I bought a car April 22, 2022. I was told the car has no leaks. I was told the tires are good. I was told the car passed a safety inspection. I had the car inspected from a local shop in Piney Flats. That was my first mistake. They did a test drive and inspection in less than 30 minutes. That's a whole other review. The Buyers Guide listed the car "AS IS". After trailering the car home and two separate inspections later, per both inspections, the car is unsafe to drive. Estimate to repair is $8200 and $11,000. I paid $7988 cash/certified check. BEWARE. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. If you have had problems, please do the same. It's free. They will follow up. I am doing other things as well. I have asked for a refund because the car is unsafe to drive. Per Monica, NO REFUNDS. AS IS. Well don't you think the car should be able to be driven? I trusted them. They lied to me. I have all the proof I need. Please take time to file a complaint if you have had issues. They should not be allowed to do business in this matter. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! WORST MISTAKE U WILL EVER MAKE! Before u start reading... my jeep stopped starting 2-3 days after I made my payment in Dec 2020. I just spoke with the owner. When I purchased this Jeep it was $8500. I've been paying $360 per month for over 2 years now never missing a payment. So that means that I have paid at least $8800 just in car payments. I've had problems with it since week one when the air conditioner went out on it and they would not help me with it. A month later the window wouldn't roll down. And then there's been problems ever since I've paid probably $2000 or more in shop fees. She wouldn't work with me at all. She asked me if I want her to come get it!!! I asked her the balance of what I owe and she said $6900!!! I can't believe it. It makes me sick to my stomach. I think I'm just going to go get another car somewhere else. People be aware of Chaparral Used Cars in piney Flats Tn, sold me a truck with a blown head gasket, bad ignition switch, and electrical issues. Been contacting management since day after I purchased (1-22-18) and just now got her on the phone. She said she won't do anything to help and it wasn't her problem. Tim Shepard was my salesman, had no issues with him but I do have a problem with a dealership not standing behind their vehicles. Businesses like this are why people hate buying cars. By far the worst business I have EVER been to in my life. Bought a car there in 2015 and ever since I have not missed any payments. My car has been shut off twice even though I made my payments correctly. This time they shut my car off after only 28 days after my monthly payment. Service is horrible. The lady at the front desk is most miserable person I have ever met and she tries to make you miserable while you make your payment. If by chance you do decide to buy from this business then be sure to keep every receipt. I wouldn't put it past them trying to charge you extra in the end. I walk in the building after spotting a car I was interested in. I inquired about the car, and Mike Johns asked, "Which one, there are two." I let him know I only saw one and described the model, he then corrected himself, "Oh yes, we sold the other one," and gave me the price of the car I was interested in. I went back to take a second look, walked back into the building, after finding a few sites say that the price was about $1,500 above retail, to see if he was firm on the price. He said that he was. I took a card and told him I thought it was high, but that I would consider it. I shopped some other dealerships, but did not find what I wanted, so I call Mike back to inquire about why it may be listed above the normal price. To find out if there may be some information I did not know about. Before I finish my question he aggressively blurts in saying that Kelly Blue Book is not reputable, and the price is what it is. I clarified that I checked multiple sources, and I was just curious about anything that I may not be aware of that would raise the value of the car. I was met with accusations of just trying to get the price down because I didn't like it, then he abruptly ended the conversation with a, "Have a nice day." I have definitely had better service at the DMV. I don't car how great the car is you can keep it. read more

I contacted their sales team via email the same day a car came available on their web site, That was Friday. There was no information on it, no price no pictures no miles. Form response email said someone would contact me, no one did. I called Saturday and was told by each location (they have 3) it was at the other location. Internet sales manager texted me and assured me the car was available and someone would call me back. No one did. I reached out to him , he apologized Monday, crazy busy, Tuesday lots of foot traffic too busy, Wednesday wow another day we couldn't get to you we are busy. I live in Atlanta and see dealerships that are no where as busy as a Buick dealer in Johnson City TN., they should all move there.
