Sweet and Sour chicken with fried rice lunch special comes with an egg roll

Good amount of portion for lunch this was for $9.40. The rice tasted a bit burnt but overall good. Service was fast as well didn't have to wait for too long.

For 9 bucks, you can't beat this lunch special: a full order of Sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice, with a egg roll and crab rangoon on the side. This was enough food to easily be two meals. First time that I've seen spicy sesame chicken, so keep that in mind if you want it mild make sure to ask. Check it out!

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews! I'm from out of town but in the week I've been here I've tried a few Chinese takeout places, and this was by far my favorite. I got the General Tso's chicken combo which came with shrimp fried rice, an egg roll, and a crab rangoon. The chicken was moist and there was plenty of sauce - yum! The rice, roll, and rangoon were all delicious. No tables so be prepared to take it to-go.

Their combination fried rice and orange chicken are very good. They now accept credit cards. Double win!

Solid Chinese food. It's what you expect from a carryout Chinese restaraunt. There's two chairs to wait and the rest of the restaurant is the kitchen. The large sized entrees are huge and provide a couple of meals worth of food. Lots of veggies in the cashew chicken and kung bao chicken which was a nice change. It hits the spot when you crave Chinese food and don't want to visit a chain.

Great place for grub. Food is really good and very affordable. No room for dining in. Only carry out though.

Sweet and sour chicken sauce on the side just like I like it I have all this left over after I ate till I was stuffed

The food is great. I recommend this business for Chinese food. Unfortunately it is only takeout though.

The menu has a wide variety of options--everything from sushi to ramen--so it worked perfectly for our larger group since everyone could find something they liked. Even in the middle of the day (around 3:00 PM), they were able to seat all of us together with no issue, which was much appreciated. Service was a little on the slower side, but the staff was attentive and kind, making sure we had what we needed. The food itself was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and presented well. Prices were right around what I expected for this type of restaurant, and definitely worth it for the quality and portion sizes. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, making it an easy spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. Plus, the air conditioning was a huge bonus in the North Chicago heat! Recommend this spot if you're in the area, especially if you have a group and want lots of options to choose from.

Very limited options. As we were waiting to order I allowed my 2 family members to order first so he started making their food while im standing there waiting. in the meantime a mess up of his came back and he proceeded to remake that order before taking care of me as i was already waiting. i allowed it without saying anything. 15 minutes later of me standing there he proceeded to ask me "what you want". I gave him my order which was pretty simple and I did ask for my meat to be cooked well done and extra teriyaki sauce. I proceeded to wait another 10 minutes at the table for my food and went back to check to find my order sitting by the hibachi place with the chicken being white on my plate, clearly undercooked, half of what I had ordered was missing off the plate and there was no teriyaki. After realizing that when I got to the table, I was so upset and just called over the server to let her know what happened and if she could take me off the bill since I haven't ate. to which she proceeded to just bring me the bill how it was. so i called her over again and asked again if she can take me off because i was not able to enjoy any food. her manager came over to the table, didnt introduce herself or anything just said "whats your problem?" so i told her the same thing, she took the bill to go take me off and came back and aggressively returned the adjusted check on the table. On the way out, there was a bowl of apples and my aunt thought it was just for people to take, she is a little older, but the same manager that adjusted the bill came running out of her office screaming at us like we were stealing, mind you FOR AN APPLE. Disgusting. I am so disappointed that we paid for that disgusting service and tipped too. Only good thing was the place was slightly cleaner than others. If i could give 0 stars I still would.

As for the food, we found the combinations interesting. I really enjoyed the chicharrones & guacamole. Some of the best guacamole I've had in a while. We enjoyed the chicken satay, chicken flautas, birria tacos (not pictured), lobster noodles, and churros dessert. Small constructive advice would be that some items were sold out from a limited menu, and we arrived right as the restaurant opened. This limited our choices. The chicken satay was delicious, but not as easy to eat, because of variability of the meat size on the skewers. The flautas were also delicious, and apparently made with homemade tortillas (yum!) but the accompanying sauces were way too hot and spicy to enjoy -- maybe serve with one mild and one spicy sauce? The atmosphere was great, and our server, Leticia, was also great. She told us that she was newer, but she was very friendly and pleasant. We had a good experience and the food and service was better than expected in a casino environment.
