We've become regulars at Attalus Coffee, mostly to explore their rotating pour-over offerings. Each visit has been consistently excellent. The team is welcoming, genuinely knowledgeable, and always happy to chat through the tasting notes or offer recommendations when I can't decide between beans. You can tell they care just as much about helping people enjoy coffee as they do about making it. For my husband, the benchmark is espresso. He's always searching for a shot that's balanced, sweet, and expressive. It's been a surprisingly difficult thing to find, but somehow, Attalus nails it every single time. His go-to is a double shot over ice, and it's one of the few places we've found that is able to deliver consistently! As much as we love discovering new cafés, we're incredibly grateful to have a shop of this caliber so close to home. Attalus has easily earned a permanent spot in our regular rotation.

I honestly don't even know what I was thinking ordering that combination. I am not the type to get floral drinks and I didn't know that the wildflower syrup would be so strong. I think I wouldn't have minded if the matcha flavor was strong but it was pretty watered down and had a pale color :( Not sure if I'll come back because it's out of the way for me. There is now a Tesla Supercharger so navigate to that instead of the cafe so that your Tesla preconditions while you enjoy your morning. They no longer support their own app and have turned the keys over to Square to create an account to make it easier to pay and reorder. The ready times you get in the app are later than it's usually ready so I recommend giving them 10-20 minutes lead time. Here's my rating of the variety of foods and drinks I've tried. Undertow - 8 - Fun twist on a cortado as the half and half is cold and they add a splash of vanilla. The hot espresso is carefully floated on top of the milk so that when you drink you feel the cold "underflow" of vanilla milk. Cortado- 8 - Small but powerful sip of espresso. I prefer it with half and half and a touch of sugar over Journey's method but it is a tasty sip. Lavender Latte - -10 - the best version of a lavender latte you'll ever have. Cherry Blossom Latte - 9 - The cherry syrup is very forward but blends nicely into the latte which gives it light finish. The coffee does get a touch lost so add an extra shot. Citrus Cocoa Latte - 9 - The orange syrup is prevalent throughout the drink but the cocoa starts to stand up more the last half of the drink. I don't prefer chocolate drinks but this doesn't taste like a mocha at all. Very well done Journey!!! Veggie n Egg Breakfast Wrap - 7 - Light and flavorful but needs some pop from another ingredient. I recommend using the Tapatio hit sauce to elevate it above our 7 rating for those that want some pop of flavor and can handle spice. Breakfast Hand Pie - 6 - The pastry wasn't crispy but it did have some crispy seeds on it to save the texture, a bit gummy for my liking. The filling was also creamy with more cheese than needed (and I love cheese). Although good, I wouldn't get it again because the flavor of the filling fell flat. First Class Wrap - 10 - If you can handle spice, the chipotle sauce is amazing amidst the variety of ingredients. This is my go-to and everybody I introduce it to gets it as well. Every business partner I've introduced this right off the freeway coffee stop has loved and kept as their own. It's a no brainer if you're headed down I-80.

I like my matcha stronger so I always add an extra scoop of powder and do less syrup and it's perfect. The default ratio is not strong enough and tastes more like milk. This is one of the more consistent Starbucks locations for matcha so I appreciate that! It's located right off the freeway so it's very convenient. The drive thru is pretty quick on most mornings around 7-7:30 AM especially if you order ahead on the app, it's rare that I get stuck in line for more than a few minutes. Busier hours might be a different case.

I've got four or five DoorDash orders so I'm standing there watching two people who could be making drinks while only one is. She asked if there was anything she could do and I said yes, you could make drinks because some of us don't want to sit here and watch drinks made for people that aren't even here yet. They had my drinks ready within three minutes instead of me, sitting there watching one person work her butt off while the other one stood there talking. This location always has a line, and it seems a lot of customers in the drive thru don't quite understand the way this drive thru works (pull all the way forward, go to lane with less cars, don't block the exit)... years ago staff would help guide people up to make sure cars didn't spill into the street, but I haven't seen that in a while now.

It was packed when we came (drive through) and when we were pulling out, the crowd was nonexistent - go figure right? It's my 2nd time - (1st visit was in Roseville and I was sick so couldn't really enjoy it) but since I'm a newbie - had to rely on my Mom to tell me what their menu was since I was driving. Menu wise, it's a bit overwhelming but managed to get the Kicker blended freeze - it was good and I went easy on the sweetness but it was still sweet. I think I won't do this again since the ice hardened through the drive back to the Bay. Overall - during rush hour, the employees are out taking orders to accomodate crowd control. Our server that day was a young man and he was super friendly despite the heat of being outside, which was super suprising but well received from yours truly! It's nice to have someone greet you with a friendly tone despite the weather. Will definitely frequent though their spot can get madly busy so please be patience and your order will be taken. It did mostly taste like milk as the tea flavor was hard to find. They claimed its dairy free with non-dairy creamer, but my stomach said otherwise :/ the jasmine milk tea had great tea flavor but it felt like they added 120% sugar and ice was non-existent. The drink was warm. We asked for light ice not no ice lol. The grass jelly was also extra sweet so this drink just felt overly sweet. Next time we're in the area we may try again but with less sugar levels and different drinks.
