Just Brittney the owner works there. It was so relaxing that when I tired to get off the table I had a hard time b/c I was so relaxed from my 90 min facial. I am glad she had walked out b/c I am sure I might have looked intoxicated. Brittney was calm, cool and collected with such a soft voice and touch. She was friendly and kind. My skin looks amazing today. I had not had a facial in quite a few years. I also liked that she didn't try to upsell me or pressure me into buying products. She does have them available but I was not given the normal sales speeches a lot of places give you, which to me is a plus. I have already told my friends about her place who live in other cities in middle TN and they want to come do a spa day with me at Advanced Skin. Brittney, I loved my facial and getting to know you. I've been here for 2 years and after reading in particular the poor reviews... felt the need to share my experiences. This studio is such a comfortable and safe place. They have complimentary drinks and have comfortable seating when waiting. The rooms are nice and clean with a comfortable bed. Especially if you are getting more than one area waxed. All of the staff are welcoming, considerate of your needs, and polite. Concerning the negative reviews, no I have never been offered incentive to leave a good review. They let you look and give you a mirror to check if there are any hairs left on your body. If you see some speak up. I had a time, not with Micah, where I saw some hair and the esthetician was more than happy to wax that area. Pain? Seriously, it's a wax and they do hurt. Everyone's pain tolerance is different but they are in no control over your pain. Overall, I recommended this studio to many of my friends who have told me that they thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Not everyone's experience is the same, but I couldn't be happier with this studio and Micah.

First, I have had facials in different parts of the country and overseas. I know what is a true and real facial feels like. This was not it. This is on me for not making time on carefully research this place. The DMK felt like the " esthetician" watched bunch of you tube videos and mimic the steps. There was no facial massage, it was more like throwing the products on your face which literally it happened that way. Lily was lovely and everything but one thing is the personality the other is the execution of work. The place: people go to have a facial or massage in a place that is zen and quiet. It's a space for healing and focus. There's no privacy. The working areas are separated by panels. There are no doors but curtains facing the checkout counter. I could hear the next door client chatting with her esthetician nonstop. For that you go to therapy or simply have that session at home. It was distracting and extremely annoying. The choice of music and volume not okay. It gave me the impression these people wants to make quick money without having proper practice and real experience. I'll keep looking and make the time to check on their certificates online. The ones on the wall look pretty fake. I know this is a brutal review but this impression was fully created by you-- the business. I support women owning businesses but please do it right!
