. I remember the time that I had them at the Yelp event and made sure that I ordered it for the hubby to try! Put in my carryout order and was told that it would be done within 15 mins. I decided to take my time and came by to pick it up around the 20 min mark. They were on point and really easy to deal with. I really liked the fact that they even have Marco's reserved parking spot for quick 15 min pick up. It is a little bit on the expensive side, but really worth it when you finally get a chance to eat their product. Brought home and enjoyed with the hubby. I REALLY enjoyed their wings. They were cooked perfectly and the flavor was perfect. I've had wings before and these are by far my favorite (def not dried out!) The pizza was delicious (obviously) and I'm so glad that my husband got the chance to finally have some food from this location. Best for last...the cinnamon bread. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend getting their cinnamon bread. It tasted fantastic the day of and the next night! TL;DR: Delicious food; friendly staff Why have I not tried this place sooner? It was literally 2 minutes away from me! We were craving pizza and decided to try out this place that we drove by every day. We got there later in the night, and it seemed like they had already started cleaning up to close. However, that didn't stop them from greeting us and taking our order. (we felt really bad though). The staff was very patient with us, as we needed a minute to peruse the menu. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so we ended up ordering a lot. Food: Deluxe Pizza: your basic supreme style pizza. But the italian sausage that comes on it was so good. It tasted like they were mini homemade meatballs. The crust by itself was so good and flavorful; might be in competition for my favorite crust in RVA Cheezy bread: YES... I'm a carb lover, and this thing was delicious. Definitely very greasy since I think they top it off with some garlic butter or something, but it's definitely worth it. Philly cheesesteak: I had been craving a cheese steak for a while, and this hit the spot. It was so meaty, and you can add pretty much any toppings you want at no extra charge. I have seen this place a number of times but never had the chance to go in. So while I was at the pet store next to it as usual, I decided I would get a small pizza to go. I put in my order and then went back to the pet store to grab the things I needed. When I came back, I still needed to wait a few for it to be ready. The staff was very polite and friendly and the restaurant looked clean, which is always appealing. Then all of a sudden, my pizza ready and I took it to go. I'm not sure why I was so surprised, but I loved the pizza! I just got pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers on a pan-style crust. Not sure what they do, but it was super delicious! I arrived to my hotel in Short Pump late at night, and the area is not exactly a beehive of activity. It is a typical suburban desert, devoid of any decent food options outside of chains. However, Marco's was open. They were friendly over the phone and answered a barrage of questions before I ordered my pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. Often times, you order from a rando pizza place late and the food is terrible and takes an hour to show up. Not so with Marco's. They quoted me about 20 minutes. I was incredulous, to say the least. But about 25 minutes later, a friendly delivery guy showed up at my door with my pizza. The pizza was very similar to Domino's or Papa John's, but tasted less processes, much more fresh. On 19 December I placed an online order for pickup from Marcos on John Rolfe Pkwy. Online form asked me what time, I entered 5:30pm and placed the order at 4:25pm. Received an email confirmation. Left house, went to grocery store then swung by Marcos at 5:27pm. Order was not ready. No worries I was a couple minutes early. About 5 minutes later another employee asked my name and what I was waiting for (now 5:32pm). Gave him the info, he checked said not ready yet but should be in 10 to 15 minutes. I waited and after 17 more minutes the manager asked if I had been helped. I told her yes. Same guy asked me my name and what I ordered again. We are now 17 minutes past pick up time I entered online. He checked, still nothing and asked manager if she knew anything about my order. Manager said no, she did not see it. After hearing this, I walked up to register and said I needed to go as had groceries in the car and wanted a refund. Manager came up to register and then actually pulled up my order saying it had been "deferred" by the system for pickup at 6:15pm. That was 45 minutes after time I entered and 25 minutes from time she told me this. She said I could wait as she would have the food prepared. Told her no, I waited long enough without anyone really checking anything and that it was not a good business practice that their "system" without notifying me at time of order placement "deferred" my order to a later time. They gladly let me choose 5:30pm and take my money. She refunded my card and I left empty handed after waiting 23 minutes. This was my first and likely last experience at Marcos. There are too many great pizza places around to have Marcos "system" over riding my chosen pick up time. Especially after I placed my order an hour in advance. Be careful placing your orders online...just because you choose a time does not mean in anyway that Marcos will honor it and then when they don't they blame it on the "system". Great pizza place. They offer many specials and lunch specials offered daily. They're conveniently located near residences and business and offer delivery. The pizza dough is made fresh daily. We've had several of their pizzas and all have been delicious. While they do offer dine in, their space is very limited. What Marco's keeps as a secret and it's not posted is that they offer a military discount of 15% off. Here's the most important part to remember. They do NOT offer the military discount on any of their specials. That's the bad part of the deal. If you truly appreciate the military, then why not give the special on everything including specials. I took away one star because no place is perfect and an additional star because I've patronized Marco's many times and never offered the military discount, so I've lost out on some money. Tip for the owners, please post that you offer a military discount and consider providing a military discount on anything that active duty military and veterans purchase. read more

Got to experience Marcos last night at the yelp elite event. Super friendly owner and helpful staff, over at the location near short pump. The place itself is pretty small, but still enough space for a small party or hangout with friends. They served us all sorts of pizza, with different style crusts as well. The pizza was really good with a nice thick layer of cheese which I love in my pizza. The "pan" style crust was crispy on the outside but had a nice soft texture in the middle During the event, they also brought out cheesy bread and I believe it was garlic bread with marinara sauce on the side along with a ridiculously good cinnamon glazed bread. They also served salad along with everything listed above. Super generous amounts of food, thank you for an awesome time and better food! Definitely check them out or if your looking for a place to pick your pizzas up for the games this weekend, pick up from Marcos! read more

Solid performance on traditional crust pizza, thin crust is YMMV, with the proviso that the gluten free thin crust is surprisingly good. So good that I didn't realize it was GF until someone told me. Another solid: despite being a chain, they have a commitment to locally sourced ingredients (whenever possible), so there's that, too. It's carryout and delivery only, pretty much, although there are some tables. If you're in western Henrico, this would be a good place to add to your Dial Up Delivery Dinner roster. Nice staff and very clean place. You can tell the kitchen is clean too. I've only had 2 items here, the antipasto salad, which they do a really good job with. They keep it simple w lettuce, tomatoes and high quality meat and cheese sliced thinly over the top. The chicken wings, however, I have to say something about. Quite possibly the worst chicken wings I've ever had. I understand they are likely preordered frozen and fried but they need to get with their distributor and possibly find a better version. I've only tried them once but they were absolutely covered in fat and flaccid. More fat than meat on them to the point where they were nearly inedible unless you peeled off the thick layers of fat. Major yuck. If they make a change to the wings, please let me know as I'd definitely try them again and up my rating. Sorry to say I can't speak to the pizza yet but will try it soon in the future. Upping my review from 3 to 4 stars. Tried the pizza for the first time today. Very enjoyable. Actual toppings that aren't from a freezer. A lot of pizza places around here put sausage on a pizza....the sausage looks like rabbit pellets out of a freezer and tastes nothing like real italian sausage. Marcos sausage pizza actual has large bites of real actual sausage. The dough is not premade and you can tell. Just fix those wings of yours and you may have something here. We ordered pizza for dinner. The total order was $14. When delivered I gave the delivery man a $5 tip. Imagine our disappointment when we found the pizza to be stone cold. In addition the pizza had very little tomato sauce on it. It was absolutely unacceptable and not up to the usual standards of Marcos. I called to register my dissatisfaction and talked with the person who claimed to be the manager. After outlining my compliant, his response was " duh, I'm sorry". This place has one of the best customer service pizza places I've ever been too! I ordered a large 2 topping pizza and a salad for carryout. When I showed up, they immediately were welcoming and friendly. The wait time they gave me was also accurate. Upon my pizza coming fresh right out of the oven, they place the pizza in front of you and open it up to show you what you ordered and to make sure it was correct. I don't think I've ever been to a pizza place that has done that! They were all super friendly too as I paid and left. I live 4 minutes away, ordered on a tuesday evening at like 8pm. I had the flu so i chose delivery otherwise i would have just went myself. They forgot my order because the estimated time came and went. i called and they told me it was going to leave with the driver. it took an additional 40 minutes for my pizza to arrive, i live 4 minutes away. Good, dependable pizza. Usually our go-to each week for the last couple of months since moving into town. Friendly staff and delivery has always been on schedule if not considerably faster. This is my second time ordering from this location of Marco's Pizza. I have ordered for delivery both times. The pizza tastes great! Their dough and sauce are very good. So good I even eat the crust which is not typical of me. I'm giving three stars because each time I have ordered a 2 liter soda with the pizza and both times they have forgotten the drink. When I have asked where the drink is, they ask if I ordered it - as if it was overlooked on the ticket. So each time, I have had to wait another 15-20 minutes for them to go back and make another delivery. I was understanding the first time, so decided to give it another shot. Recently moved over by the ridgefield location and have ordered a few times from Marcos. Let me tell you, best pizza I've had around here in a very long time. Super fast, gets here piping hot, tastes like it's home made and quality service every time. This is my new pizza spot hands down. And they opened right when around when I moved in, lucky me!! Update: I received calls from upper management regarding this situation. They were both very kind. It may be a minute before I go back, but I appreciate the immediate responses and great customer service. That's the type of customer service I had been used to for years. If I could give this a negative review, I would. I am a very good customer at this store, and I've never had an issue with customer service until I encountered Brynn. On December 28 at 5 pm, I had a very rude encounter with Brynn who felt that since she's a manager that she can talk to me rudely. I ordered curbside as your app states I can and I've done many times prior. I watched my pizza sit there for 10 minutes as I sat in the car. There was no one in the kitchen area. Not a single person. Another customer eventually walked in and stood. Since my app wasn't working properly, I called the store to check in. Brynn finally appeared in the kitchen and brought me my pizza. Let me be clear. There was not one person in the store for a while until the man appeared moments before Brynn. When she gave me the pizza, I asked if it was cold. She said sarcastically that it was sitting under a heater. I wanted her to understand why I asked (that it had been sitting). In a smart ass tone she told me that I could have just come in and got it myself. How could I when no one was there? I responded that the option shouldn't be on the app if they aren't willing to do it. I further stated that I was a customer and her rudeness was unwarranted. I've never been spoken to this way by ant employee of this establishment before. She said she was busy and as she walked away, I told her I would be calling the manager. She laughed and said she was the manager. I immediately got out of my car and went into the store to find the general or district manager's name and number. Brynn was on the phone. I found a business card on the counter with the GM's name on it. I asked her if this was the right person and she rudely said, "Call her!" I asked for her smart mouth name. She said, "Brynn. B-R_Y-N-N!" I will NOT be spoken to like that by anyone, especially when I'm paying for something. And especially not by a child. She was so disrespectful! Pretty good pizza place. Clean environment with friendly owners. They primarily offer take out/delivery, but they do have tables for eating in. I wouldn't say this is my favorite pizza in Richmond, but it's definitely better than Dominos. They use actual cheese that they measure on their pizzas, make their own sauce with a hybrid tomato, the toppings are put on the very edge of the pizza, and they put oil on the crust.
