Cute little cafe with some nice coffee selections. It's on a busy one way street, so parking may be difficult. Their pastries were pretty tasty and they had some really cute choices like a bacon cheddar scone. Very flavorful, large, and wasn't dry at all. Their coffee was also good. My only downfall was that nothing we got was hot. It wasn't cold, but leaned more towards warm than anything else. On a cold windy day like today, I could've really appreciated a hotter beverage. I was also surprised to not see any sort of donut out considering the name of the shop. Wish there was. Otherwise, it was an adorable place, the workers were friendly and attentive, and it was worth stopping in.

Small shop with friendly curbside ordering and pickup during Covid times. Donuts were good though short of elite. Coffee was very good. Service was excellent. Honey Dipped: Glistening exterior, slightly stiff interior. Chocolate honey dipped: Similar to the honey dipped, but with more give and subtle chocolatey flavor. Coconut: The one I least wanted to order was the one that was the brightest star that morning. Two kinds of coconut, densely pa led on the surface, and a soft, fresh interior with ginger notes. A win. Lemon Filled: Another fresh one, with a thick filling more tart than sweet.

A nice neighborhood cafe in Newburyport with friendly workers. I came midmorning during the week and got a few donuts including oreo, strawberry chocolate, lemon filled, and a cinnamon roll. The donuts were really good, soft, pillowy, and good flavors. The lemon filling wasn't too tart, but was still lemony. Tons of oreo toppings made it a great ratio for donut to frosting/topping. On the other hand, the cinnamon roll still had that soft brioche, but was lacking a lot of cinnamon sugar to it. It's like the middle had everything and the sides poofed up with nothing. Overall, a great place to visit and I'd recommend checking this place out.

I didn't see any so I asked the young woman near the bread section. She couldn't speak English and just pointed at the bread and began giggling, as did the other worker next to her. I asked again and asked if there was anybody that spoke English. She called over a guy who apparently didn't speak English either. I asked him and he did the same - pointed at the bread, while the two girls giggled. There was no Anadama bread and apparently no English. This is poor customer service. If you're going to hire workers who can't speak English, they shouldn't be dealing with customers. It's very frustrating trying to communicate with people that can't understand and act disrespectfully to customers. I emailed the business to express my disappointment and frustration with my experience but have heard nothing back which is a further disappointment. Update: After another attempt at contacting them, this time via FACEBOOK, I heard back immediately and was taken seriously and assured it would be dealt with. She explained that those workers are bakers and aren't required to speak fluent English but will still talk with them about what happened.

** Burger and Donut Review **…read more Outstanding space with a rustic modern look, a 4-sided bar, balanced seating (booths, tables, high-tops), an outdoor patio, and a private room. My wife and I had the pleasure of sitting in seats more akin to living room furniture-- that's a good thing. Also good was the breeze that blew in from the deck on a hot day. -- Blackened Cod Sandwich: This was my wife's lunch and it looked very good, with a brioche bun, and no shortage of condiments. Most importantly, the tall portion of fish was very moist and very well seasoned. My small taste didn't have the classic "blackened" vibe, but it was very good. A mini basket of fries provided plenty. Probably frozen, but good quality and a good balance between crisp and droopy. -- Dry Aged Burger: As a burger aficionado, that's what I came for, and a dry aged one-- a rarity around Boston, sadly-- gets my attention immediately. This one, ordered medium rare, brought a decent crust and decent moistness inside, though both could be more pronounced. It was probably closer to medium than medium rare, and the brioche bun was a white bready under the dome, but it worked. The dry aged flavor came through immediately. Good supporting cast among the sauces and vegetation, and same fry basket treatment as on my wife's plate. Overall, good instead of the hoped-for great. -- Donuts: We came at brunch, so this was a nice option for us to treat as a dessert. My opening came when I saw another server walk by with a plate and I asked her upon returning, "What was that plate of meatball-looking things?" She said those were the apple cider donut bites, and proceeded to gush that they were her favorite thing on the menu and a don't-miss item. This prevented me from having to twist my wife's arm, so it was a done deal. The "bites" were fairly large, closer to baseball size than golfball size, with a nice thick outer crunch yielding to a very warm, still-moist-but-fully-cooked interior. Delicious cinnamon flavor on the outside, natural donut dough flavor inside, and kicked up by a thin, cinnamon-maple sauce underneath and a whipped cream (they called it and vanilla anglaise) on the sides. Fantastic, and in an era when "artisan" donuts run $5 apiece even out of a fridge, getting six warm ones of higher quality for $12 was a steal. The burger was closer to good than great, but overall a good meal, good service, great space, and surprisingly good value (on all three items). I'd be interested to try them for dinner.

As to be expected in a store like this some of the stuff is crap but other stuff is pretty nice. Nothing really nice but sometimes pretty nice is nice enough. Inside is crowded and chaotic. Always seems a lot of people in here and it's difficult to move around. Takes a bit of patience but it's not too bad. It tends to over flow with stuff so they put some of it out in front on the sidewalk. Gives it a pleasantly tacky look. One of the things they really advertise are the 25 cent hot dogs. I would never get the courage to actually try one and I suspect they aren't exactly the highest quality but just seeing the price is kind of cool. The prices inside on most of the stuff inside is dirt cheap. I got some six buck T-shirts that didn't even shrink five sizes when I washed them. This place is exactly what it seems. It is an anachronism that manages to survive in a rather expensive and ritzy town like Newburyport just be being itself. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful even in middle of all the crazy activity that is going on. It's a cheap place that has lots of cheap but decent stuff. All kinds of weird and quirky things and always messy. Just the type of place that I enjoy
