We've become regulars at Attalus Coffee, mostly to explore their rotating pour-over offerings. Each visit has been consistently excellent. The team is welcoming, genuinely knowledgeable, and always happy to chat through the tasting notes or offer recommendations when I can't decide between beans. You can tell they care just as much about helping people enjoy coffee as they do about making it. For my husband, the benchmark is espresso. He's always searching for a shot that's balanced, sweet, and expressive. It's been a surprisingly difficult thing to find, but somehow, Attalus nails it every single time. His go-to is a double shot over ice, and it's one of the few places we've found that is able to deliver consistently! As much as we love discovering new cafés, we're incredibly grateful to have a shop of this caliber so close to home. Attalus has easily earned a permanent spot in our regular rotation.

I honestly don't even know what I was thinking ordering that combination. I am not the type to get floral drinks and I didn't know that the wildflower syrup would be so strong. I think I wouldn't have minded if the matcha flavor was strong but it was pretty watered down and had a pale color :( Not sure if I'll come back because it's out of the way for me. I'm sure their other coffees are fine, and I noticed they have Starter bakery for their baked goods which is a plus

The space is surprisingly large, with plenty of smaller tables for solo work and a lounge area with long tables and sofas if you want to spread out. It's located inside The Father's House, so be respectful of the environment, but the people here are wonderful and the overall vibe is calm, uplifting, and grounding. It is a really lovely way to begin the day. I also love the clean white walls and all the plants used as décor. It's such a bright, happy space that it honestly makes me smile.

What started as a great cup of coffee has evolved into a menu that pays homage to Filipino flavors with drinks like the ube matcha latte, banana q latte, and lilimansi matcha, while also celebrating the islands with favorites like the ʻohana latte. As much as I tell myself I'm going to branch out, I almost always default to my oat white chocolate mocha. It's consistently smooth, well balanced, and delicious every single time. Don't get me wrong, I genuinely enjoy the ube latte and the banana q latte, but my classic order wins almost every time. One thing that's remained constant over the years is the staff. They're always warm, friendly, and patient, taking the time to answer questions even when the line starts to grow. Whether you stop by their home inside Famous Creations in Fairfield, catch them at one of their pop-ups throughout the week, or find them at community events around Solano and Napa County, they're well worth seeking out. There is now a Tesla Supercharger so navigate to that instead of the cafe so that your Tesla preconditions while you enjoy your morning. They no longer support their own app and have turned the keys over to Square to create an account to make it easier to pay and reorder. The ready times you get in the app are later than it's usually ready so I recommend giving them 10-20 minutes lead time. Here's my rating of the variety of foods and drinks I've tried. Undertow - 8 - Fun twist on a cortado as the half and half is cold and they add a splash of vanilla. The hot espresso is carefully floated on top of the milk so that when you drink you feel the cold "underflow" of vanilla milk. Cortado- 8 - Small but powerful sip of espresso. I prefer it with half and half and a touch of sugar over Journey's method but it is a tasty sip. Lavender Latte - -10 - the best version of a lavender latte you'll ever have. Cherry Blossom Latte - 9 - The cherry syrup is very forward but blends nicely into the latte which gives it light finish. The coffee does get a touch lost so add an extra shot. Citrus Cocoa Latte - 9 - The orange syrup is prevalent throughout the drink but the cocoa starts to stand up more the last half of the drink. I don't prefer chocolate drinks but this doesn't taste like a mocha at all. Very well done Journey!!! Veggie n Egg Breakfast Wrap - 7 - Light and flavorful but needs some pop from another ingredient. I recommend using the Tapatio hit sauce to elevate it above our 7 rating for those that want some pop of flavor and can handle spice. Breakfast Hand Pie - 6 - The pastry wasn't crispy but it did have some crispy seeds on it to save the texture, a bit gummy for my liking. The filling was also creamy with more cheese than needed (and I love cheese). Although good, I wouldn't get it again because the flavor of the filling fell flat. First Class Wrap - 10 - If you can handle spice, the chipotle sauce is amazing amidst the variety of ingredients. This is my go-to and everybody I introduce it to gets it as well. Every business partner I've introduced this right off the freeway coffee stop has loved and kept as their own. It's a no brainer if you're headed down I-80.

There are several two-seat tables on the lower level and while I couldn't see all of the upper level, there appeared to be the same type of seating. There was only a single person working at the coffee shop but she was very friendly and efficient. In addition to coffee there were muffins, bagels, and some type of granola bars for sale. I counted at least 20 types of regular and sugar-free add-ins. Creamer etc., was off to the side. I will say, that for me, I had no cell service inside the coffee shop and had to go and stand by the window and wait for service to re-connect. I can't complain when I purchased a large latte' with an extra shot for under $4.00!!!!!

Monday had a completely different dynamic. From the very beginning, the staff was huddled by the juice press complaining about the music playlist and debating how & who was going to address the problem of the music playlist (or lack thereof - not sure which). Eventually, one of them acknowledged us and took our order. We sat down to wait and that's when the cashier walked over to the staff that was standing by the juice press and they continued complaining about the "playlist" or creating a playlist or something *I dunno* All I know is that one person was standing at the juice press and waiting for something and the other employee just stood there talking to her about the music playlist and who is "going to tell him". It was a full 6 minutes of us just sitting there. Nobody was even attempting to start my coffee order. My husband finally got up and told them that we are on a timeline. That's when the employee standing next to the employee staring at the juice press walked over to the Expresso machine and started to make my drink. Then they made it incorrectly, giving me only 2 shots not the 3 that I paid for. Then she proceeded to dump some of the liquid from the cup out and simply added another shot. This is wrong on so many levels. The coffee is delicious, the cold pressed juices are fresh and perfectly balanced. The customer service is hit/miss. Oh, and the tip jar is back front and center. Ironic that is is the last thing I was willing to do after the crappy service. PS Not sure what all the fuss is about the music playlist, BUT it's a BIG F*ing Deal for Mondays staff. Please address it so that they can focus on making coffee. Thanks.
