This place is probably my favorite place to study & the ONLY place I study. This is why: -extremely quiet (which is a plus for me bc I can't really study at coffee shops bc of the coffee grinding noise) -you can bring your own food, snacks, and drinks -across the library, (drumroll)...STARBUCKS -microwave (to heat up your food), which is a plus -FREE Wifi...(free for everyone) -parking is a little tricky to find esp during regular school hours, but I always found parking. Just make sure you don't park in the spots that require a parking permit -open late during school hours & still late during summer hours -clean library You probably think I'm a student here, but I'm not hahah. I just enjoy studying at this library and get most of my work done, so I love it here! I hope this place doesn't get too crowd..after this review . (Just kidding-half joking)

I come to study every weekend! Its one of the best Libraries I've been to! I would def. recommend for studying on weekends. They have whitte boards and supplies if needed. Just remember to pay for parking because, they will ticket you LOL

Me and my buddy are studying to be personal fitness trainers and we needed a place outside of the house where we can focus. To start, this library is super quiet and well maintained. There is free wifi and there are plugs to charge your laptop. The reason I'm giving four stars is because parking is difficult. There is very limited free parking especially during the week. During school hours there is very limited seating as you can see me and my buddy were stuck in the copy room. It was no big deal but still a bit uncomfortable. Another thing, one time all the toilets were clogged on the second and third floor. I mean yeah you guessed it I had to go number 2 lol luckily there's bathrooms on the fourth floor. All in all its a pretty good place to study on the weekends especially Sundays.

The view from the upper floors. Such a nice day out while I'm stuck inside studying.

I live in libraries so it makes sense to review them right? This is another great place to study. The library itself and it's surrounding building are very aesthetically pleasing. The fountain in front of the library is nice to relax by; it changes colors in the evening. - Extremely quiet and clean. - Free parking is easy to find nearby campus. - Free wifi available and it's decently fast! - Multiple floors and there's lots of available seating! - There's spots to charge your electric vehicle but you have to pay for parking/charging I believe. - Plenty of outlets to plug in all your devices. - Cool displays of Disneyland and other knick knacks. - Lots of little reading nooks. - They have things like staplers, rubber bands, paper clips, etc available in the printing areas if you need them. I'm so jealous of the students at Chapman because of this awesome library. Everyone seems very focused and the environment is conducive to studying. I would go here every day if it were closer to my house!

Coffee + chargers at every table + silent library = super focused studying

After slaving away countless hours here studying for the DAT, I can finally thank this place for providing me a quiet, clean, and outlet friendly location to get on the study grind. Love that almost every seat has an outlet!! Definitely a life saver when working on assignments or procrastinating on the web. If you're craving for a snack, the first floor has a small cafe and vending machines to grab a drink or something to munch on. In terms of parking, always drive around the campus first! I've been lucky to find parking on the streets by campus and after 6pm you can park longer than 2 hours. Definitely one of my favorite libraries to study at!

Ask the Community - Chapman University Leatherby Libraries

Is this still currently open (despite COVID-19)?

Open only for curbside pick up ,but not entry

Which floor or area is fine to talk/discuss if you do not have access to the study rooms? Or are study rooms available for the public to reserve?

Maybe just the cafe area that's open 24 hours. Otherwise No talking on any floor of library.

I came here to get a specific book that this library had and none of the other OC libraries had…read more(about an Arctic shipwreck). Of course you can have a book shipped from any OC library to one close to you but I was curious about the Tustin library, never having been there. I walked in and my first impression - it's HUGE. An enormous lobby with a large children's section to the right and a larger adult area to the left. The library was neat and well organized - I found the book within a minute. So I browsed around a bit and ended up getting a couple others too. On my way to check out my books I passed a classroom full of computers, and it appeared as though some sort of class had just adjourned. Other reviews mention it is a bit noisy here but I honestly didn't experience that on a weekday afternoon. Since I did self-checkout, I didn't interact with any of the librarians so I was unable to impress them with riveting conversation about the Dewey Decimal System.

This is one of the few places where a presidential birthplace and burial site are both on the same grounds. Amidst a gorgeous reflecting pool, rose garden, and the palm trees typical of Southern California, Richard Nixon and his wife are buried about 50 feet from his birth home. The house lies in its original footprint when Francis Nixon built the modest house on a rural citrus ranch in 1912. It's perfectly preserved in the middle of a busy suburban setting today, included in the tour. Surprises within the sprawling complex include a replica of the living room at the Nixon's beach house in San Clemente, a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, a chunk of the Berlin Wall, and oil from Saudi Arabia's first oil well. There are countless other artifacts! Best of all, you might enter the museum thinking of Nixon as scandalous, a Republican who became America's only president to resign. But you'll leave with a deep understanding of, and appreciation for, the impact Nixon had on abolishing the military draft, developing relations with China, and signing legislation that would advance women's sports, protect countries against nuclear war, desegregate southern schools, protect the environment, and even initiate the end of the Cold War.
