Found this little gem and decided to try it out. When we walked in there were several families seated eating seafood and a dj with the full set up. It was a nice authentic touch. It was a Friday so I'm not sure you would want to come here for a romantic date night but if you are looking for good food and some live music, this is the spot. We ordered the trio fajitas (asada, chicken and shrimp) and a wet super burrito. It was very flavorful. Everything tasted fresh. The fajitas meat was all cooked to perfection and the onions and peppers were cut just right, not to thin, not to thick. The sauce on the wet burrito had a spicy kick and was very tasty. Brought out another shrimp tostada, originally I ordered with no onions and the incorrect one had no onions, however the shrimp was uncooked. I ordered a tostada Cammaron cocina- (cooked not raw) When she came back to check on us she offered my boyfriend more water and only refilled his water even though mine was empty. In the end when we asked why the original tostada was still on the bill she said " I would have removed it if it was my mistake." It was her mistake. Once I tried the Chille verde I was hooked. Whoever is in the kitchen knows how to cook!

Friendly service. The server was helpful with food suggestions. Green avocado salsa was delicious. We ordered the tacos dorados de camarón, camarones zarandeados and one queso birria taco. Pupusas here 9/10 I had the bean and cheese and just a regular cheese, it's how I order em., horchata 10/10, quesabirria 9/10, Gilroy might be sleeping on this place. I came and wasn't busy, me and one other dude enjoying our food. He said he always gets the quesabirria here, as enjoyed a michelada.! We have been to dinner here several times recently & the food is always good. Not sure why it took us so long to try but glad we finally did. We've had the guacamole which was excellent, different tacos, carnitas platter, chile relleno, etc. their margaritas are excellent too. We even have taken family visiting from out of town & they all loved it. Done night they gave Karaoki which was fun to watch. Prices were too high, quality of food was poor, service was not great. I got the chili verde for 18.99 and I got maybe 4 pieces of pork. Absolutely ridiculous. My husband ordered a soda and received a canned soda and paid $3.75. For ONE can. Waitress never came back and refilled our waters or asked if we wanted more chips and salsa. The only reason I'm giving this place a 3 star rating is because some of the food is pretty good and the drinks are good as well. While I'm sitting here eating I saw 2 couple walk out pretty upset because the service SUCKS, there are currently 4 tables and 2 waitresses but it seems like they just don't know how to handle it, there are also like 2 tables that have not been cleaned up and I've been here for about 40 mins or so. Let me just say that the food is not the problem here, the service provided by the waitresses is the only thing holding this place from a 4.5 star rating. Giving this place 5 stars because the ambiance was so Much fun. We came on a Sunday for my moms birthday dinner in which they had a Dj and karaoke going on. (Dj and karaoke happens every Friday & Sunday evenings) Our waitress was nice and took our order pretty quickly. We ordered aguachiles as an appetizer which the flavor was ok, I've honestly have better. But the "mar y Tierra" molcajete was delicious! It had steak, chicken, chorizo,and bacon wrapped shrimp over cheesy beans and it's big enough for 2. If you have picky eaters, they have really good carne asada fries and other great options. Towards the end of our meal, the staff came out with sparklers and gave my mom a birthday margarita, as well as a desert. Such a fun experience that we will definitely be coming back. I was in Gilroy for 2 days helping a friend do some remodeling to his rental house. We had lunch at Chapala twice, the first day just because we saw it and it looked inviting, the second time because we loved it. We had their 3 tacos combo, they were amazing! and that beef sauce is to die for! But the service is also really good from really nice people.
