    Noodle bowl

This is one of the best restaurants in Chattanooga. It's not the cleanest looking restaurant, but it is a great bowl of noodles. They also offer a ton of spices including Sichuan lajiao.

Stop reading and head over here! Favorite food of our trip to Chatt. Mom and pop Mongolian grill that offers both the typical build your own bowl OR the option to do a seafood boil. Highly customizable, as you grab a bowl and make your way down the food bar to choose proteins, veggies, seasonings, and then build your own sauce bowl. At the end of the buffet, you hand them your bowls, tell them what starch you want (rice, brown rice, or noodles) and they hand you a number to place at your table. Our drinks and soup were there waiting for us when we got back to our table. So many options to choose from and our table faves were steak, shrimp, chicken, pineapple, broccoli, water chestnuts, zucchini, carrots, and the noodles. Make sure to utilize the seasonings, as we had to add more once we tasted our food. Favorite kid sauce combo was teriyaki, sweet and sour, with sesame sauce. I really liked sesame, teriyaki, Chao favorite, and a touch of Szechuan (which has a touch of garlic and chili pepper) We had discussed driving down to Chatt for the day, specifically to come back to this restaurant, if that tells you how much we enjoyed our meal. Our picky children proclaimed that this was the "best restaurant EVER," so you know it's good!

Great hibachi food. Fresh bowl with fried rice. Quick and courteous customer service. Very spacious for sit down. Place was very clean. Also check out the women's bathroom. Everything checked out in decent order. You get your money's worth. Food is very tasty

Young gentleman that made sure I had my raw garlic from the back!!

I'm doing this review before receiving my food due to the best customer service I've ever received from n any dining experience. The whole staff from the gentleman doing the seating to the young woman behind the counter explaining how everything works to the gentleman who you give your bowl to so they can cook it for you, I'm the extra raw garlic guy!! If I lived around here, I would have definitely be a regular.

My boyfriend always talks about how he loves to go to chaos's for lunch with his work group. He finally decided to take me and this place is so delicious. They have so many choices to choose from. The house favorite sauce is a 10/10.

The food is always amazing! I love the variety and the fresh ingredients. The staff is very friendly as well.

We ordered both the pulled pork sandwich and pulled chicken sandwich, and it was fun being able to try two of the barbecue options. Both were satisfying, flavorful choices and made for a great casual meal while we were exploring Chattanooga. I especially enjoyed the local, no-frills feel. Chattanooga has plenty of dining options competing for visitors, but there's something about finding a barbecue place that feels more like a neighborhood stop than a tourist attraction. If you're craving a pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwich while you're in Chattanooga, Hickory Pit BBQ is definitely worth checking out. Come hungry, grab some barbecue, and enjoy a little local Tennessee flavor!

We got several platters (chicken and pork) and various sides. Everything was so good and tasted like your family made it for you. Some standout items: the coleslaw is super finely chopped which gives it a really good texture, flavor is great. The potato salad was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The pork was so Smokey and tender. Their sauce is super great, would pour that on everything. The fried okra was so tasty, we ate every piece. They have so much cheese in the poppers, delicious. If you're passing through the East Ridge area of Chattanooga, I highly suggest checking out this awesome spot for great food at an even better price. Thanks for the great experience!

He also said since I was clearly a newbie - to tell them and I'd get a free banana pudding. The gal behind the counter was nice and able to make some recommendations on the menu. It took about 20 minutes to get my food but, when it came out it was delicious and fresh. The pulled pork was perfectly smoked and had some black spots (delish). I chose the baked beans and potato salad as my sides. Potato salad was delicious and the baked beans had some pulled pork inside. The banana pudding was probably some of the best I've had. Bananas were completely fresh and loaded with fresh waifers. A lot of times if they make it in bulk, the waifers are soft and bananas are brownish. Not here, fresh as if they made it to order.... noms! I loved sitting out on the deck at sunset and enjoyed myself quite a bit. They do have tons of seating inside in a more bar atmosphere and had a large area with some playhouses for children. Located in a great shopping center with a bunch of order shops: Coffee shops, Whole Foods, Banks, Puppy Bakery, etc. Plenty of parking in front.

The price for the food was okay - pricier than other places but the portions were generous. The meat was tender and juicy but there's no smoky flavor or smoke ring. It doesn't even smell smoky around the restaurant. It was also not really seasoned. We tried pork, brisket, and chicken. Nothing bad but nothing great. The baked beans and macaroni and cheese deserve accolades though and bump a star. We did try the nachos and the chips were pretty bland and disappointing. Overall I think the meats need better seasoning as things tended towards bland. Maybe we went on an off day. It was around 2 p.m. and we were the only people there. We were pretty hyped to try it because of the reviews but left a bit disappointed. For comparison, we're huge BBQ fans - like Lewis, Wright's, SAW's, etc. so maybe it's just not our style. I love smoky, well seasoned meats.

The only thing keeping my visit from being a five-star experience was the pace of the service. They weren't particularly busy while we were there, but service was still noticeably slow. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and pleasant, so it wasn't a hospitality issue at all--we simply spent more time waiting than I would have expected given how quiet the restaurant was. So, as I was told by the staff, the restaurant portion has been spun off and sold from the brewery itself, so this is my first visit for food, since that has transpired. It is now known as "BUDS & BREWS CHATTANOOGA", part of a larger group out of Nashville, I was told. The bar/brewery looks the same, there is the same helpful staff, but in all honesty, the food just isn't as good. The pulled pork, was okay at best, the fried onion rings, just too greasy, and the chicken wings, just too dry. When first opened NR was the first microbrewery to prepare and offer their own food, and the bbq was stellar, but I cannot make that same statement today. Brews are still good, but if need a good microbrewery in Chattanooga that can offer you good food to go along with that cold one, my recommendation is either Oddstory or Five Wits. I'll continue to come to NR for a beer, as their Moonpie Stout is absolutely one of the best beers you can find in Chattanooga, but like I said if I am hungry too, this will no longer be one of my primary spots to consider.
