The staff is always extremely kind, but the service appointments take very long. Basic oil changes always take around 2 hours. I was told my appointment yesterday would take around 2.5 hours, but it took a little over 4. I had an oil change, tire rotation, and brake fluid replacement. The service advisor I had, Donna, was great about keeping me informed and checking on the status though, which I greatly appreciated! Fortunately, I brought my work with me so I could stay busy, but 4 hours for that type of appointment after being told it would take 2.5 was bothersome. read more

The most important factor in my opinion is, to trust your "service advisor". Mine was, and has been "Taylor" for some time. I was advised that $840 in car upkeep/maintenance costs were necessary. Too include; an oil change, air cabin filter replacement, tire alignment and rotation, along with fluid exchange, and AC system maintenance. Trusting Taylor, I invested into the upkeep of my Hyundai Tucson 2021 with about 40,000 miles. I use my car for my medical sales position and need to feel confident and comfortable in my weekly travels. Therefore I trust the good name of Hyundai to keep my vehicle healthy and Taylor to be honest on what is important and necessary. My vehicle felt different/better immediately! I negotiated some of add-ons out of the price and the response was fair and equitable though that did add time to visit. Happy with car after driving it the 50 miles home and to work this morning. The only thing that could have been better was the wait time to get to the Finance guy and close the deal. I've bought cars in less than 45 minutes after test drive. I'm 81 yrs old and have driven/owned cars for 60+ yrs. In the last 45 yrs my wife and I have lived in the east valley and used one dealership for most of our automotive needs. My old dealership needed 2-4 DAYS to diagnose/replace the front passenger seat belt. I got the same response from a different location for this dealership...they offered to take me to a car rental agency. I asked (begged) my wife to see if she could handle this for us. I came to Chapman Hyundai to see their deals on the Ioniq 6 and see my options to lease or purchase one. I told them I had already driven the Ioniq 6, liked it and wanted to see lease pricing. Their response was unless I was serious and wanted to buy today they weren't interested in showing anything. They also tried their usual smoke and mirrors that their online promotion of $7500 Hyundai lease cash was limited time only even though Hyundai has been rolling that promo for months now since Teslas price war made their 50k EVs over priced. If these guys act like this in the first 5 minutes imagine how they'll treat you once you decide to purchase a car with them. Don't waste your time and if you really need an EV that bad go get a Tesla Model Y who don't play games and actually let you drive their cars for 37k OTD. If you need an ICE car check out Penske, Avondale Toyota or Centennial Auto and Leasing for honest transparent service. Edit: business replies that I refused to show their quote I got from a competitor when I brought up their Ioniq 6 leasing deals. I had not contacted or visited a Ioniq dealer before this and was responding to their Hyundai America leasing promotion stating $189/mo with $7500 lease cash for an Ioniq 6 SE. Luckily after two bad experiences with local Arizona Hyundai dealers that wouldn't show pricing or what was on their lot I was able to get in contact with Harbor Hyundai in Long Beach which was transparent with their inventory and leasing options.
