I have gone to Chapman Car wash now and then over the last 30 years. used to be fairly regular. Since my husband retired he has been washing and waxing our car himself. we took a two week vacation and when we returned he decided he would have them wash the car and clean out the inside. Well we could have done better ourselves. They clean the outside fine because the washer did it but did a half a** job on the inside. The only door that was really clean was the drivers door. This is a van I'm talking about. All the other places where there are cup holders still had pine needles I. them. on one sliding door something had gotten smudged on it. they didn't even try to clean it off. Suffice it to say that once I got home and really look the inter over I was not happy. All this took two hours for them not to throughly clean the car. And this was with the "Managers Special". Stopped by for a car wash...and to support my old stumping ground local business. It's sad that the folks who work here are just WAY less than before...usually they have about 7-10 guys cleaning the cars, now just 3. The prices are also up too. Pulled up at 2pm and wanted to get a "hand car wash". Guy at the front told me 45 minutes and wash took 2.5 hrs. The reason I'm put hand car wash in quotes is because they washed my entire truck with a brush and did a very poor job. I originally took my car in cus there was quite a bit of bird poop on my hood and roof. When I got the truck back it was still there, and since I didn't want to waste any more time I just took the keys and left. I ended up having to go to a self serve car wash down the street and had to do it myself. Not sure what took so long, because there was plenty of people working and cars were just not moving. Now I can see why the reviews have been declining. I just moved back to the area and noticed there isn't a ton of hand car wash places, but if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. They are busy so they don't really care about quality. They just push out as many car as they can. 2nd time I used them. The first time they missed a few spots and after pointing them outt hey just quickly wipped off the spots. This time, again, they missed a few spots and even after doing a walk around and pionting them out the guy didn't bother to clean the missed spots. Took the family van here after the recent rain. Ordered the luxury wash. Got here at 10:45 AM on a Saturday. Only 5 cars in the check in area. Looked at the area again at 11:38 AM, the van still hasn't gone in the wash. In addition to all of the other comments on here, I don't understand how I will ever come back. The quality of wash is mediocre at best. As for the value, the actual wash price doesn't take into account you are wasting 60-90 mins of your time. Simply not acceptable and clearly the owner doesn't care. Can I give zero stars? I went there today and pointed out tree sap on my car and requested they make sure to remove it before sealing it with wax. The assistant manager went and got some solution she called acid and tested it. It came off she later told me they couldn't remove it but a clay bar would. She stated that's usually $140 but you paid $64 already so I'll only charge you $40 more. I agreed. After a few hours my car was finally ready. I recently visited Chapman Car Wash and overall I left pretty disappointed. The waiting area was decent and comfortable enough while waiting for the wash, which was probably the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, the actual service did not match the price they charge. The pricing is honestly not that great for the quality of work received. My car wash felt very rushed, and when I got home I noticed several areas that were not cleaned properly. There was still dirt and grime left in spots that should have easily been taken care of during a standard wash. For the amount they charge, I expected much more attention to detail. Another thing that stood out to me was seeing what appeared to be an underage kid at the entrance holding a chain to let cars in and out. I'm not sure if that's even legal, but it definitely came across as unprofessional and strange. Overall, I don't feel the service justified the cost, and I probably wouldn't return. The haunted car wash was good, but the zombie car wash at Chapman Car Wash was even better! A lot less crowded because it is not as well known yet making it a bit of a secret gem. There were more zombies, monsters, and creatures. One of them even shook our SUV which was fun for the kids. More special effects with laser and strobe lights, a radio station for eerie music, and other devices to make startling sounds. It was also a few bucks cheaper and no need to make reservations at a certain time slot. Today I decided to go out and spend some money and relax. My car did not need a wash but being that I have some things to do with my daughter later today I decided to get the car nice and clean for her. This is the first time ever I have Shown up to a car wash and left in need of a car wash. There were streaks all over the car water spots all over the chrome accents. The first time was decent this time I paid $42 plus a tip at the end which he didn't deserve, but I was being nice only to have to drive to the park get out and clean my car myself I will not be returning to this car wash. It was a poor job. I have been here a few times, it's always been a 3 but for something quick I dealt with it. However, today I came had my car washed, they minimally cleaned and dusted the inside, BUT what is not okay is that my back seat won't slide back now. I don't know what they did to my back seat but now it won't slide back. This is a 2025 high end car, and it's going to be costly to have the seat removed to find the issue. During my visit last week, not only did my car receive a lackluster cleaning job, but I also encountered a shocking incident of theft. Upon returning to my vehicle after what should have been a routine carwash, I discovered my wallet missing. After a frantic search, I approached the shorter middle aged, heavier set Hispanic man that checks you in and asks which wash you want. He is always there, to inquire if they had seen it. To my utter disbelief, I noticed my wallet peeking out of the back pocket. I noticed this after he told me no. This blatant act of theft not only left me feeling violated but also concerned for the security of other customers. The attitude of the attendant when confronted was dismissive and unapologetic, compounding the already distressing situation. In addition to this unsettling experience, the quality of the carwash itself was subpar. The interior was left half-cleaned, with obvious spots missed and dust remaining in several areas. I wish these instances were isolated but several times in the past the heavy set (fat), short, Hispanic guy has tried to over charge on washes so many times I cant count. He pushes details and hand washes because i'm sure there more commission for him. Overall, I strongly advise against this place.
