I used to recommend this place all the time. I will never recommend them again! I brought my 84-year-old mother in to get some new bras. They had to order her a couple and she paid for them. That was in November. It is now February. These people refuse to answer the phone. They only communicate by text. She is 84! We finally got a hold of someone and they refuse to give her a refund because they gave her "a birthday discount". They have now been holding onto her money since November and told her they have no idea when the bras will be in. All we want is a refund and they refused to do so. Absolutely disgusting customer service and a horrible way to treat an elderly woman. Shame on them! If I could give them zero stars, I would. Very disappointing read more

Posting anonymously out of respect for my daughter, but I feel strongly that this needs to be said. We visited Chantilly Lace in Wilmette today, and I was completely stunned by the behavior of the owner. When we asked for help, she dismissed us without a second glance--as if we didn't belong. If it hadn't been for a remarkable salesperson named Bella, we would've walked out on the spot. Bella was calm, respectful, and incredibly kind to my daughter. She treated her with dignity and care during a difficult and deeply personal fitting process. It's important to note: very few places still offer this level of specialized help. Bella did it with grace--and was then openly mocked by the owner in front of us. That a younger business owner would belittle a more experienced and clearly valued staff member, especially in front of customers, is not just unprofessional--it borders on workplace harassment. When I got home, I looked up reviews- multiple sites. The pattern is undeniable: customers repeatedly praise the staff--while calling out the owner's outrageous behavior. And disturbingly, she often responds to reviews by insulting the customers themselves. One person described how a disabled individual was ridiculed. Sadly, this has become more common. A boutique in Northbrook called Such a Deal became notorious for shaming young girls who didn't match the owner's preferred body type. That store eventually closed. Max's in Highland Park also developed a reputation for demeaning its customers. While it's still open, the backlash permanently altered its client base--and its standing in the community. To Bella: thank you. You were the only reason we stayed. You treated my daughter like she mattered. You deserve better. read more

I used to get fitted for bras at Neimans pre pandemic, but have been resorting to online shopping during the past few years. My third love bras weren't really cutting it when it came to fit/support. A friend raved about Chantilly so I made an appointment online with Erica to check it out. I was super late for my appt (story of my life...I blame my children). Erica was tied up when I got there, but another sales associate got me started right away. Her name is escaping me, which is too bad because she was super helpful. 30 minutes later I left with several bras of all kinds (regular, strapless, etc). I also left $1000 poorer, but they fit way better than what I've been wearing and think they'll last me at least a few years. It also looks like a great store for other undergarments and swim, but I saved that shopping for another time. read more

Was long overdue (as in years) for a fitting and I finally went in a few weeks ago during an enticing sale. I booked a fitting with Larisa, the owner. Not only is she a lingerie expert but she is friendly and thoughtful during what can be an uncomfortable experience. She genuinely enjoys educating her current and future clients with her Instagram reels and email blasts which are also entertaining. Her enthusiasm is authentic and I could feel it during my session as she patiently brought different selections for me to try. I left with six bras of different colors and styles. Five stunning every day bras (which is hard to believe because they are so pretty) and a gorgeous sports bra. The store offers complimentary alterations so the bra will fit just right. The entire staff is friendly and passionate about lingerie and the store is very well organized and has cute decor. I will be back sooner than I thought I would because I want some different colors. Surely they must have that sports bra in some version of purple! Valen is the personal shopper for the store and she sends out emails reminding us what we bought, so Chantilly Lace makes it very easy to expand one's collection! I'm starting to get ready for my wedding, which is very exciting and very terrifying. As I'm approaching the time to start dress shopping I knew I wanted to get my undergarments first. This is not a strength or interest of mine in typical times so this seemed like a daunting task at hand (my bras are usually from the workout clothing area of Target!) I knew I'd need pro help but even finding that seemed overwhelming. I thankfully found Chantilly Lace online and gave them a call. I was put at ease immediately and even was looking forward to my appointment after taking to the woman on the phone. I made an appt with Erica and everything from start to finish was perfect. Bella the owner/manager greeted me at the door and Erica was ready for me. She took measurements and I gave her some sample photos of what my dress would most likely look like. Everything she brought me was a hole in one! I got a very comfortable but supportive bra, shaper panties/shorts and even picked up a new bralette for my every day wear (move over Target!) One of the best places for bra fitting that I have ever visited. I live downtown Chicago and traveled an hour plus just to experience this. Number one, their fitter is absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and infinitely patient. I came for one bra and left with 4 or 5 plus other items.I am relatively fit body but very top heavy and whatever I order online I end up returning every single bra or sports bra. Now I know what size I am and what styles fit so my life is easier. Just wish they opened one in Chicago. Number two, their stock is mind blowing. So many styles and so much inventory to keep must be costly for the business. Thank you Number three they have bathing suites! Do you have any idea how hard it is to find one of those that actually fit? Anyhow, their inventory is new and modern as well as well ticked with classic pieces. Chantilly moved to a new location in downtown Wilmette, Ill. The new store is a cozy wonderland filled with beautiful design, soothing/relaxed vibe, and whimsical details...fun colors, wallpaper, custom fixtures....not to mention the fitting rooms! Each named and themed with different city vibes from the owner's favorite places Around the world. if you want to up your game with lingerie, lounge/sleep wear, swim wear, and the literal best bra fitters I've ever worked with- this is your place! OMG- Erika found me the best strapless bra EVER last weekend! Kinda embarrassed at my old ones after being properly fitted and finding a comfortable strapless bra that felt and looked great- even under a T-shirt! I have Lyme Disease and well with it comes thyroid issues. pain, eyesight issues and a ton more. I asked the owner to help me buy a bathing suit. I was in able to come to the store She used me to model when I was able and we went to high school together. I figured she would have no problem helping me and she knows my sizes. It's a win win for everyone. Her response "Cut the dramatics. You aren't disabled. We don't have the capacity to go back and forth and handle returns long distance. Swim has to be tried on, just like bras". Floored. I got bathing suits 9k$ later returning and sending back. I will never go to this store again nor will I recommend it. I took this review down during covid. I am not up for ruining businesses but not to take a person seriously when on disability (and I don't like to tell people this) is pretty disturbing. Based on other reviews, I drove up from Lincoln Park to reset my bra selection. Over 65, some weight gains and losses over the years. PARK was my deeply knowledgeable guide on which bras (and shape wear would work under two garments I brought along. Her targeted advice on how high/low the bras should be on my torso, how to blend shape wear into my bra, etc. have made it possible for me to now wear some clingy items I've been avoiding. My all time favorite place for bras and swim wear. This place an absolute gem. The owner has put together an amazing collection of high quality items that are so beautiful and highly functional. The expertise of the staff is amazing and they really care about getting the best fit for their customers. My first fitting took some time as the first fitter was putting me in bands that were a bit tight but another great fitter picked up on what was happening, stepped in pulled the most gorgeous perfect bras for me. Lace gorgeousness that magically works for everyday wear, T-shirt bras, sport bras, underwear, luscious robes-- all of it! I've also been there for swimwear and they found the most flattering, high quality suit I could imagine. After shopping at Chantilly Lace it's hard to think of going back to bra shopping anywhere else. Their selection is incredible and their staff is dedicated to customer experience in a really special way that is rare to find in today's retail landscape. Very low vision/blind and I let Erica know when setting up this appt. I let her know that I'd need extra assistance and she let me know she'd leave a note and tell my fitter next time she saw her. When I met my fitter, Bella, it became clear to me that my special needs were communicated to her and she was happy to assist. During my entire stay I was treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. I'm not a small girl so I'm used to having about two or three options when I go to a specialty shop. I tried to purchase an item that I had purchased previously (wheni encountered the same rather icy behavior), and the woman said she would call me right back. Three weeks later, no call, so I just called and she looked up my previous order but didn't have my size in stock and she couldn't wait to hang up. She told me that she had a lot of Christmas orders to get out and she had to get off the phone so not interested in helping me any further and very short with me. My take is that they are very nice to the big spenders in wealthy Wilmette, but rather classist in their attitude toward those of us with more normal needs. read more

Best place to get lingere in the north shore! I was first introduced to chantilly lace after receiving a gift card for my wedding. I booked an appointment with Bella and after that day I was forever changed. At first I was weary of finding something sexy from a shop that sported nightgowns, and other more womanly styles, however Bella HOOKED ME UP. She also showed me how to properly put on a bra and allow my breasts to fill up the cup to look my full and flattering. Thank you Bella! After that day I've been a regular and frequently come to get sexy sets to spice up my life. I recently have dove into their sleepwear and sports bras. I was very excited to be getting new bras, after being pregnant or nursing for the past 5.5 years, I didn't even know my size. I walked in, was greeted warmly, they sized me and gave me a bra to try on to verify the size. Then Larissa took me to the sale section (I was very lucky to have arrived during a sale!), and handed me at least a dozen that fit my requirements (slightly padded, underwear, etc). I found all the bras to be exceptional, obviously better than department store style and quality, and blows victoria secrets out of the water! I easily found a 'work horse' bra and a fun/sexy one, in addition to pajamas. And since I'm always stretched for time, I did all this in less than 30 minutes. As a bride getting ready for her honeymoon and upgrading my underwear, they took such time with me, showed me special collections, no undue pressure, helped me find my perfect fit... They were even understanding about me needing to come back the next day with a friend to make my purchases. I can honestly say I've never had such wonderfully thoughtful customer service. If I knew that I could feel this good about myself I would have done this long ago at this establishment. Soma seemed like that fit me good but NO way, changed my mind. I was referred to this store because I was told it is the best place to get expertly fitted for a bra. What a discovery! It is a boutique shop with totally personalized service, and lingerie you won't see anywhere else. I loved discovering some of the extra offerings such as sun dresses and comfy tops...some pricey, but enough moderately priced stuff mixed in for the budget minded. This is like the candy store of lingerie, with personality plus compliments of the store owner, Larisa! Not sure how she does it; making sure each customer is well looked after and made important even when she is juggling several.
