The food is yummy. Been going to this restaurant for several years. My favorite is the homestyle bean curd that comes with white rice. We always get veggie egg rolls. The service is fast. Usually takes them 10-15mins to complete the order. The restaurant could be in a better well lit area. Inside the restaurant is maybe two small tables, I assume most people just order take out. Chang Jiang Chinese Kitchen is a hidden gem in Lake County! I have been looking for a local Chinese restaurant and Chang Jiang had a delicious menu to choose from, friendly staff, and great prices! While they are not offering the option to dine in, they do have a quick and easy way to order. When walking in you'll be able to see the large menu on the wall and pickup a paper menu to mark what you'd like to order. When visiting they seemed quite busy with pick up orders but I did not have to wait long for my order to be ready. A nice perk is that you're able to customize your dish to be spicy or hot! This is our family's favorite Chinese food in the area. The staff are nice. Their food taste great and the prices are good. We usually get beef broccoli, Mongolian beef, Chow Mein, Lo Mein, Sour soup, Fried Chicken wings, fried rice, and also the best sesame balls for desert. I highly recommend this place if you like to eat real traditional Chinese food. read more

Best Chinese food I've ever had. The amount of food you get for the price is well worth it. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The family who owns it is amazing, the customer service is the best too. There's only a 10 minute wait for most of the food and if you call ahead you never have to wait. This restaurant is in a terrible area. But damn, it is delicious. The food here is much better than ming toy in Waukegan, and should have more reviews/a higher rating. Decent little spot. 3 or 4 tables for sit down eating. The kitchen is visible right behind the counter. No frills kinds of place. They did prepare my food right in front of me after ordering. I had the chicken fried rice (small) it was a good sized portion. The chicken fried rice was good but not great. Overall a good spot for a quick meal at the right price. Good. Very good price. Most importantly consistent in flavoring and cooking-- was my first meal in Zion and have been back 20+ times. General Tsao Chicken is perfect. Typical Chinese menu is present. The best Chinese in Northern Lake County. Consistently good, inexpensive and quick take-out - I don't recommend eating there, though, since there are only two old wobbly tables next to the window. We like Orange Chicken, Moo Shoo Pork, General Tso's Chicken and Broccoli Beef. The Crab Rangoon is really good, too. read more

I have patronized this restaurant for over 10 years and have been pleased with it. I ordered the Shrimp and Broccoli on Friday, 2/28 and the shrimp smelled and tasted funny. After becoming ill all that night and next day, I contacted the restaurant and told them I thought there was something wrong with the shrimp. I asked if I could get my money back since I didn't eat it all. They said emphatically NO MONEY BACK since no one else complained. I told them I would never buy food from them again and I would tell everyone not to patronize. read more
